I’ve created a folding solution for an origami pattern using the CraneSolver from the CRANE plugin, and it works just fine by pressing the 'folding' and 'unfolding' buttons. However, I would like to control the folding with an adjustable slider to close it at a specific angle. Is there a solution you can recommend? Thank you in advance
Hi Mr. Paramaster, can you explain why I should shift the list at Tip1, Tip2 at the hinge component? Somehow it won't work if I shift it at any other numbers than -1! What's the mechanism behind it? Looking forward to the reply!
Imagine that you make a line between a point and a shifted point that you will input to the tip. This line should be intersected with a line from the foldstart and foldend. So, I used -1 in shift list for matching the fold line and the tip line in each part. I hope this simple explanation helpful. Thanks for asking..
@@mr.parametric Thanks a lot! That definitely set the rule for me for further modeling endeavors. When I set the shift to -2 even -3, it starts spinning despite having a succesfully folded form lol. Any takes on that phenomenon? 🤣
Is it possible to follow the script if i have an irregular shape already drawn on rhino? ( tracing the template i folded with paper) Thank you so much!
I have followed all the steps and still not getting the desired result. Can you please help me? The model is not steady it is rotating when i move my angle slider above or below 80 degrees.
hello! thanks so much for the script - however, i followed the steps exactly and it was able to work for segment = 4. i cant seem to get it to work for segment = 3, i get a deformed shap even when i set radians = 0. any ideas what went wrong? thanks you!
Well, actually I cannot give you a perfect answer related to this. But, maybe you should set the radian by 0 first, and reset the solver (set true to the reset of the solver using boolean toggle). Then, you set false in the reset solver before you set the radian more than zero. As far as I know, you should change the radian number slowly (don't to fast) to avoid an error of simulation process of the solver component (as it is based on simulation). I hope it's helpful
@@yj-zq7nh Hi, I think i have the same problem that you had and I cant find a solution for it, it works well for segment = 4 ,but it doesn't work for segment =3 somehow ,so I would appreciate it if you could tell how did you manage to fix it. thank you!
So sir, can you tell me what role does the componet "floor" play in the whole process?THX

Sorry, I haven't tried it yet

not sure about that as Kangaroo is based on force simulation. Irregular shape might lead to unstable model

thanks for following the tutorial. you can send me the script and I might you send mine. You can send it via email
Thank you sir, How could I overlap the Naked Edges lines and Interior Edges Lines to Length? (3:28)
hold shift

@@mr.parametric thanks for the reply! i figured it out - it had something to do with the tolerances
@@yj-zq7nh cool!

Super
Nice Video, are the files available for download?
Not available. I encourage people to learn by my video tutorial as it is easy and simple to follow :)
mas mau nanya dong, cara munculin "preview custom lineweight" di grasshoper gimana y? soalnya pas aku ketik kata kuncinya component nya ga muncul
itu pakai tambahan plugin Human
