Wow, did I need to hear this! Thank you so much. Before I do any more research, I need to reorganize what I’ve done and truly know where everything is located and feel good about my backup system. You’re the best❣️😊

Great gem re recent search on Ancestry (or other subscription) to find what you were doing last. Thanks as always.

Hi Lisa! My name is Dave. And I am an Erratic Genealogist
I think this video is great advice because the reality is most of us have to go through this at some point or another. Personally, I'm really forgetful and can be a bit scatterbrained. Things like research logs and source citations are invaluable for me to remember what I've already done so I don't sit there staring blankly at the screen and repeating myself.
I use GRAMPS for my genealogy database. Something that is extremely helpful in that program is I have the Dashboard set to show me a to-do list I've created, the last records I've modified, and some suggestions that Gramps thinks I should do to fill in gaps in my research.

I've been syncing my RM tree with Ancestry for a while, but never figured out I could be searching from within RM -- I will try it out!

Thank you Lisa for this informative share. This subject has been haunting me over the past few months. I was unaware of the search history on Ancestry. I am at ease a little bit now.

I love genealogy! I have four kids and they definitely impact how often I'm able to work on it, lol. Your hair is gorgeous, btw!!

I was new at this and I just did it to try to help my husband find out who his father was after 66 years and not knowing because the man on the birth certificate was not his father starting to do this we found out that there's all kinds of my heritage and my ancestry with his name with the person that is not his so I sent my ancestry a copy of my hair just saying that that person was not the father and ask him to take down the websites that's a I know who did them but they said they would and then they put it in my deceased daughter's name so I'm very upset about this don't know how to solve this problem so we was going to do a DNA with my ancestry and that's when we found out that there's an account in my husband's name with the person that's not his father on that so how do we do a DNA and my husband's name without them putting that he's the father is because my myheritage has says he's not the only put that he was deceased and would not give us a name so now we're left feeling of the unknown
