Modern Disney done right! Disney, this is proof you can do amazing theming and high-end quality.
That place is beautiful! Wish I could afford it. Love the hottub/spa. I still say hottub too. I wish they would put some of this into the cabins at Fort Wilderness instead of what they are doing. And thanks for the blind entertainment. LOL.
I love these cabins so much! I definitely think more than the bungalows just because I love how tucked away they are... And I'll take a double sided fireplace any day!
I don't usually comment on the hotel walk-throughs, but this is a beautiful room.
I agree! I would be on the porch as much as possible and the hot tub instead of a plunge pool makes it perfect!
The woodgrain framed thing is the coast of Oregon, Washington and British Columbia.
Modern but still have the wilderness touches. Very well done. Just wish I could afford it.
Bucket list for sure! Thank you so much for sharing, I love these cabins.
“pause for editing” cracked me up… it happens! And I freaking LOVE that porch! 😍
OH BOY! A what does this button do video, I love it! 👏👏👏👏👏
7:46 Bottom to top: Northwest Oregon, Western Washington State with Puget Sound and Vancouver , BC Canada in the top left.
Thank you as always, Tom! 😉 The newly updated DVC Fort Wilderness Cabins, should take its notes from Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and these cabins, for a more rustic look and feel. 🏕️ 🪵 🐿️ 🌲 🏡 I, too, am disappointed with the new Fort Wilderness Cabins design. 🤔 However, if they are going for the Barbie’s Dream House Fort Wilderness design edition, then they have nailed it!😜
Washington State resident here-the artwork is definitely the western half of my state, featuringPuget Sound (or the Salish Sea), the Olympic peninsula and Vancouver Island.
A beautiful cabin that feels a lot like it was shipped over from Seattle/Vancouver BC areas. Too bad the folks designing the Fort Wilderness cabins didn't talk to whoever designed these, or even take a look at what these to see what a modern cabin looks like.
definitely a bucket-list stay!
I was a 70s Disney kid. The Disney I remember was static. It never changed anything. Disney seemed to stand in one place for two decades after Walt died until Roy E Disney got Eisner in to save the company and usher in the nice revolution in the nineties that you remember 🤣
That cabin is actually my dream home! (I appear to be a lifelong apartment renter)
We stayed in Cabin 8008 in 2022. I'm still trying to figure out how I can just move into these on a permanent basis! Disney absolutely nailed these cabins in every way!
Always been on my bucket list. Maybe someday I can get five (or more) people to go in with me and afford a couple of nights there.
Agree With WL comments. Glad others like Riviera, they go there and we keep one of the best resorts to us. Go have an ‘old fashion’ in TL and smile. Keep the rants going 👏🏼
Beautiful cabin in an extremely beautiful resort. My favorite resort on property. We love "camping".
Wow, these cabins look amazing. We have stayed at AKL and Saratoga using rented points and it was a bargain. A 4 night stay in one of these in March is close to $10,000. That is outrageous.
Wilderness Lodge is my favorite resort, my mom stayed at Riviera recently and hated it
My mother would love this
Wood art at 7:46 is the PNW. Top of Oregon, West Washington/Puget Sound, and a little Victorya/Vancouver. I guess this is supposed to be Pacific North West themed?
Our tour of a cabin a couple of years ago gave us a vibe of home, aka PNW modern-ish.
@@bluenorthnw I have been in the PNW for 15 years now (Seattle area). I would say the area is more known for logging vs mining. Seattle was a stopover for Alaska mining, but didnt really host a lot of mining itself. The wood art also leads me to believe the theme is logging, not mining.
@myblujl7503 I'd agree from our SnoCo perspective. It certainly had that vibe, but we thought the entry lights were a bit different or just a bit off. I thought maybe it was a play on the Seven Dwarfs mining.
Where else can you see the backside of FIRE! Thank you for sharing your tour with us.
Wow. That is a really fantastic cabin! How can the same company create that- and then give us the rooms at the Contemporary??
It just isn't a review until Tom evaluates the bathroom art. :-) He's not alone, some of us really do look for ( and care about ) how the bathroom looks. Overall this room doesn't look like it's for a die-hard Disney fan. This is for rich people that know very little about Disney, but they learned one or two pieces of trivia, now consider themselves an expert, and want a hotel to match the upscale pablum they're used to seeing on their numerous globe-trotting travels. WE are not the customer here, the upper 0.01% are.
Tom, I'm assuming the bugs were not as much of a problem compared to the Poly because of the screened back porch?
Yeah not so much
It's Tom's fault that I now am obsessed with toilet art.
I thougbthe music back in 2018 was really good. The other question is how good are the speakers in the mirror tv. I have had projector remotes where the on and off buttons are seperate but not the TV.
Come on Tom, the music is great. It reminds me of vacation. That and the Mickey Mouse shorts at the resorts. (Yes, I know they are on Disney+, we watch them at home too) ❤
I said it was, not the garbled version currently playing…
The scale is for weighing your luggage if you are ✈ after your stay at the resort.
It’s in the bathroom and not the closet
It is still meant for the luggage. But maybe some weight conscious individuals might want to make sure they don't over do it, even while on vacation. @@WDWNT
It’s kind of a shame these large guest capacity cabins are limited to DVC guests only.
You can book these without being DVC…
@@WDWNT that's good to know. Thanks.
Anyone can book these. You can go through the dvc rental process.
Wow! No notes.
Let’s go to whispering canyon and weigh ourselves
That one foggy window in the front room appears to have a bad seal between both panes of glass letting in humidity.
An okay room for a mid-range chain hotel.
Wut
@@WDWNT it's just so generic, but an upscale generic. Like, what's the theme: a Westin near the Calgary International Airport?
I want the plans and the interior decorators name. This cabin would be perfect with a lake view or ski area view, think Nevada or Colorado.
Fabulous!!
I stayed at the Lodge for 10 nights during my honeymoon in 1995. We had park hopper meal plans, it cost 2000.00 dollars. Its my favorite resort. we returned in 2015 with our son. We stayed five nights park hopper and meal plans, it cost 5000.00 dollars.
Now it's over $2000/night for the cabins 😬
Disney is disgusting now@@tarazieminek1947
How long does it take to get to Magic Kingdom from there? I assume you walk to the boat and take the boat?
Is it a long walk to the boat? Do the boats come frequently? Do they drop your right off at Magic Kingdom, or do you have to take a second boat or monorail?
@13:11 - Bless You.
Our home resort 😊
Idk if I missed it if you said anything but I was at Muppet Vision 3-D last week and the seats have been replaced.
13:10 bless you.
What's the average points to stay?
Riviera beat Wilderness Lodge? Not in a million years.
Did I miss how much it cost to stay here?
No you didn't. It's because pricing varies depending on the time of year and if getting it with points or rented through a dvc rental. Just an example, through a dvc rental website, staying in March for 4 nights, it's about $10,000 for the full amount.
The peak of "glamping".
1st and am sad it’s going to go to a end soon
This isn’t a Fort Wilderness cabin
Hey Disney, genius idea to put an electoral socket on the wall right at the head of the pullout bed for young children and toddlers to play with while laying down. 4:45 Law suit coming soon, just a matter of time.
