    Samira is a phenomenal actress and it is a joy to watch her as these strong characters. She is also absolutely stunning! Her eyes alone can portray whatever character she plays.

    She's incredible. The show is incredible. I am addicted. Loved her on OITNB. But forgot she was Pousey since she's been on Handmaidens tale.

    “Ruby, my name is Ruby”..
    such a strong woman for fighting back. I haven’t cried so much for a tv show as what I cry in nearly every episode.. saying stuff in my head when Offred is the presence of Aunt Lydia.. #bestshow

    This show is absolutely incredible! The actors and actresses are phenomenal. Looking forward to many more seasons to come. I do hope June gets out with her daughter and unborn child at the end of the series. The newest episode from this week is insanely great

    Handmaid's tale is amazing, but for anyone who has not yet seen it, don't do what I did and try to binge it. It is the tale of people, particularly women, living in an oppressive misogynistic fundamentalist regime, and the production does an amazing job of making you feel the oppression and the hoplessness and the stress and fear these characters go through. It really gets intense - too intense to do all at once. Do it a couple episodes at a time over a long period and thank me later.

      MrsRCharlton And even then... I put two and a half weeks between the episode when June got caught just before she got to Canada. Too much.

    I love Moira's character. This was my first time ever seeing this actress Samira Wiley -- I don't get out much. But, having discovered her in The Handmaid's Tale, I think she's so talented! She's also very beautiful.
    She's one of my very favorite character's in the whole show and I hope that she stay's in it for the duration. The show just wouldn't be the same without her!
    I love you Moira !! You're killin' it girl !!

    When June came so close to making it to Canada ... and then her plane was shot down shortly after takeoff .. it was soul crushing.
    Brilliant show - and a warning of what to expect when religious nut job Mike Pence becomes President soon.
    [indeed - I call this show "Mike Pence's 'The Handmaid's Tale'"]

    Yes let's promote her perfomance by using a clip where the male character has all the dialog.

    • @ianrlack
      @ianrlack 6 ปีที่แล้ว +44

      Cynco LA Right, but her character has all the screen time. She’s perfected the art of reaction acting. That clip showcased that.

      Ian Lack wow. So she is to stand there silently and look pretty? Women should be seen and not heard, right? Wow.

    • @ianrlack
      @ianrlack 6 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      No, I think the "Handmaid's Tale" is brilliant at showcasing women, even when subjugated, and their struggles in an oppressive regime. Not saying she should just sit idle by, but I think that clip was really about Wiley's character. Also, most of the time, it's actually Hulu that supplies the clips to network news shows like CBS.

      Dialogue is not the only way of showcasing a person’s acting ability. How someone reacts, facial expressions and body language are just as important. To be honest, I thought that scene was probably one the best scenes out of all the scenes, so far this season. The sex scene was probably a better showcase of her acting ability but not really appropriate for a morning show. Personally, I thought that scene was a nice reflection on the struggles Moira has been through.
      Anyways to finish up, I don’t think it does anything for anyone to always paint women as victims or to instantly jump to the conclusion that someone is a misogynist/sexist as your second comment seemed to imply. Sure, women have it harder in some respects but men have it harder in other ways, perhaps if we could work together and recognise the difficulties in each other lives, we would have a happier and more peaceful world.

      That was a terrific scene of her. Clearly, she was the focus of the scene even if the man had all the dialogue. Acting is also about reacting.

    She is stunning. I wonder her personal views on the way gays are treated on the show as she is a gay woman. Truly shows you how radical religious leaders can make life miserable for others. Those people are sick.

    Kinda funny how her character is always shown in the handmaids uniform, when she never really was a handmaid..i mean don't get me wrong, her fate was hoorid, but she is not a represantative to the handmaid expirience...

    OITNB must have the same writer's has the Handmaid's Tale because both shows lead actor's is a selfish, privilege, blonde that just care about herself and what she wants.

    • @MercurialRed9
      @MercurialRed9 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well OITNB is based loosely on the real life exploits of Piper Kerman (Chapman in the show).
