    I have watched so many of your videos and love every single one of them. I have most of them bookmarked for making my own projects. Thank you for sharing your talents.

    I'm so glad you didn't give up Joanna! I struggle with cane as well because I'm more used to the organic flow of a non-descript pattern. You did a great job on these - and pinching them to resemble petals brought them to another level!!!!

      Thank you so much Scottie! I just don't understand how some people make these absolutely gorgeous and perfect canes. I think I already mentioned in one of the comments that it has a lot to do with talent. Meanwhile, talent or not, lets just have some fun with it! Have a great day my friend.

      Thank you so much my friend! Canes are really not my thing. I think I am just not detailed oriented for them. You really have to think ahead to make a cane and I am not that advanced! ha,ha

      They are not easy!! You have to be so precise making them and it is a challenge for me for sure. All good. I am having fun regardless of the outcome. Thank you so much Gaby for watching! Have a beautiful day my friend!

    You definitely make me smile my sweet friend 🙂 Your comments during your videos just crack me up! LOL. I think your cane and your pendants turned out beautiful!! I find canes really challenging also. Most of the time I start a cane with somewhat of an idea of what I want it to look like and the end product is always different than my original idea. LOL. I don't think I have ever seen Les Misérables but I love musicals so I might have to keep my eyes open and see if I can catch that show sometime. I hope you are having an amazing weekend!!! Big hugs.....

      My giller sister, I think I should resign from making canes. Either that or practice more! Ha, ha! All good. It is always a good time regardless of the outcome. I know that your weekend is going slightly better which is so great to hear! Hugs

    I love that you are so real. ❤ And I love that you can laugh at your (happy) mistakes.
    My first flower cane looked like someone stepped on my flower. 😂 Some petals were round, others looked square and some were pointy. I've gotten better at them but still learning.

      Oh Darla, you just made me laugh soooooo hard! Thank you so much for that! Yeap, canes are not my forte for sure! Ha,ha! I just can't get over the beautiful canes that people make. I guess that's when talent comes into play! Have a beautiful day my friend! Hugs

    Joanna, I think they turned out so pretty. I really liked your cane 😍
    One tip for canes - when you reduced the 1st part (the teardrop) it's easier to reduce as a round cane, then shape it into the teardrop once you get it to the size you want 😉

    • @joannascorner4478
      @joannascorner4478  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you sooooo much Melly! And that is how I learn - by getting advise from amazing artists! I will try it next time for sure if I dare to try it again! Huge hugs!

    It looks nice. When you reduce the single pedal get it MUCH SMALLER then it will be more manageable

    • @joannascorner4478
      @joannascorner4478  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! This was pretty much out of control! ha,ha!

  • @donnadecicco
    @donnadecicco ปีที่แล้ว

    I would like to change what i said, trying to help you, first make a registration line showing where you want the front of the petal then make the petal round, makes it easier to reduce, once it is reduced, first decide how many petals you want, measure the round petal, cut the pieces, cover in black if you choose, now form each piece like a teardrop and put together.

    • @joannascorner4478
      @joannascorner4478  ปีที่แล้ว

      Donna, thank you sooooooo much! I know I will have to tackle is again but I'm exhausted after this project. Canes are a different level of clay making! Such struggle but if you don't struggle you will not master it. Thank you for your advice. I so appreciate it. Next time I would definitely make it way smaller to begin with. The reducing part was a lot for me! Hugs
