The latest market situation in real estate in Japan

  • 1. Japanese Govt opened the border in the middle of October 2022. Since then, inbound tourists have flooded in; however, with the lack of Chinese tourists, the number of visitors is not as large as before Covid.
    2. Everyone is still wearing the mask.
    3. The real estate market is still very steady, but it looks like it is reaching a peak and will go sideways.

    As a retired senior citizen on Social Security living in the United States I have two compelling reasons to want to move to japan. One of them is I can't afford the high property taxes anymore. America has no respect for senior citizens and War veterans. The other is that the borders are wide open and we are letting in the worst of humanity and it's showing in our crime statistics. What's worse is we're not allowed to defend ourselves against these Criminal invaders. Europe and South America are a lost cause. The only country that seems to be still saying in this regard as japan. And many of my friends moved there 40 years ago and I stay in touch with them. I am a bit envious of the fact that they can live with such low taxes in rural Japan while I can't afford to keep my home in the United states. That said, I am an entrepreneur and I run an amplifier repair business in the us. I would like to run a similar business in Japan catering to the high-end audio files. But it seems that there are too many obstacles to getting started especially if you're older than 40.

    Hello Mr. Yamamoto, enjoy your informative videos on buying real estate in Japan. How much does it cost to buy land and build in the outside of major cities and is it better to hire an Architect, or General Contractor, or a Developer?

    Yamamoto san konbanawa,
    Thank you for your videos. I live in Osaka and I'm the happy owner of our house here.
    I also have a property back in my country France and I am wondering if it would be a good idea to sell it to buy a property to rent in Japan ?
    is renting a property in Japan is smooth and secure ?
    Arigatougozaimasu,

    if i buy a house to live in japan, and a second hosue to rent, is possible to use that to get the investor visa?

    • @schnappueber
      @schnappueber 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, buying a house does not entitle you to a visa.
      Investor visa requires you to register a business and employ local people/people with resident status.
