I hope this doesn't burn you out, but will you be doing more monster analysis? It helps knowing which talents work on certain monsters so it doesn't feel like you're raising them wrong.
It’s wild how ranks are basically irrelevant in terms of how good a monster is in this game. Yes you can get some higher growths during the story, but postgame it is truly not a relevant factor at all. I was going to try to make Corvus as my support monster, but this will do very nicely until then lol. Would love to see serpent of the scales next, sounds like a cool combo with the Bodkin :)
Yeah, like I was doing research into some monsters I want for my final party and discovered that Orochi is a Dragon that has both Frizzmeister and Ultra Crafter Fizzer at S size and 300+ more WIS than its “upgrade”, the King Hydra. Blindly ranking up is actually not the best thing to do and I am all for it.
The trait that carried me through upper echelon was jester slime’s ability major downer, which is the debuff equivalent of bigger upper. A buff that could potentially be useful for bigger upper is accelerate (aoe speed boost for the team) which can be found in zap virtuoso, since that is the closet thing to tailwind in Pokémon which I see a lot in ranked there.
I personally use General Gernick he’s a A-rank boss type takes a bit to synchronize but worth it and he’s part of a bigger grandfather synchronized that’s also really good
Love these guides! It would be nice to see some recommended Abilities for the mons though. Your recommended defender here, but what's another tree that has group +atck or +wis for example.
I always recommend one Talent that is core to it - but it also depends on your party composition which is why I don't like to recommend fix builds!

Fought it in a team yesterday, destroyed it Sadly you need anti Confusion/Sleep on everything I sometime use giant rabbit, and it's so stupid, if you're not prepared and you have bad luck you just lost turn 1 But I'm still glad low ranks monsters can be that strong, a lot of the popular monsters are pretty easy to get (except a lot of time to get them to their maximum potential you need S/X rank monsters specific traits or rare egg traits)
@@BooBudadi It's nothing crazy specific, I used giant Zoma and a giant [Idk its name in english purple rabbit] Pretty sure you could do the same with another fast moster with a high chance of stunning them But for real giant rabbit is crazy stupid, it's why if you play online you have to either dedicate one of your trait to counter it or you have to make a fast Gem Slime to take every hit so your team don't fall asleep/Get confused/Stunned I used that like 2-3 times to see, but now I only use that combo for the 30 battle things because I usually lose only 1 or 2 battles with it
Of course - every team and monster can be destroyed. This game is a rock - paper - scissors system to a degree, it all depends on the overall team composition, not singular monsters. Well done.

@@HDHaZmY I mean, yeah, but idk it's a pretty cheap strategy that you have to have in mind when building your team, and idk I don't think it's that healthy for the online pvp Be sure that if Pokemon had a similar thing, a move that costs nothing and had a good chance of putting a status on both enemies in double fights, everyone would dislike it Outside of that the online is pretty fun, just some gimmicky stuff that you can't really ignore
Honestly there's I think some better monsters since what is the most meta is a insta kill group, mostly these have two monsters as attackers, 1 healer and 1 debuffing Else it's just 1 buff 1 debuff 1 attack and 1 healer which all can steamroll these teams. Advice from a long competitive ranked player who was at least in the top 500 players.
In using Esquire or equine whatever the dark horse's name is. It has pretty good traits that doubles the length or str of a debuff I forget which. And I have enfeeble and hex communicator on it with its original talent dark horse. Seems to be pretty good for me
Hey what monsters would you recommend for scouting? I nearing the endgame yet I'm having trouble scouting even with using meat and lowering health and defense
Hazmy, have you checked the Bodkin Archer's entry in the Monsterpedia? You can view a second page on the Overview section of any given monster's entry, and it has "Suggested Combinations" as well as "Habitat" entries. There are entries that claim "This monster has no natural habitat", so I'd assume that means they're synthesis-only... unless they possibly show up in the dungeon DLC somewhere.
@@HDHaZmY I'll tab over to it every once in awhile and just view each new monster entry to get rid of the red dot that shows there's new entries. I totally overlooked the fact that a monster's Overview tab had a second page until most of the way through the Lower Echelons, so I have zero criticism for anybody!
@@KevinClaeys-f6y On the Overview tab of a monster's entry in the Monsterpedia, you can use ZL/ZR to swap to the second page. It's easily missable, the interface could have used another pass to make stuff like that way more obvious... the ZL/ZR control instruction is the same size as the L/R one (kind of small,) the onscreen button images are still the same color as the background (just like all the other button images,) and for some reason, the Overview tab _only_ seems to have a second page *in the Monsterpedia,* never outside of it. So unless you're paying close attention to a spot you've likely never had a reason to pay attention to any other time you've looked at a monster's Overview tab, I don't blame you for missing it.
While I appreciate the monster and stunlock strategy, it is the single most used thing online now, and quite toxic to face nonstop Instead of covering the meta as it is, can you please make some refreshing content of what you use online, monsters you find to be working, instead of just the handful that are already heavily featured on competitive websites?

This was a nice video Hazmy! The breakdown of the the traits and synergies with talents was done really well.

Would absolutely love a serpent of the scales + talent tree/pvp meta guides
This guy seems awesome. I’m new at the game so I appreciate this type of video.
Loving the channel and all your vids so far
I personally use General Gernick he’s a A-rank boss type takes a bit to synchronize but worth it and he’s part of a bigger grandfather synchronized that’s also really good
How do you synchronize him?
3:50 Well NOW I want the Serpent of the Scales Synth guide.
hey nice guide!
just letting you know that i'm excited to see more utility monsters :)
Looks like I'll be starting with a Cruelcumber then!
I haven't even gotten the game yet, and knowing that even low ranks can tussle with the big boys makes the desire to get this game even stronger!
With the Stun-heavy meta I'm hearing about, Tit-for-Tat seems pretty good
Love your vids mate never stop y our amazing

Fantastic guide as always-- just fused this monster for myself!!
Would you possibly make a guide for a good mid game healer? (Level 40s-ish)
One thing I miss on your videos is recommended talents. In this case more than others that are more clear like "frost mage->frost magic talent tree "
I always recommend one Talent that is core to it - but it also depends on your party composition which is why I don't like to recommend fix builds!

We want the serpent of scale guide!
I never have time to use buff or debuff skills unless its a boss fight. Damage is just too op

Equinox, has ultra craft debilitator and major downer

actually kinda stupid how a bodkin archer is one of the best monsters 😂 in joker 2 this wouldn't have been possible
I love it to be fair!
Serpent guide when?
Where does the Cupcake Cane accessory drop?
BODKIN got thar DAWG in em
Bro what is that white dragon? It looks so cool omg
Serpent of the Scales!
@@HDHaZmY thx for the name, im on my way to Synthetize it
How do u get the defender 2 trait and make it 100?
He is an archer but he needs to get closer of the enemy to attack... That's tragic. Square really nerfed all the monsters in the game.
