He was fired after his behaviour with female coworkers and at cons came to light. You can blame the change of voice for his going sober.
Why would Atlas be expecting an attack, Qrow? Because of Beacon and Haven, maybe? Ruby was happier than you when Qrow put the flask down, and she rewarded him powerfully.
So, how'd you like vol 6? This volume had tons of lore bombs. Now, you move into the endgame volumes. Also, what I was referring to was the Adam fight being in the top 5. From episodes 11 - 12, which are part of the final episodes of vol 6. Looking forward to vol 7! W video!
If the series gets picked up and the crew gets to finish the way they want to, then we are right at the midpoint, the endgame wouldn't start till volume 10 probably, since I'm pretty sure that the original plan is for 12 volumes. If course, that is me hoping for the best.

1. Vol 8
2. Vol 6
3. Vol 3
