Thank You so much for the Ramp Video. We are building one now and your design has been a big help! Very Clear and you showed all the steps in a patient and easy to understand lesson. Great Safety Information too! Thank You!
Well, that is the best set of ramps I have seen for getting a tractor into the back of a pickup truck. The extra boards balanced at the top of the ramp keep the mower deck from bottoming out, ingenious. I know the arched ramps work well but the deck still seems to hit the tailgate of the truck. I was also considering truck ramps to raise the front of my pickup. Therefore lowering my tailgate to ground height but I like this idea better. Two thumbs up 👍👍!
Innovative design. I was intrigued by the fact that he was driving it up the ramp rather than backing it in. Hubby has a bad neck and can't turn his head to back the 0 radius the doctor recommended. :) Great, clear video.
A clever idea. It's easy to make and low cost. And too it prevents a potential safety issue. But all pickup truck ramp designs are dangerous. Slip off those narrow ramps and you may be in for a wilder ride than you planned for. Good job.
Gilbert Jaramillo I don’t think if he was really that smart he would put the strap on the aluminum bumper, any stress on that and it would just bend on pop right off
Sehr gutes Video. Bitte mach weitere Videos, weil hervorragend. Grüße aus Berlin /germany
You need a Non Skid surface for your ramps. Nail a few hundred bottle caps upside down to the wood for traction. Very interesting teeter totter (pivot) for your mower. Very tricky and a bit dangerous unloading. Well Done.
pretty slick idea. now you neet to modify it and make one with the pivot point on the ground and get rid of the two pieces of plywood. the entire ramp wlould teeeter totter with the tailgait end dropping down to the tailgait as soon as you reach the balance point.
Cool idea. I'd place some wheel chocks at the rear wheels...maybe fabricate the board to accommodate wheel chocks and use several straps to secure mower. However, if I had to use a pickup, I would only use one if I can shut the tail gate with a mower. With all of that said, I would never drive behind anyone with that setup. Also, I'd be worried the cops would stop me with that setup.
You don't have to worry about the cops if you put red flags at the end of those ramps during a clear day & under conditions of reduced visibility such as night, fog , or rain etc.... Amber or Red lights devices can be visible to other drivers.
If you really consider how much pain is to hook up and unhook a trailer, storing it perpetualy in your front driveway, driving it and dragging it around, Julio's idea makes sense. The teeter totter planks are a bit weak other than that it is safe and practical.
Great idea for a one time rider purchase point a to b, A+ for effort but good god man if I had to deal with that on every stop on our route I would loose my sanity!!! so much time wasted as far as efficiency. Efficiency becomes second nature in this trade brother!!!
I was thinking the same thing. I just want to load and go. It's definitely a good idea for someone with patience and someone who is not in the lawncare business; time is money. The only other problem is having to spend money for a larger pick up truck accommodation the equipment.
lol way too much work especially when you get to the destination. Has to be a better way but thanks enjoyed the video and very smart just too much work from stop to stop.
Julio found a solution to an old problem. You have a better idea how to get the mower into a higher truck like that? Not too much work if you only do it once or twice a year for a visit to the service center.
Richard Kenworthy I also happen to have a zero turn with a steering wheel I bypassed the seat safety switch to where I can switch it on and off I have a set of ramps that are aluminum with a slight border on each side of each ramp that allow the wheels to be guided somewhat they are very light ramps they have straps on the bottom of them around one of the cross rails and they connect to the bumper just as these do but only from The Middle which makes them more stable and they pull the same way and secure the ramps. Then I stand beside the mower with one hand I press the gas pedal and the other a steer or hold the wheel straight and the mower drives right up the ramps no need for that extra apparatus or jacking and removing or Anything like that. my ramps are slightly curved in an S shape and I put the deck at its highest position and it allows for the deck and goes right up onto the truck. simple. With a zero-turn like this with the bars all you would have to do is get a piece of PVC and stick both handles inside that way you could stand to the side and pull the bar which would allow the mower to go up straight and with the guards on the ramps it won't come off sounds like a lot writing this but actually it takes 3 minutes
@@PrincernPrince and this took 4 minutes for him to get the mower off the truck, while narrating.....his solution takes some time to build, but works.....

This man effort as a few functional issues but is good and valid. Although is trying to address a problem created by himself while choosing the wrong vehicle in the first place. Quite honestly for real world workers these pickup trucks are total BS. There is a good reason why the rest of the world seldom use them for real work. ;-) The loading area set above waist line simply doesn't make any sense. Specially considering that most work vans have it about knee height. Out of the showroom no mods added or needed! If we add on top that for the same vehicle length, you get way more loading area and cargo protected from prying eyes and hands, snow, rain, can load from the back and the sides, don¨t have a tailgate on the way, etc, etc. Well it simply makes one wonder why the "work smart, not hard" isn't applied. ;-) Cheers
Complex minds simple solutions, simple minds complex solutions. Get a 4x8 trailer $600 and you will be safe and never spend not even 1/10th of the time. Good luck
Life is not going to stop this guy. He will figure a way to go over, around or through the problems. We need more Americans like him.
Great solution to a common and often dangerous problem. Well done, and thank you for your helpful video.

What a fantastic solution to a very common problem. A little bit of work what a great alternative to something more expensive. Great job.
This is pure genius. I will be making one of these. The design is so simple and works so good. Awesome idea

I love it!! I have an old Ford F250 that I use to haul my mower round and this is a perfect solution. Thank you for the video!
You are a smart man. Thank you for the video. I always have trouble transporting my tractor when I need to. I may try and make those ramps.
Innovative design. I was intrigued by the fact that he was driving it up the ramp rather than backing it in. Hubby has a bad neck and can't turn his head to back the 0 radius the doctor recommended. :) Great, clear video.
It worked and nobody got hurt. Thanks for sharing.
Clever idea! Gets around the problem I'm having, of the unit bottoming out and getting stuck.
Julio-you are a genius. a lot of work-but i love your mechanical engineering know how. keep up your thinking.

I like this idea, I am not in a business so I need a way to load my riding lawnmower maybe once or twice every few months
Great job Julio, thanks for video!
You are a very smart guy who has lots of common sense. Very good video. Muy bien amigo!
Gilbert Jaramillo I don’t think if he was really that smart he would put the strap on the aluminum bumper, any stress on that and it would just bend on pop right off
No Way!! Too much everything!
Genius I don't know about!🤔
But he sure isn't letting Walmart dictate to him what he needs and how it needs to be built!
Great job man!🤯🤯✌✌👊👊
This guy is a genius.awesome idea
Very ingenious...!!! Thanks for the video
Brilliant, nicely done!
My mower even bottoms out on a lower trailer! This is a great idea!
A great do-it-yourself video💪💪💪

Very well done. A little labor intensive, but a homeowner only does it maybe once or twice a year. Unless he’s cutting Mom’s grass across town.

Great video
We’re in the process of doing same thing thanks for sharing your ideas

Very good bro nice
Very nice puppy 😂
Thanks for the video . nice puppy !!
Casi se te acabo El ingles😂... great video. You are awesome
I like this this is good great job
Beats the hell out of dragging around and maintaining a trailer. Especially if you have a limited front or back yard. Smart guy.
Very impressive Thanks!
Great idea!
Some great ideas, I like it!

Very good sir
Really efficient and cost effective solution to a common problem. Sorry it wont work for me, mower is too wide. Great process.
I reckon by the time you finish loading and unloading the mower if I hurry up I could build a two bedroom house.
Good idea. I just takes a lot of time. May be you can add something on the ramps to avoid slipping if wet.

Awesome brother
What keeps the ramps from possibly rolling to the outside? i.e. the drivers side ramp from rolling to the left.
The weight of mower and straps tight
Smart solution. Thanks.
Wow! Absolutely genius 👏
Very inginuitive well done!
Muy bueno....saludos desde morelos mexico 🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽

Trailer is way more convenient
That was pretty good .
Oiga don donde compro el metal qué lleva la madera en la punta? Lo ando busca y busca pero no lo encuentro
How much weight can they handle?
Nice work brotha
He should get a patient for that design.
good, very well done, now it is time to get out of the "water-zero" aguacero.

Richard Kenworthy A trailer.

Did the guy mention the length and the size of the 2x boards 2x10 or 2x12
A bit wider than his back tires, whatever size those are
very very smart man
Seems like it would be better to run front of truck onto some auto ramps which would lower the rear? or break down and buy some curved ramps?
Awesome! Good job!

used to say that new ways to do things are found or created when there is a strong and special need for them.
How long did you make your ramps? They look about 10ft.
Moto Minion 9'
In the interest of safety back a zero turn up the ramp. Come down with casters first.
Bravo!!!
I like it
well done
I did that idea better, same idea but jumping some steps, now is a lot easier and a lot faster...
New video?

I like it but to much 🕙 it takes.
buen trabajo gracias
It works, but check your tailgate cables often , I had two of them break at the same time , I was throwing shingle bundles on tailgate, safety first.
Bien echo gracias 👍
Julio - if you package the the hardware I would be interested in buying one - $35 to 40 range - we can by our own 2x8's - great idea. Mo
Brilliant but lots of work...Mexicans rule for good hard work. Are you mexican?
I think he's Irish.
Put the long rod in before putting on the board. Much easier to see.
Genius
Good video but you just waste 30 minute going up an 30 minutes going down. To much. Just get a trailer an,use the ramps only.
How is he taking 30 min if the video is only 13min?
Nonsense. I'll have mowed three yards by the time he's loaded his mower!!!!
Is it me ...or does this guy kinda sounds like Tony Montana from scarface what he says "OK"
For those saying it takes too long. With practice. This would only take 1 extra minute maybe 2.
That takes way to long!!!! Imagine doing this at every lawn account on your route haha
bob smith , took about 7 minutes... for a mower that's nearly 1000#s, 40" up, I doubt you have a better way...
bacano don Julio
Complex minds simple solutions, simple minds complex solutions. Get a 4x8 trailer $600 and you will be safe and never spend not even 1/10th of the time. Good luck
Lol and 🤦♂️ at the same time
So if I’m his customer do I have to pay for an hour of load and offload time just to get the mower down? 😂
Cesar Salazar , it took 7 minutes...?
Get a patent hombre ,Go to the shark tank and pitch idea.
They would all say NO
Is easy but To complicated
Way to overcomplicate a basic loading process.
Get a trailer...the ...end
Before I did all that I would just purchase a trailer.
