check out the soundtrack for The Space Between, he sings nearly all the songs & nearly all of them were written by Rivers Cuomo of Weezer, in fact the track Still Dreaming is actually a very early demo of I Want A Dog from Weezer’s most recent EP
Vesti La Giubba is an absolutely perfect song for Sideshow Bob to sing. It's about hiding your distress and grief behind makeup to make those around you entertained.
Gallant Gallstone My belief is that the movie was too full for him. However, since it came out in 2007, in 2008, The Simpsons ride came out & he was the main attraction and villain of it. (There is a cutscene that shows him escaping prison and going to Orlando, Florida to exact his revenge on the Simpsons) In a way, that's kinda smart marketing because although he wasn't in the movie, seeing him in a cool ride was a pleasant surprise that totally makes up for his absence.😊
I once read (forget where) that they originally planned to have Hank Scorpio as the villain in the movie, but because they wanted to reach a broader audience they made the new character Russ Cargil the villain ..... and, as a lifelong fan, when I heard that, I was actually incredibly disappointed because honestly, they have the BROADEST audience, spanning the world and generations. The movie would've been drastically better if they used either bob OR scorpio as the villain rather than this new guy nobody cares about
Yeah! Since there was already a "Treehouse of Horror” episode he was in, I remember seeing a couch gag where Homer turned out to be Sideshow Bob because he took off his skin, like on 1 of the other episodes I don’t think he was in.
Kelsey really sings very well. No wonder they let him sing "Tossed Salad And Scrambled Eggs" on Frasier. He sang very well on a Karaoke machine in the Cheers bar once. I also like "I grown accustomed to his face"
Daresay I say it, but Sideshow Bob is a pretty good singer! XD Almost hard to believe one of my favorite Simpsons characters is a homicidal sociopath...
I'm fond of this character as well. I know he tried to kill Bart several times, but as David Frigault said, Krusty himself admitted he was mainly responsible for Bob's madness. I remember the episode in which Bob genuinely wanted to redeem himself while his brother Cecil was working on a flood barrier. Bob did nothing bad this time, but still, Chief Wiggum caught him along with Cecil because he didn't want to believe Bart and Lisa as they kept repeating Bob was innocent. I was pretty sad actually, because I thought it screwed up Bob's last chance to be a better person.
@@PhebusdesTours Yeah, and in the Italian Bob, it wasn't Bob who destroyed his chance of being a better man-it was a drunken Lisa. Although Bob did encourage Marge to loosen up and give Lisa wine so...but it was Bart's idea along with his.
How ironic is it arguably the most iconic rendition of "For He Is an Englishman" in the last generation was performed by an American? ;) Kelsey Grammer = LEGEND!
Also I love that David Hyde Pierce chose to sing that song. They told him just start singing something so he chose that. It fits in well with the scene it's in. Also one of the funniest things from that episode was cut out due to time. It's on the DVD though. It's where Cecil loses the briefcase and gun over the cliff in the deleted scene you see moleman at the bottom outside his house. He sees the money falling notices the gun points the gun upward and says aright God now where's the rest.
he doesn’t sing in Sideshow Bob Roberts, Sideshow Bob’s Last Gleaming, Day of the Jackanapes, The Great Louse Detective, & Funeral For A Fiend, but i’m not sure about any of the episodes after that
Sorry, England-- But the greatest rendition of "For He Is An Englishman" of this generation was performed by an amazing American actor as a cartoonish villain with starfish hair taking a little time out for comic opera in between his quest to murder Bart Simpson. And that, simply, is a FACT, and I'm never wrong. (What never?) Well.........HARDLY ever. ;)
I love Sideshow Bob! I love hearing him sing 'Every Time We Say Goodbye', 'I Grow Accustom to his Face', and even though I am italian but trying to learn the language, I love hearing Bob's italian voice on 3:55.
3:55 is from Italian bob where they go pick up mr burns Lamborghini and the find out that sideshow "bub" XD is mayor. Then moments later Lisa gets drunk then shows bob is a escaped prisoner. So he sings this and blends in with Krusty in the Rome coliseum.
Now that Disney owns Fox, and Fox makes the Simpsons, and to an extent, Disney owns the Simpsons, I guess that would make Sideshow Bob a Disney villain. So now I gotta add his songs to my Disney villains playlist! 😂
Pretty ironic an American--as a cartoon, no less--sang one of the most memorable renditions of "For He Is An Englishman" in this generation... ;) But, I mean, come on, Englishmen...you have to admit--he may be an American (like me) but he sure puts on a show... He somehow even pulls a British naval uniform AND Union Jack from nowhere for that grand finale... Now THAT'S a showman! ;)
I do love Sideshow Bob and he's for me an artist ! He sings very well and he's talented ! Thank you for these songs ! Really ! I really love the italian opera song... He's so talented and magic (like Homer said)....TvT
It's so fitting that at the very end he says "The comedy is finished" and he thought for certain that he had just killed the main cast to one of the most popular animated sitcoms in history.
I love Kelsey's singing. He got some awesome singing chops. No wonder why Simpsons writers always want him to sing when he's making an appearance as SB.
3:22-3:55 Sideshow Bob's performance of this song is FAR better than any of the other versions I have ever heard. He puts eveyone to shame who performed in the HMS pitafore in the past, ever.
"For he himself has said it, and it's clearly to his credit, that he is an English man. He remains and Eeeeeeeeeengliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiish Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaan!" I love those line.
His voice cracked horribly at the end of that one long musical number in season five, so any good vocals from previous episodes are kinda null and void, y'know
I agree with you. He shares a birthday with one of my aunts. My mom and I nickname this actor "The Farter" because he voiced a character who farts a lot. It was Stinky Pete from Toy Story 2.
i mean seriously!!! He did sing on an episode of Cheers where they had a karaoke machine...he was awesome. No wonder they had him sing "Tossed Salad and Scrambled Eggs" later in Frasier.
we need more sideshow bob episodes, every time i hear of a new one i go try to find a web like iwatchsimpsonsonline to see that ep. (iwatchsimpsonsonline got deleted)
Why doesn't Kelsey Grammar just release an album. He's brilliant.
I want that. No, correction, I NEED that. He has done Broadway before, he could do a solo album.
OMG YES
check out the soundtrack for The Space Between, he sings nearly all the songs & nearly all of them were written by Rivers Cuomo of Weezer, in fact the track Still Dreaming is actually a very early demo of I Want A Dog from Weezer’s most recent EP
Kelsey Grammer has a great voice. No doubt about it.
The way he sings "Ridi, Pagliaccio, sul tuo amore infanto!"... Give me this version any day.
Great sound quality on this video of that recording too.
*Me singing along*
Bob: "This isn't a duet!"
Me: "Sorry"
Take him away boys for the very Good reference
Man, I wish there were more Sideshow Bob episodes, he's my favorite character
Is kind of a bit repetitive I mean their still great but you know
No I don't care your comment is ten years old
Everyone likes him, he's classy but he's also a wild card
"Turn down that original cast recording" - One of the best simpsons moments
ANYBODY ELSE WISH SIDESHOW BOB DID THE WHOLE VESTI LA GIUBBA SONG INSTEAD OF JUST THE ENDING
Yes. Pagliacci is my favorite opera.
Joshua Fleming and the whole non pui andrai as well.
It literally means,
"Sing you sad clown, sing of your broken heart."
Ironic that he hates Krusty and yet he's singing about a clown.
Always wish for him to sing the entire score of the HMS Pinafore
Yes. The literal two seconds he sang it was heaven tho 😭✋
Sideshow bob singing HMS Pinafore English man was so perfect XD
I'd pay so much to see Kelsey Grammar perform in a real production of HMS Pinafore. That Englishman piece makes me want more :
Ikr I almost cried listening to it
It got me to listen to the album on my phone.

Kelsey Grammer sings really well. He has a really handsome voice.
I agree!
Sideshow Bob and Tim Curry have the best villian voices
Oh yeah, like Tim Curry did a song from Disney’s “Beauty and The Beast The Enchanted Christmas”, which scared me since I was little.
The first one "on top of the world" is actually David Hyde Pierce, who plays his brother Cecil
But you know he doesn’t appear in that episode.
Kelsey Grammer has such a beautiful voice
I totally agree!
Vesti La Giubba is an absolutely perfect song for Sideshow Bob to sing. It's about hiding your distress and grief behind makeup to make those around you entertained.
I can't believe that 31 people disliked this beautiful masterpiece of a voice
And then Chief Wiggum created 4 more accounts to dislike it
It's not beautiful, it's stupid and corny
I didn't like it much either, but I also do... I'm not sure if that makes much sense to anyone else
@@EdnaK728 Username checks out
I thought it was alright, but not perfect like everyone else seems to claim
What a career Kelsey Grammar has had. Right in the middle of three of the best sitcoms of all time.
Anyone else swooning over Sideshow Bob's voice?
Me too! His voice is wonderful!
I sure am ❤
ME ME ME ME ME!!!
I am! 😩😳🥵
It's 2024, and I am happy there are still new generations of Sideshow Bob fans 🥺

I really like the majestic power with which Kelsey sings He Is An Englishman and the orchestra really goes well with his voice.

Kelsey Grammar needs to sing a LOT more.
He did when he did the voice of Vlad in “Anastasia” (1997) and the bear named Zozi from "Bartok the Magnificent" (1999).
AMEN to that 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

The fact that I have yet to find another version of "He Is an Englishman!" That does that fantastic falsetto, still hunts me to this day.
That wasn't a falsetto, Sideshow Bob's voice cracked at the end there and it was painfully noticable
I agree with Edna, his voice very clearly cracked at the end
