I wonder where I could find this on DVD. I have a VHS tape that someone gave me when I was first getting to know and learn about trains and I still have the tape and it still plays good but it's not going to last forever. The Iron Road was a great episode of the American Experience. If they have the American Experience on DVD, which one actually had this particular episode? I would love to find it on DVD before my VHS tape fails.
The Transcontinental Railroad 150 years in the making Union Pacific spent a long time just to get it built but robber barons almost bankrupted it before it was built but eventually it was built and the big moment came when the rails were joined at Promontory 20 miles west of Ogden.
do you have the full version of this video? I would like to watch the whole thing since this is exactly what we are overlooking in my history class right now... or where can I watch the whole video?
no I have not been able to find it... I was able to find another very interesting video on PBS that I used for a paper on another class but nothing about this one.
I still have this on vhs tape from when my grandpa recorded it.
