I once mixed together two tubes for a premixed colour in a larger tube. No air pockets I promise. Anway the whole tube went solid within a month! One of the original tubes was a very slow drying pigment so they must have added a lot of drier to it. Because when it was mixed with another, "the brakes were off buddy."
@@CallyKariShokka I've done lots of premixes as well, but it only happened this once. The offending tube was from a maker that supplied three ranges of oil paint, and this was one from their middle tier.

That color looks like the cobalt green Pg26 mixed with marble paint amongst other things.

Woah, so maybe this one was just a mix of different paints that didn't play well together? Maybe I've just been getting lucky with my mixes...

There are different shades of cobalt green pigment but production of them is very on and off, so not always available.
