Joanna your camera shows the colors beautifully. I love the green and brown color combination. Great job on thes. Love those little cutters. My hand cut shapes never looks as good as yours but I like cutting them by hand.

My dear Ida, that is the beauty of free cutting, noone can tell you that you are cutting it wrong or right. It really is fun.

Happy Saturday my sweet friend 🙂I love those pendants!! Those colors are gorgeous!!! I haven't done a ton of Makume Gane but it seems like I usually make my clay into more of a tall piece that isn't very wide but I noticed that yours was thinner and wider before you cut it and the effect was beautiful!! I might have to try making mine wider and thinner because I love the effect that you got. The UV resin is a game changer, huh? I absolutely love UV resin and the instant gratification that you get. LOL. I hope you have an amazing Memorial Weekend 🙂 Big hugs

You are so right about instant gratification! Ha, ha! So far I am liking it. I really need to compare it on different projects. It is perfect on my little pendants though! Try this technique! I so want to see what you come up with!

@@joannascorner4478 I definitely need to give it a try because yours turned out beautiful!!! I like to use the UV resin with my little pendant resin molds also 🙂

Very nice tutorial and pretty, pretty gems! I think the suede added a nice contrast to them... But, it's mokume Gahn-ay, not Gain. :-)

Ha,ha! Yes, my friend, you are correct! If you watch more of my videos you will notice that this is not the only word that I'm mispronouncing! Thank you so much for watching and for chiming in! Hugs

lovely bright colours - your friend is right, the UV resin really does enhance the pieces! I believe Mokume Gane is originally a Japanese name that referred to a metalworking technique. The second word is usually pronounced "Ga-Nay".

Yes, I do like UV resin. Its so easy to use. I may have to do more comparisons between UV resin and two part resin which I have used for years and years. I love resin. It always makes the pendant so pretty! Thanks for watching, my friend!
