Nicholas Blair, Willie Loomis, Ben Stokes, Angelique, Cassandra, Barnabas and Julia Hoffman......Never again on Television will so much scenery every be chewed and swallowed whole.....This cadre of characters are the best!
Mr. Astredo passed away just before the 50th Anniversary Celebration of Dark Shadows I will always wonder if he would have made an exception and would have attended had he lived. He stands out as one of the greatest and strongest characters from that show. R I P Mr. Humbert Astredo may your soul be comforted by the knowledge that you are being remembered and will always be missed.
@RPenta You are so right..however I always thought Jerry Lacy was a fine actor that really didnt go over the top...which in DS case was the call of the day. And Alexandre Moltke was also fine yet understated...but watch out if Grayson Hall or Lara Parker were in the room! Those two acted their behinds off!
@scisan60 Thank you; as I have gotten to watch episodes that predate the Barnabas-Angelique era meaning the Phoenix storyline, I have reallly come to enjoy Diana Millay whose contribution to DS has been largely forgotten-she and not Barnabas was the original evil supernatural creature in the show--but I did not like how she was used in the reprisal (or should I say prequel?) of her character in the 1897 storyline--but by then, Barnabas and Angelique was basically running the show.
@scisan60 You left out the only character who kicked Blair's ass in the Adam-Even storyline, the ghost of Rev. Trask played briliantly by Jerry Lacy. You also forgot the most important female character in DS--Victoria Winters-and the most original supernatural creature, Laura Collins, the Phoenix and the greatest villein of all, Count Petofi.
This is really awsomely great!!!
***** STARS for you my dear friend Leanne,

@fanforeverds1: Thank you! Nicholas was my favorite villain too, and one of my very favorite characters overall. Glad you enjoyed it!
Nicholas Blair certainly takes the top prize for the "cool factor" in my book!
The man was evil, but he looked good doing it! Great dresser!

Nicholas fell for Maggie which eventually let to his downfall
What is the music on this?
@fanforeverds1
Was he even greater than the great Count Petofi himself?
