  • We sailed aboard Foggy, our Lagoon 570, from Marmaris harbor to visit the Gocek area of Turkey on September 19th, 2019. This area is called the Lycian Coast after the incredible people who lived here in ancient times. Later on this area became known as the Pirate Coast because it is so rugged that Turkish Pirates could inhabit the area without worry about attacks from land. We pulled into the first little cove on the Gocek peninsula to spend the night. What a treat! The area was beautiful with crystal clear water, nice beaches and lots of land to explore. We went snorkeling and saw quite a few fish including two large Lion Fish and a large sea turtle! Our overnight stay turned into three nights at this anchorage. We even sailed on to take a peek at Gocek and Fethiye and then returned to this cove for the night. What a way to spend the weekend!
