Where one door closes is where many more will open!
You took on all the liability and risk to build that business, and it’s human nature to feel so badly about pulling the plug and letting folks go, and most likely the successes you experienced are precisely because you are a genuine, thoughtful and caring person! 13,000 of those is a lot!!
Maybe even approaching market saturation, at least at your price points.
Keep the faith brother Brock and great things follow!!

That is tough brother. And I can't tell you how much I appreciate your honesty in sharing both your triumphs and setbacks. It is one of the reasons I enjoy starting my day with a cup of coffee and checking in with Rockhill Farm! As someone who suffered a life altering career ending disability injury I would share this with you - life is short. Be responsible about it, but do what you love and what gets you going first thing in the morning. The pitching mound business chapter of your life has run it's course and that is OK. To me, you sound like you look at everything from multiple angles before you make a decision so I'm confident you did not make a rash or uninformed decision. But now that you have made it - ONWARD! Dig in and don't look back. Thanks for sharing 🤠

I can totally relate, I closed my business in 2009. It hurt, no it absolutely sucked! With that said, they say way leads on to way. I wouldn't be where I am at now if wasn't for tough stepping stones along the way. Keep your head up and stay focused, you'll be successful on your next journey.

Once again, you're displaying a major reason I follow your channel. You are real. You are devoted to what you do. You take personal responsibility for your actions. Your channel is the first one I check daily. I've even been known to stop watching another channel if a notificaion about yours pops up. (Like today). You gotta be happy with your life choices and decisions. Thanks for sharing and I probably speak for many when I say I look forward to many years of great content from you.

As a previous small business I know exactly what you are going through , I had to close my business after 11 years because of several things that were out of my control. My lease was up on the building I rented and the owner decided to sell the building for a huge amount that would have it impossible to make a profit if I bought it. And lot of my local distributors closed up, so I went out on my terms. Trying is not failing it’s learning. Don’t beat yourself up being self employed is tough especially in todays world. For every dollar I made there was always a hand ready to take it. I made money paid off my house and put some money in the bank, sometimes it’s nice to work a regular job with insurance and then find a side hustle for extra money, love your channel and you keep things real!

Hey man, I know it’s tough but the economy has been run into the ground for 3 years. Unfortunately things have to give and a lot of times that’s the small businesses. You did your best and helped thousands of baseball teams. That’s something to be proud of. Who knows what the future holds. Plus hopefully you’ll get the Christmas tree income in a few years. Keep it up buddy, we all know you’ve got this. Your an inspiration to those like my self who dream of starting a small farm and living the life you are.

I've watched a few of your videos in passing and enjoyed the content. However, I found this one to be one of the standouts of any TH-cam videos I've watched. I think you are inspirational and realistic. As many others have mentioned, I, too, ran a business for a time. It was some of the most enjoyable work I have done but also the most stressful. The change in your demeanor when you went from describing what you did before now to what you plan to do was uplifting. Your heart to heart with your audience most certainly will provide some needed inspiration and reassurance for those who have, have had, or will have to make difficult choices in earning a living. Thank you for sharing.

Not sure if its been said to you, But if the product is making you alot of money you need to make sure you have the product secure, Patented, and show the business being profitable and then put the company up for sale....or sell the patent to someone and set a contract to get some royalties for some time...or allow your employees to run the business.

I do not call this a failure, but a Practice RUN of what is to come. Failure is NOT ADAPTING, Reassessing and re adjusting your goals. If you do not adjust your course, then you grow resentful and inefficient. This is simply an educated "adjustment" of where will you be the most efficient. As your channel grows and great content is produced, you may be able to employ additional personnel and grow your business, but it HAS TO BE FUN ALL THE WAY. Welcome to a new chapter and you will continue to thrive. Cheers

Dude, I'm a new and very small channel. I ALWAYS keep it real and yes, it really is a different mindset and a blessed feeling. It's better to be real and grateful with less subs than to be fake with a ton of them. People reach out to me both publicly and privately asking me for advice on my particular content and I work very, very hard to keep it real with them and up with the current trends and shifts to do so. My biggest fear is failing them. I'm not even monetized yet, but I take this very seriously, so I can understand how you feel. You Sir, have earned a new sub, supporter and remember this, you provided jobs for people and their families for as long as you felt that you could, and THAT is a wonderful thing Man. You just came up in my feed. I'm sorry for your struggles. Somehow, if you're anything like me, it will be a huge struggle filled with fear and doubt, but where you land will be better and end up being an experience that can massively benefit you as well as others. Keep going. 👊

It's going to be all good. I can tell you have a big heart from all of your vids that I've watched over the past year and a half, and I can tell what hurts the most for you is the committment for your employees. I get it and understand it, but in time everything will work out for the best.

Brock your a good person. You're always honest with your audience and keeping transparency on everything you do no matter what. I kinda understand and at the some time I don't. I've never stuck my neck out and created my own business. So my hat is off to you. I hope all of your employees will be able to land on their feet also. It's hard times for a lot folks. I have a decent job and sometimes I struggle as well. I understand the part about failing. I feel like that all time because I want better for my family. I sincerely hope all goes well for you and your family and your employees and everyone has a merry Christmas.

Great video...every small business person has setbacks, and you're very brave and confident to talk about them publicly. It took me 3 failed businesses before growing a really successful business...good luck and really enjoy your TH-cam channel!

I just found your channel and I just wanted to say, most people don’t have the ambition or motivation to start their own business. You’re a great guy and I really enjoy your channel. Keep your head up and don’t be hard on yourself.

Your videos have been part of my Sunday morning routine. Your decision to move forward in life and let something be part of the past is what living is all about. Appreciate you giving us a glimpse. Do you and know one else.

Brock, you’re no failure, let’s clear that up for the record. It was quite clear to a regular viewer how difficult this video was to make. It’s your passion for what you do, your honesty, and how you freely share the ups and downs that makes a connection with your viewers and bonds us like minded individuals together. You are a man’s man with a heart and soul, we all struggle in the journey of life, but you share with us the good and the bad. That my friend is why you have so many followers, you’re different in a good way from a lot of other content providers. I have no doubt that you will prevail, you dig down and make things happen because that’s what you know you have to do. That doesn’t take the sting out of what you’re going through, but it does fuel the fire to to get you in a better place. You didn’t fail, the endeavor you first set out on has ran its course and now you’re moving on to greener pastures. Having this type of perspective (good times and hard times) is needed to keep you motivated and moving in the right direction. I’m not saying anything that you don’t already know, I’m reminding you of theses things to help you see through the fog. I fully believe that good things happen to good people and you are better than just good. Keep it real, vent if you need to, but most of all keep the passion. The viewers on here understand and will be with you on your next adventure. Thanks for sharing a very personal decision and we all appreciate how willing you are to tell it like it is. You have nothing but the utmost respect from me.
