Is it the worst song Germany have sent? No. Is it the best? No! But the guy has a good Lewis Capaldi voice which could narrowly save Germany from the bottom.

well, last year it was polarizing. result: last place 🙆🏾‍♀️ if sweden or italy would send isaak, they would result top 10 - like every year.

I am also a Ryk supporter, but Ryk's song had a certain melancholy about it, just like a Portuguese Fado has. With Duncan Laurence that worked in 2019, but that was before the pandemic, before the war in Ukraine. Maybe 2024 is just the wrong time and people need more positivity.
I could imagine that's why the Germans go for something more uptempo, goodfeel song that sounds familiar.

It’s a quite enjoyable entry, with amazing vocals, but it’s definitely not going to bring them higher than like 19th place, and that is if they’re lucky.
So… excited to see the broadcaster switch Germany will probably do next year😅

isaak is a street musician going the extra mile to the fishy esc stage. esc dosnt brought up successfull songs since decades. so for us it´s a compliment to get 0 points. our songs been since decades one of the best contents in the final.

The song could also do very well in the US.
On the German iTunes, Spotify and TH-cam charts is the song very successful:
      iTunes: Number 1
      TH-cam: Number 2
      Spotify: Top 50
How successful the song in other countries is will become clear after the ESC.

This entry reminds me of James Newman's 'Embers' from the UK...good singer, radio-friendly song but low-stage presence/impact. This is average and ESC is about exceptional. Expect a potential last place. BTW if Germany gets last this year it will match Norway's 10 last places and be three in a row for Germany...a crowning achievement, now that's 'not your average'!

our problem is that countrys like luxemburg, malta, san marino, sveden, britain, france, uk - all give 12 points. thats undemocratic and overaged. 1 point per million of poulation might be fair. so malta ends up with no point to give. germany allways sends one of the strongest contents every year and gets downrated of political reasons. our song presents the taste of the german people to the world. by the quality of the most fishy songs in the esc(sveden) it might be an honor not to reach the top 10 in this show. so whatever will be will be.

That's once again the problem: a decent song but it will not mobilize people to vote for it. It will get - again - a lot of televote placings between 12th and 20th probably which still results in 0 points. Will it look much better when you consider juries? I don't think so. This is not a jury hit. It's a middle of the road song which is basically the worst thing you can do in Eurovision. Germany just refuses to learn. But let's face it: the voting system was a disaster anyway. We can only hope that we will get - at least - last year's system back.

I totally agree with you, good singer, decent song, but average. Ryk would have been a much better choice, even Galant (could have been more excessive, but good approach). Germany should just get rid of the International jury in the national final. People in Germany are diverse enough. And: Germany, dare! Get out of your mediocrity (I say that as a German). And enentually PUT ON A SHOW! You can do it, we have such great singers. And where are the famous names in the pre-selection? I guess, famous German singers and bands are too afraid of being slaughtered in the ESC. But who gives a....Let's party and be crazy.
