Trigger is so calm.....never got spooked by all the action....from Henson or what was going on with all the other riders/horses! Hard to find a horse that can be easy to maneuver when so green. He did great!

Henson was talking about that some horses doesn't like to work with the roping. My reflection is that I really don't like the smell of dehorning and branding 🤢 and horses are much more sensitive with smells so they need to get used to that horrible smell of burning fur and horns as well.

Treasure State Quarterhorses is a few hours drive from here - they don't raise a lot of horses, just good ones.

He starts in a halter then moves to a D ring snaffle…. If they come and they’re hard mouthed (from the owners trying to mess with them) he will use a harsher bit until they get the memo and then he’ll move back to a snaffle.

I have a full stock pile of caps - except the unstructured- and wasn’t planning on getting more until my supply is low… I’ll look into it. If getting a small order of those is cost effective I’ll do it- I usually do one big order (cheaper that way)
I have found that peroxide get blood out of your clothes great just poor on a rag dab it on the wash them
