I have used ChatGPT on a daily basis since Nov and use copilot for about half a year. My conclusion is tools like these will not replace human but instead allow human who knows how to use these tools effectively to replace those who can't. This phenomenon is generalizable to other tech tools.
Experts can now use AI tools to significantly increase his or her productivity. This actually will spell trouble for people with only average skills.

In other words: It makes the life of above average people even better while it makes the life of below average people even worse. That's a way to increasingly speed up the separation of the wheat from the shaft.

I started learning DS using roadmap which you've suggested in one of your previous videos (It's really great). I want to chime in my experience with ChatGPT as someone who started out Data Science recently (as of Feb 1st week, I literally started 3 weeks ago). I'm primarily using ChatGPT as my personal DS tutor and it's just AWESOME.
In the past I've tried multiple times to get into Data Science but failed. With ChatGPT it not only helps me where I'm stuck, it relentlessly explains why topic until I understand, and the best of all it provides me with well tailored notes for me.
I still feel ChatGPT doesn't replace most professions, but it definitely will lower the threshold, barrier of entry in many fields (like data science).

    As always, great video!
I'd like to point out that, although ChatGPT helps a lot in the coding/debugging process, it still makes a lot of mistakes when you are dealing with some more technical and advanced scripts. For example, when you ask it about pytorch or tensorflow, it confuses basic loss functions, or you ask for a particular neural architecture, and it gives you the wrong one; not to mention the syntactically wrong codes. It sure does help a lot, but you have to be careful, because many times it took me much longer trying to debug a chatGPT code than writing my own.

Job performance wise, we have to calibrate whether ChatGPT or any tool to get work done in shorter time in term of time consuming. Not mention to the headache to counter check if its outcome reliable or not
I used to hunt any software or whatever promising in increase my capacity but not all that glitters is gold or workhorse as expected but a burden.
After tried A.I tools on coding Visual Basic in vain I had to surrender of ambition to take advantage of it. ChatGPT outcomes extract from similar coding that somebody wrote somewhere else online before. A very stupid question that what if our the answer for our query is unavailable in ChatGPT dataset?
When it comes to dataset, we not sure where ChatGPT pull data to feed the outcomes? I'm not Data Scientists but we all knew that dataset of Google in one place (even inside Google we cannot access data IN MASS of TH-cam!), FB one place, Reddit?...If that is the case then ChatGPT outcomes reliable or not?
On ethic concern, data online packed full of lies, hoax, incorrect, contradict info... For those seeking TRUTH is nightmare! Just try some DEEP questions in politic you will see how it answer you

While not a data scientist, I earned my keep by being the numbers person for a Fortune 500 human resource department. Upon retirement, I taught basic statistics to MBA students. I have seen the arrival of calculators, spreadsheets, and statistical programs and how they have somewhat decreased the intelligence of business decisions by fostering a "magical" mindset toward decision-making. We put data into a black box and blindly accept whatever comes out of the box.
I am reminded of two jokes.
"Intelligence is the ability to find the smartest reasons for doing the stupidest things."
"Intellectuals and engineers work with words and numbers. The difference is engineers adapt words and numbers to the real world. Intellectuals attempt to adapt the real world to their words and numbers."
I fear that CHAT-AI may be another step in replacing engineers with intellectuals. The tragedy with magical thinking is that few decision-makers will be able to understand what went wrong inside the black box.
e able to understand what went wrong inside the black box.

    • @hiepnguyen220
      @hiepnguyen220 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I see AI's algorithmic interpretation as true & false trials to finally get to the finish line.
The problem is in the fact that the destination is not yet available, in other words the correct answer it gives us is not yet in the AI dataset.
Me too not data scientist but logically we can get what available in " black box" in your term. We all advised THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX right?

Ask it what it thinks of topological 4-geon theory, and while you're at it ask it to introspect it's consciousness about those thoughts, If it writes "I will think about that..." or that it is thinking, you know it is lying, but if it is not thinking is it truly lying? Ergo, be reductio ad absurdem, "it" is not an "I". So whatever else it's useful for, it cannot "replace" a human data scientist who can introspect their thinking.

When AI gets implemented DA roles will get gradually absorbed into DS position resulting in job growth in DS. DA roles will decline and eventually be practically eliminated like book keeper clerks and bank tellers as these roles are absorbed into accounting and bank associates respectively. DS will have job growth actually due to DA roles being phased out. Data Scientists won't be replaced by AI even if AI can do the job because like doctors, lawyers, pilots, engineers, these are all positions that need human authority. The AI work needs the human stamp of approve by the public or stakeholders in the data scientist case. But DA is going to be replaced. All DAs should transition to DS.

Provide the arguments used by the presenter to sustain that ChatGPT cannot substitute a data analyst or data scientist
The presenter argues that although ChatGPT is one of the most powerful language models to date, it still has many limitations and is unable to fully substitute a data analyst or data scientist due to its inability to understand definitions and abstract concepts, its lack of robustness, and its reliance on human feedback. The presenter also points out that ChatGPT cannot create new creative ideas or concepts, and is better suited for specific tasks rather than entire processes, which require expertise and the right foundation in statistics, math, and domain knowledge.

      Dear Pan,
The use of automation and technology should be used to enhance the capabilities of people and help to create new opportunities, rather than deskilling and replacing jobs. No worry, for human creativity NO in my view so far. What called A.I creation is COPY-and-PASTE in nature as some demo I saw
      Modern Gladiators:
Robot vs Human (A.I and combat skills),
Robot vs Robot (A.I and A.I),
Human vs Human (combat skills and combat skills)
Call me crazy, what if aliens appeared? Oh my god! The apocalypse is inevitable

Video making can be aided by AI and along with other tools. Many people will choose avatars over showing their own face. But I heard some analyst say humans will always want to see real people and it’s an advantage if you don’t mind showing your face. I like your not-fully automated video making style.

As a lot of experts added this in their opinion that it will certainly replace the low skilled jobs but with jobs which require logic on a more advanced way is where chat gpt can't work. It will make an amazing assistant but not a good executor of multitude of tasks.
