You do realise that having a bird come to your hand qualifies you as an official Disney Princess now Ken?
I have been a Disney Princess for years. Trouble is everyone wants to be one now 😁👍
This brings back fun adventures we had in our VW Pop Up Camper Van, I was 16, my brother a newborn and father a grump! But we still had great adventures for two yrs till I want away to collage. Four of us in that little van. The baby slept in a hanging canvas cot, over the driver seats. I was horizontally up in the pop up section on a canvas stretcher thing
We slept like babies. We had sleeping bags for the ease of them. And once a week they were all washed along with very meager wardrobe. But it was fun.
Three yrs later it was sold for just about what they paid for it. It was the 70’s, Rock &Roll
Sounds like great fun and you must have lots of happy memories 😀
It is so wonderful that you explore and enjoy one of the most beautiful countries in the world. It would be hard to stay home at all with so many adventures to take. Thanks for taking us along 💕
The UK has a lot to offer 👍
Robin feeding from your hand…major bucket list event. Magical. Beautiful sunset too. Take care x
Friendly little soul but I suspect I might not have been it’s first hand 😁👍
“You do have some weird thoughts” 😂.
Beautiful little friendly robin. Fascinating little house & use of space and interesting large house & gardens. Already looking forward to revisiting the needles with you next time 😊
We had a really good day at the Needles 😁👍
Lovely island! Thank you for sharing it with us!!
You old romantics, at the kissing gate. 😂 lovely. I never realised the island was so hilly. Great views.
Some are short climbs but 1st gear only. Great views 👍
In the bag or out your videos always come at the right time. I love the countryside and the history you share. Please keep it up, I so love em.
Thanks 👍
Sleeping on the slope is always an issue! I often wake up with my nose smashing into the side of the fridge! Those grounds looked lovely and nice cafe. That Robin! Giant cobwebs 😳. The micro house was very interesting. What more do you need? …A rendition by Carol on the drums perhaps 😁 love standing stones. Agree re the cameras. Lovely evening for a walk. 😊
Cheers guys 👍
I really enjoy your episodes. Ken gets us to where we are going, shoots beautiful video and Carol gives an interesting and thoughtful narrative. Very enjoyable indeed. 😊
Glad you like them!
Wow, I like watching you guys, whether you do a video a week or a month. You do what suits you.
Thanks for watching 👍
@@LifeistooshortCK you have been so helpful with content and answering questions. It’s very much appreciated.
@@williamclark3572 You’re welcome.
Great video & the isle of white has many nice places thanks for sharing 😊
Our pleasure 🙂
Beautiful views, amazing drone shots. There are so many places in the states you can't use drones that it's lovely to see the birds eye view of the beautiful coast line.
I think one day all personal drones will be banned and TH-cam will be poorer for it. ☹️👍
That was interesting seeing that little office in the tiny home. I never realised there were so much history on the island.
We didn’t have time to see all the main attractions on the island but I’m sure we will be back one day 🙂
What a great place to visit!!! Thanks Carol for supplying all the history details that goes with all you're visiting!!!! All the scenery is so very beautiful and it all looks so clean and tidy.... Thanks for sharing....
You are welcome ❤️
Mottistone is beautiful, what a gorgeous garden. I love english gardens in general and visited many, they are stunning 😊. What great weather you had and those drone shots are top notch. Thank you for this great vlog 👍P.S. The track "Still Life" is so beautiful, love your taste in music
Cheers Anita. We had the best weather 👍
❤❤
Beautiful gardens we will definitely have a visit in the new year , lovely video thanks carol and ken😊
Mottistone Gardens are well worth a visit. Thanks for watching 🙂
What a lovely trip! That house and gardens are just beautiful, and the weather stunning
That tiny house was amazing, to think it was designed back then too 😎 How sweet was the Robin 💕 Em & Gary 💜
Sunday morning peace and quiet and a cuppa tea 🍵 enjoying the vlog 😊 that tiy home would be just right in winter keep the heating costs dowm ! That robin looked like its been around a,while seeing what it could gain from.the tourists ❤great drone footage as always..very nice on the IOW 🎉 BZest of luck sourcing the new van 👌
Cheers David. I often thought that if heating costs spiralled out of control or we started having blackouts that I could section off and insulate a tiny area of the lounge to stay warm 😁👍
@@LifeistooshortCK yeah that would have been a solution indeed 😉
If only Carol had come forward when the Beatles were looking for a drummer! Another fantastic episode. Thanks. X
Yes think of the van we could buy if she had 😁👍
Thanks for sharing 🍓🧶🌈💙
Thanks for watching!
What a great spot Mottistone House & Gardens are. The garden retreat hut idea, has been used by many famous writers, artists & poets throughout the UK, mostly from late Victorian until 1950s, Roald Dahl for example, afford the occupants' serenity, security and peacefulness. A place where you can shut out any interference or noise from the surrounding world, so to be able to concentrate... almost like those of us with Camper Vans, being a mobile version of the same, to get away from any invasions, these days I find people and noise the worst (particularly those who love to share their noisy music, then continue to argue & shout above the din!!). Well done, as always. Kia Ora from New Zealand. 💜💜 PS: The window handle looks like out of an old Austin A40, like we had here in the late 1950s, very ingenious!!
That handle probably was. You are right about the benefits of a quiet retreat. We love being parked up in silence even if it’s only for a few hours we feel refreshed. 👍
If you are enabled to put out interesting videos by editing them when you get back home, then I say go for it. I don’t mind watching them out of season. Looks like you had a kissing gate and a spooning tree in this one. I wish we had had more time on the IofW. It’s a long way from Oregon! Why are Downs always up?
I feel the same about all the channels I watch on TH-cam. It matters not to me when it was filmed but many people would like us to be more current.
Downs all always up as they follow the lead of the skylark 😁👍
Beautiful scenery.
Your Isle of Wight trip was a good one. A good storm while in the camper is always exciting! Mary
Oh yes we like a storm as long as everyone is safe and not harmed. They are great to watch but what is really special is how snug and cosy the van feels when it’s being lashed with wind and rain 😁👍
Carol and Ken. What a joy to see Tennyson Down. My husband and I walked the IOW Coastal Path - 108 miles in total and the sight of the monument brought back happy memories. You are also Geocachers or have you just started. We have found caches in 12 countries and find that they are often hidden by locals at the best spots that tourists don’t really know about and you learns of interesting information. I do hope your van dilemma is resolved very soon, we are in our 70’s and the most important item in our camper van is the fixed bed. Without a good nights sleep,we really struggle the next day. Plus our bed has a massive amount of storage underneath which is extremely useful. Good luck
Carol has been Geocaching since 2009.
We are finding our priorities for a van are changing as we get older. A fixed bed is very tempting but we also like a lot of space for relaxing during the day ☺️
thank you for sharing your trips, beautiful, and educational at the same time.
Thanks for watching!
We completely understand why you share videos after the event. How very dare you wish to enjoy the moment...!
Our mog Mildred very much enjoyed this week's video! I'll share pics in a bit. N&N x
Thanks for watching and commenting. Glad Mildred enjoyed it 😀👍
I have noticed that other youtubers comment on their struggles to edit and upload vlogs on the road. Some are full timers but all. Dont put yourself under stress.
We don’t allow it to impact us. We just stop if not in the mood 😁👍
My goodness I could smell that stew 😂 👍
I thought we were the only softies who always share a kiss at the kissing gates ❤❤
😘😘
Really like your drone footage its always lovely picturesque and well done.
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
Another great video thanks for sharing keep them coming
Really enjoying this trip, I'm learning alot about my birthplace 😊
Lovely 😊 have a lovely weekend 😊
Hari OM
Am loving this trip... even getting the map up and tracing the places with you! YAM xx
Great place to visit YAM 👍
Enjoyed that and nice to hear Carol intro it as a change to good combo of you both narrating - I rely on Jane as you know as I can’t talk proper 😂
Bird whisperer ….
Loved the micro house of old … typewriter was the old TH-cam equiv lol
Thanks for creating and sharing
Carol edited a lot of it as well 😁👍
Lovely video again guys . Thank you.

Thanks for watching 🙂
Hi you two a great video thank you xx
Glad you enjoyed it Gary 🙂
Great vid Carol & Ken 😁
Thanks 🙂
Hi Carol and Ken. Hope you are both fine.
We’re good thanks Larry 🙂👍
good vid
Cheers Lee 🙂👍
First time I have seen you two geocaching. Been at it long?
Years and years. Carol is the real fan. She goes on regular massive hunts with her sister Linda. She even has a few trackables out there. I used to join in but don’t really have the patience for finding the difficult ones and not that keen on the stopping and starting of the walk during the hunt. Every now and then we indulge a little together though as I know how much she loves it 😁👍
🙏👍
Thanks Carol and Ken for anther lovely video. What would you say is a reasonable time scale for a relaxed tour of the IOW? Thanks.
About 2 weeks to see all the main attractions at a leisurely pace. The driving distances are not large.
As a techie (sorry!), do you think a new iPhone 15 Pro Max might help you reduce the number of cameras?
We visited friends on IOW many years ago just for an overnight stop and watching this series makes me think we should definitely return. Just need to convince the OH that we should buy a campervan😉
I am a bit of a techie myself. This was filmed on the iPhone 14 Pro Max. The iPhone 15 has a 5 times zoom compared to my 3 times zoom. Having the zoom is much better than the fixed lens of my Osmo action. The Osmo is more discreet though.
Would I switch. I think I would miss a version or 2 as the 14 is good enough for what I need.
Definitely buy a campervan 👍
What app do you use for the geo-caching? I tried a few but could never find any actual caches listed locally.
Just the Geocaching app. I tend to download the caches in advance if going on a planned geocaching walk in case the internet signal is bad.
Didn’t Queen Victoria have a home on Wight?
Yes, Osborne House. It will feature in a future episode ☺️
