WARNING!! The reality of joining the cx (from someone who wishes he'd had this knowledge before wasting my money on the subscription)
This comment is not intended for the video publisher, just people (like me) who were using these videos for educational purposes. I feel it's my responsibility to inform and educate - and I will at any given opportunity (comments on videos)
Poor wages (Earn from £6 an hour) You'll be lucky to ever reach minimum wage after taking off your business costs.
Poor amount of work on the fringes of the U.K - You are at a massive advantage if you live between Manchester and London.
Not enough work to get you near home (again on the fringes) - expect dead miles - only solution is to stay out all night.
Shippers take advantage of the bidding system and expect a premium service but won't pay for it. CX needs regulation.
Some shippers won't pay you (you won't get any help from the CX - they won't even reply to your complaint) Only way to get paid is a small claims court but then you run the risk of the company being bankrupt or the fee being equal to the money owed.

CX definitely need to start pulling up the shippers consistently try and get out of paying for work do.
It’s disgusting how we get treated 😡

On my second year on the CX and its definitely been a lot slower than my first. I truly believe it's where you live. It's hard down in the south coast unless you're prepared to stay out all week to chase the money.
The Midlands does seem to be the sweet spot for work. Whenever I'm around that area the phone constantly pings whereas Kent, Sussex and south of
the M3 ,M27 and towards Exeter is pot luck to find work especially return loads. Fingers crossed next year will pick up...
    Merry Christmas

It has been the flattest year tbh. No pick-up in the 3rd quarter, just a flatline of steady work. Lots of moaning from CX drivers about how slow this year has been. Prices up. Recession has bitten and we will hopefully slowly crawl back out of it when Putin and the West Bank stop attacking each other. It’s not easy being an owner driver, but do it well and you will be kept busy. Merry Christmas all.

Two months on CX, and i’m quite happy with it. You can only do one job at a time and had a good mix of short/long, for less than £10 a day it’s certainly better than trying to ring round or win your customers. Full review from me at 6 months.
One question. Some airport jobs ask ‘for airport experienced drivers’. Apart from obvious chicken & egg, what is the issues on airport jobs that mean this is requested.
    Keep up the good work

Hi Pete, I’m still debating if joining the cx is still worth it, in the meantime I’m focusing on my security work whilst raising the funds to join if I decide to

Hi Pete, this year has been as flat as a witches tit from a work point of view. I, for one, will be pleased to see the back of 2023.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you mate...

Ive just seen a TH-cam Short video of a tesla car towing a 40ft
Truck fridge trailer in the states with ease
The tesla car is fully autonomous obviously with full Self driving mode but being driven in this example but the truck trailer ihas a single axle at the front of the trailer tgat supports the weight of the front of the trailer etc like they use in Australian road trains etc of 3 or 4 trailers etc but the tesla car just powers the electrics and steers the traiker etc its the future of trucking
To see this video on youtube just type
Tesla car towing a truck trailer
And you can see that tesla cars have replaced the need for truck cabs

Courier exchange doesn't own the jobs just the digital marketplace... We as drivers need to up the rates-- go against the shippers .-they dont have the vans or the shipping methods to deliver for there customer base without the vans on the CX or they wouldnt be on it... Its the business year thats down no doubt... CX has helped me so much in the past--get my customers from it---But we keep sucking the ring of certain shippers ---Love you pete.---godfather of the youtube couriers.---Merry xmas
