Such a healing kdrama. This is the second kdrama of 2023 after My Dearest that I love so much. The acting, the chemistry, the music, the plot, the cinematography, the lessons.. everything is just so perfect. Just like how I felt in love with Nam Goong Min in My Dearest, I legit almost felt in love with Ji Chang Wook in this kdrama whenever he looks at Samdal. I still can get over it. I’m sad that it’s not as popular overseas like other kdramas since it’s not as intense or dramatic but I’m glad that it has one of the highest ratings in SK. 100% will rewatch it ❤
It was popular overseas too. It was always in top 10 global Netflix in more than 40 countries. I think it peaked at 5 or 6 on global Netflix chart. And that is with no promotion whatsoever there was no couple photoshoot, interviews or playing silly games, nothing. And it could have done so much better in ratings, although it did well being the 8th highest rating drama in JTBC history only 1.2% behind King La land an overly hyped drama. It could also have gotten higher in Global chart if Netflix promoted or hyped it. Anyway it was popular overseas despite everything.

I am the only one crying and smiling at the same time watching this. This video shows everything about Youngdal in brief. A good compliation for looking back all the things. And I happy the they used the songs used in drama. But the guy Cho-young pil sets the bar so high for other male lead in k- drama like he is such a unique kind of person like if every good quality exist it's in him and Ji Chang wook played it so well. Sometimes watching him felt how can he be so good nature person especially for Samdal, his love for her is exceptional. And he is funny too. There are many things, people who have watched this drama would understand me. In the end good drama to watch if u haven't watched it yet.

First she ask him to break up because his father ask her & she goes Seoul But after his mother death anniversary his father ask him to break up also & same day he knows about SamDal mom heart problem so he thought he should stay in samdalri because Samdal have to go abroad for study so he will take of Samdal mom ak a he also see her as his 2nd Mom. But when Samdal can't take the break up she gives back samdalri after some day's after breakup but thya time Yong-pil break up with her because he want to stay in Jeju for his 2nd mom so Samdal can easily go abroad and study. That's why he said ,he thought if he will be only sad then everybody will be happy. Sorry for my bad English 😅

His father disapproves of their relationship because he lost his wife. He blamed Samdal's mother for killing her but not! His wife died from drowning. Father still misses his wife so much for many years and resent Sandal and her family. He thought that they don't miss or mourn his wife but realized most people especially Samdal's family miss her as well.
I get annoyed so many times by the character of the female lead in this drama.....she looked so self obsessed to me....she just always narrates her own struggles all the time throughout the drama...never tried to understand what others are thinking or they mean.....she is the only one who became that succesfull so she always belittled her friends subconsciously. She doubted them so many times and then just said sorry.....she is a big big red flag....cho yong pil deserved someone so much better than her....he is a whole green forest...but she is a big red flag in my opinion
I feel like she was also a good character as cho yong pil as she left him not because of her own will but because of his father. Also in the whole drama I was so worried that how will cho yong pil father will change as he was so weird and was just understanding what he wanted to understand,was just seeing what he wanted to see,and I had already thought that how could this person will change,I became hopeless,but I was really interested to know how he will change if he will,and he did change and give them his approval but it was all because of sam dal,she gave him the answer which only he would understand,she told him that she will love cho yong pil till the day she will die,and cho yong pil father was shocked and happy because he was also a lover,and he also was loving his wife everyday even after she died and he will love her till the day he will die,he understood it so quickly just became cho sam dal really loved cho yong pil and her words then made it easy for them, ofcourse cho yong pil was also a good son as he never left his father's side ever but the answer cho sam dal had given was situation changing Also this drama was also about how she will find peace in her hometown even from childhood she used to say that she wants to leave Samdalri,I found her journey not self obsessed or only self related,I found that it was as she was finding her real self and cho yong pil was always ready to help her glow and grow in every situation in everything she wanted to do,he was so proud of her even when she was in Seoul and then in Samdalri,when we love someone we don't have conditions we just love them as they are,so they both loved each other as they were,I feel like cho yong pil was really mature and so in love that he was always giving but it doesn't mean that cho sam dal didn't love him (It's all my opinion☺️, everyone has their own view, I just wanted to share this)
