How i see it is that phonk is about style, cold and rebellious. While Eurobeat is high pumping andrenaline and taking the lead in the most ridiculous fucking way. I like both for what they are.
The problem is that when you first listen to phonk you like it, but over time you get tired of it. When you listen to Eurobeat it seems to you that over time it seems better and better
In my professional opinion, Eurobeat is for corners in the mountains, drifting, and rally racing, mostly during the day, whereas Phonk is for hauling ass on the freeway, or just whipping donuts in a parking lot, mostly during the night. That said, only SOME of the best songs we're used for both sides in this video. Limiting my own suggestions to FOUR per side, that I would've added to this particular selection, Phonk could've used Let's Ride by SXMPRA, Murder Plot by Kordhell, Land of Fire (also) by Kordhell, and Ridin' Slick by DAEGHO. For Eurobeat, there could've been Spitfire by GO2, Adrenaline by Ace, Streets of Fire by Dave McLoud, and Manifold Love by Hotblade. As a big fan of both genres, I could've easily put my own personal Top 10 here, but I wanted to try and be modest, and limit my choices to just 4 per genre, that I would have added to this particular "this vs that" playlist. Matter of fact, I'm going to go make a "best of" playlist for both genres on TH-cam Music RIGHT NOW.

How i see it is that phonk is about style, cold and rebellious. While Eurobeat is high pumping andrenaline and taking the lead in the most ridiculous fucking way. I like both for what they are.

The problem is that when you first listen to phonk you like it, but over time you get tired of it. When you listen to Eurobeat it seems to you that over time it seems better and better
It's like comparing MegaMan x soundtrack to dark souls soundtrack
In my professional opinion, Eurobeat is for corners in the mountains, drifting, and rally racing, mostly during the day, whereas Phonk is for hauling ass on the freeway, or just whipping donuts in a parking lot, mostly during the night.
That said, only SOME of the best songs we're used for both sides in this video.
Limiting my own suggestions to FOUR per side, that I would've added to this particular selection, Phonk could've used Let's Ride by SXMPRA, Murder Plot by Kordhell, Land of Fire (also) by Kordhell, and Ridin' Slick by DAEGHO.
For Eurobeat, there could've been Spitfire by GO2, Adrenaline by Ace, Streets of Fire by Dave McLoud, and Manifold Love by Hotblade.
As a big fan of both genres, I could've easily put my own personal Top 10 here, but I wanted to try and be modest, and limit my choices to just 4 per genre, that I would have added to this particular "this vs that" playlist.
Matter of fact, I'm going to go make a "best of" playlist for both genres on TH-cam Music RIGHT NOW.

I see what you’re saying, Eurobeat is definitely superior for specifically hype moments, but I kinda feel like phonk is applicable to a wider variety of moods because its often a bit more chill and fluid, so in my opinion it’s a bit more adaptable. They’re both great. Funny you mention cardio tho because phonk is like the national anthem for a lot of young guys trying to get ripped nowadays lol. You go on any popular phonk song and a majority of the time you’ll see many, many comments of dudes saying ‘perfect gym music’ or something haha

However, Eurobeat is better for street racing and drifting on small mountain or forest roads.
Eutobeat gives me of a quick and fast feel, phonk feels like heavy machinery, one is a speedrunning count down, and the other is you walking in with a power armor
Don't forget that Eurobeat has vocalist performance, which consider to be alots of musical work, not just instrumental alone, just to let you know. But phonk, hmm, maybe...each to their own. Phonk is like 90s hyper techno but slower.

Edit: Phonk also has applications outside of driving as well, example being all of the military edits I see with phonk in the background.
