Chaos Orbs, if you had a good amount of them, would be super powerful in this game. If the intent is to Regal to create 3 stat rares, you could then reroll a 3 stat item to be perfect and exalt slam it and get something really good. I like what they're trying to do here, but it definitely will need some tweaking to get right. I didn't understand why they removed alts, but this makes more sense. If you had perfect 2 stat items all the time from alts, and could just regal and try to force reroll a trash 3rd stat, getting perfect 3 stat items would be a bit easier. I'd almost argue that chaos orbs are more important to crafting now than exalts, because it's the easiest way to create good base items from a 3 stat rare. That is of course assuming you can actually get them frequently (chaos orbs). I'm all for slamming a few exalts finally in this game. That said, I do think we need to see more currency drop all together. If I'm not exalt slamming something almost everytime I play, then I think the purpose of this rework to currency is kind of a moot point because more loot is always more fun unless the crafting isn't super stressful due to currency limitations and is a bit more engaging content. If there's no point to crafting, why nerf loot, right? And that's where we're headed if currency doesn't drop in good quantities. I think they're trying to reach some perfect balance, but I think they really need to just go all in on one approach to crafting. Either we go back to more deterministic crafting and more loot from POE1, or we go hard with currency drops and let people go crazy with the new style crafting based one exalt slams. Personally I'd like to see them go with the second option. I think the engine and combat mechanics are really good right now. Just the changes to movement and the slow gameplay is enough for the game to feel completely different than POE1. I don't think we need to play this currency battle where people don't want to craft because currency is so limited. It's making the experience tough on more casual players and I think there's a really good opportunity to bring in a strong new playerbase if crafting was fun and engaging. Right now it's just too pricey still. If loot/crafting was perfect in this game, people would be all over it.
They specifically don't want you to be able to infinitely roll items to perfection, because that makes people hoard currency. Some options for it can exist, but they need to be rare. This is the only way drops can be valuable.
@@hanselito2416They were probably intended as something that can potentially salvage a bad regal or early exalt, 1/3 or 1/4 is a pretty decent chance to hit the mod you want gone. I think the idea with chaos orbs is when you have all the prefixes or suffixes you want but you have one bad of the other. Or maybe you have 3 prefixes 2 suffixes and one of the suffixes is bad. So you lock the prefix (or suffix) in with an omen, and then try to reroll the bad suffixes into something good. So big fan of your content. Been watching your d2 videos for years and happy to see you with more Poe content. So about chaos orbs in their current state. I actually think they are very insane in that they are now essentially an annulment orb and an exalt in a single currency. The second of why I think they changed it is that with no orbs of alteration and the change to chaos the devs seem to be telling us they want us constantly searching for good bases. Not just getting one good base and using that over and over. Not saying I agree with their view but I think that’s what they are trying to move away from. I think it really makes picking up white bases a lot more important than in Poe 1. Once again love the content and am happy to say that this game is a gem. GGG killed it.
this is really good well done GGG I like how Ruthless-Like the game feels. I don't want that feeling changed. I want to have that "wow!" moment when dropping a rare item, even if for a different build. Less items, more quality.
If they convert Llama a full time D2 player to PoE2 you know they are doing something right 😂 the game is so good, glad they are listening and can't wait till the game fully releases. Going to be amazing!
The issue is that players do not get that a larger gold pile is worth like 2-3 rares. On top of this, you are likely to NOT get an upgrade. So you would be selling those items anyway. Bosses always dropping at least 1 rare is big.
Chaos Orbs are most often used with Omens to limit, for example, only the prefix or only the suffix can be changed in the next craft, this combination to start crafting an already rare item with 3 or 4 mods is very strong.
if they keep up the good work on this game its a serious contender on the best ARPG game of all time... D2LOD has been the best so far for me personally but this seems like a modern successor which is just as fun to play
Love the checkpoint teleport change. Some of the biggest OOF moments I've had while playing have been town portaling when a map's nearly completed, get sidetracked for a couple minutes too long, now the portal's gone, the map's reset and have to do it all over again 😵 At least now you can teleport to a forward checkpoint and hopefully find what you need quickly again (remaining quest or exit somewhere near the other end).
I'm so happy rn...these changes are amazing!! And whether you love the game or hate the game, can we all just take a moment to appreciate how these devs actually care and listen?? So refreshing in this modern day and age

Thank you for the prompt PoE2 coverage, it's nice to get info from someone I like rather than some rando. Been a while since I played [current thing] with the rest of the world.
i like that they're careful about drops outside the egregious state of gemcutters. it's as you say: up the drops by 10-20% and check again. if its still too little, go another 10-20%. better than a 200% blanket buff that can never be tuned down without a massive shitshow!
on day one me and my friend both thought hey, i love how huge the zones are it really add magnitude to the game but i just wish i could tp to checkpoints and they did it!!!!! im so excited these are all great changes. im glad i have faith in ggg.
I think with the more regals now, the chaos orb 1 stat change makes sense.. from magic to rare you have 3 affixes. If that regal potentially bricked your otherwise good magic item, you now have a chance to fix it at that point before going further. And if you're able to roll more rares, then you wouldn't need chaos to roll completely new mods anyway. I like the change.
I GLADLY bought the highest tier early access pack not for the content itself, but because I wanted to support GGG for this exact reason; they LISTEN to their base and adjust accordingly. I will continue to do so as well in the future.
On chaos orbs: I once found a nice quarterstaff base with bad mods (3x added some elemental damage and bad suffix). I managed to reroll that bad prefix into life on hit (still bad, but passable) and fire damage into crit or something. Thanks to that I managed to open up suffix and exalted orb was kind enough to reward me with physical damage... So yeah, it has niche uses.
Playing thru some early zones twice i noticed pack size can vary so much, sometimes i had tiny packs sometimes near double or more the size of packs, ofc that changed the drops like crazy too.
Seems like a real solid patch. First time player just made it to Act two. Really enjoying it apart from a few quirks but ggg seem to be on top of things. Def a quality dev team

seeing GGG fix these issues so quickly makes me really pissed off at the people who left negative steam reviews because of these issues. People need to get their heads checked and stop reviewing early access like a finished game.
But thats the point... They can only address issues when they are raised by the community - by rewiews, by posts on reddit, by yt videos - people most certainly should post reviews including negative ones if there are problems. Now that they addressed some of it reviews can be updated.
Exactly. They KNEW it was early access. Not only that, it’s a paid early access so there’s no way they don’t know. And still they treated it like it’s a completed game and talking about it like it’s a completed game. So annoying. A negative rating but with Constructive feedback is totally fine tho, but there’s some people who are like super toxic about it
I love GGG so much. Literally everything I had an issue with is being changed for the better and we're not even a week into the launch. Now they just need to fix the bow's jump skills. Hate how melee mobs can hit me mid air while I'm leaping above them.
Glad they change the boss drops. After fighting the act 1 boss for 3 hours and beating him. I got rewarded with 2 white pieces of gear and 1 transmutation orb. Biggest slap in the face.
This is a great start, but of course they nerfed the one build that actually felt good to me (SRS Infernalist). Looking forward to more drop frequency and other tweaks to get the balancing in a better spot, because as of last night it was brutal. No mention of buffing coin drop rates, which kinda surprises me. Lugging blues constantly back to town to sell gets really old and breaks rhythm. I do, however, love GGG and have 100% confidence in them getting this right by January!
Great patch the one thing I question is the chaos orb change. I like getting more exalted orbs but if chaos orbs aren’t valuable shouldn’t they drop more… Again if it’s exalted vs chaos I want exalted. But you kinda need to spam chaos to try and fix a bad item.
Yeah.. by cruel act 1. I only found 4 chaos, 10 or so exalted maybe a few more (I have none, used them all). And I have like 4 regals I haven't used yet. I'm kinda glad for the changes though.. finding stuff is hard, crafting is harder. Gotta find the right base which takes a while, then gotta craft and if it fails rip.
They absolutely needed to do something about the drops. Hopefully this doesn't make the game any less difficult. I like the challenge especially for an ARPG
0:40 people were exploiting an act 1 boss that is next to the waypoint, because bosses had boosted currency drops they did 1-2 minute runs and farmed tons of gold selling the crappy low level items as well as decent currency.
The chaos orb is one of the more useful orbs but I don't think I'd almost ever use one without Omens influencing which mod I'm trying to reroll. They're probably lowering their drop chance just to make it so that the rarity corresponds with it's usage as an "end game" currency
I felt that during the act 1 final boss and when you had to stay in the middle while getting swamped by a mob of ads and getting pushed into the fog. I beat it but god damm I was struggling enough to start sweating a little bit lol.
I'm only lvl 8 and so far I like the difficulty compared to D4. Reminds me of D2 which is good. I have found a few rares and one legendary item so I haven't really felt I was missing out on decent items, but the ability to farm map bosses for rares is certainly nice. Great game so far. Not looking forward to the trials though as it sounds like I won't be able to complete them (personal skill issue). Will be interesting to see if they adjust the difficulty of those.
Looking great so far. The "unlucky drops" rate does make me worry a tad, just because it can be a slippery slope. Just so long as they don't get as bad as D3 did
Very nice quality of life update, hope they keep this mentality and don't fo stuff to lessen the game's diffculty because some ppl are salty they can't zoom across the map killing everything by spamming one ability.
So they heard some of the feedback with the drops and adjusted it. Kinda insane how quickly they got on top of it. That’s an encouraging sign.

GGG killed it.
this is really good
well done GGG
I like how Ruthless-Like the game feels.
Amazing changes overall
This is why I love GGG, they are quick and they listen to feedback.
I mean their goal after all is to make a game that they want to play themselves.
They made the game they wanted to play already. It's that nobody liked that game and wanted it to change.
Lol quick... If that is the standard you go by... I better have them doing it well so no adjustments are even needed to begin with.
It's refreshing having a Dev that listens to feedback
This was just the pick me up I needed. I went from hardly getting any orbs to actually bring able to craft stuff and not struggle anymore early game
super nice change and im happy to see it, genuinely impressed with the care and attention this game is getting. GGG doing good so far
I love GGG. I love how active and transparent they are and you can really tell they care about the game and most of all the players. Bravo!
Rerolling a single modifier is much better. It would be cool of there was another item that let you reroll the value of s modifier.
if they keep up the good work on this game its a serious contender on the best ARPG game of all time...
Man, they're literally addressing most major complaints within a few days. Phenomenal.
I'm so happy rn...these changes are amazing!!
And whether you love the game or hate the game, can we all just take a moment to appreciate how these devs actually care and listen?? So refreshing in this modern day and age
The German Goo Girls are doing an incredible job! Wish more devs were 'Jonathan like!'
That dodge roll change is actually perfect
I bet they even watched your video from before (and other ytbers/streamers) to get information about things like this.
Great job GGG as always!
These are huge. And the fact it happened so quickly is amazing. Not even a week to adress it already. Im blown away.
Thats the reason that the game is in Early Acces. Get Feedback from the Community and Improve the game. I dont undestand Why people Are instant mad because smth is Not good yet, its an early access. After 4 days the first good changes (exclude some important nerfes) are really good
When you charge full price for it you don’t get to use that excuse anymore.
@ they Can because you Pay that you are able play the game before the full release comes out and you pay to Support the game, Not for a finished game.
@@JamesSmithTexas lets be real full price is usually 60 bucks and if you didnt want to get early access you didnt have to. its not like they lied to you and tricked you into buying early access.
@@JamesSmithTexasDude wtf, if ur not supporting, wait for release and its free then... Wanker
I hope they will remain in good will like in this patch, but I hope for god sakes change/improve honor system in trial, its just painful...
This will truly make this game so much better now so epic
Awesome patch. Currency and crafting is great, but it's not the same feeling as getting a direct item drop
You’re right crafting feels better makes currency drops feel valuable and needed.
TIL there were drop issues. I only noticed a concerning lack of socketed drops, so you can't salvage them to make your own sockets.
Is that why all of a sudden I feel I’m getting better gear drops from bosses and more currency from mobs
Of course it is.
Thanks!
Here i am, level 53 and still no lesser jeweler's found. So 33% increased drop rate of 0 is still 0! xD
There are a few events that guarantee a drop of one during the act, gotta do optional bosses
Just got to Act 3, great changes overall!
I'm looking forward to enjoying those increased drop rates!
over the past few days i've thought "damn it would be nice to teleport between checkpoints within the same zone." thanks, GGG!
Playing thru some early zones twice i noticed pack size can vary so much, sometimes i had tiny packs sometimes near double or more the size of packs, ofc that changed the drops like crazy too.
Can't wait to play tonight! Almost level 15 so higher drop rate sounds sweet. Can't wait to play today after work!
Seems like a real solid patch. First time player just made it to
Act two. Really enjoying it apart from a few quirks but ggg seem to be on top of things. Def a quality dev team
Honestly gearing hasn’t bothered me even tho it’s extremely limited. What bothers me is the auto target system, always attacking the wrong targets
I've had the exact opposite issue on my warrior. Not had a upgraded weapon in 18 levels now ish. Big strughle aauuuugh
@ I was lucky to find a 96% spell power Lv 10 unique wand on my witch which has carried me to Lv 22 now so far. I’ve crafted a few decent upgrades too. That’s brutal tho hope you get a decent upgrade soon
@@Dirkei Gah damn. Yeah no the only good thing on my gear is the weapon and that one I put a regal on and 2 exalt and got somewhat lucky. But yeah it be rough. Can't do 2nd ascendancy yet either while being very overlevelled
The trial of strength is bugged for console, after failing you can't exit aside from restarting the game. If you try to click reset trial the ok and cancel buttons are inaccessible via the controller. Hope the devs fix it soon.
Lol, those checkpoint changes are nearly word for word what I commented on your other video about the oversized maps ^^
seeing GGG fix these issues so quickly makes me really pissed off at the people who left negative steam reviews because of these issues.
Getting mad on behalf of a multibillion dollar Chinese company is a bit much. They’ll be ok buddy, will you?
That's the downside of an early steam release
Exactly. They KNEW it was early access. Not only that, it’s a paid early access so there’s no way they don’t know.
And still they treated it like it’s a completed game and talking about it like it’s a completed game. So annoying.
A negative rating but with Constructive feedback is totally fine tho, but there’s some people who are like super toxic about it
Hes will not be okay. 😅@@flankman9385
Wow... On the ball and good changes.
As a new player to this studio I'm liking thier management of the game gg ggg 🙂
Chaos orbs are a endgame crafting currency, it's "wortless" now.
I like the transcript feature, not seen that before.
Thank god the being traped is getting sorted. The rage from me and my friends on discord has been legendary 😂
At least we get more loot/drops to work with, thats already fine by me honestly. Big thanks 🙏🏼
I love GGG so much. Literally everything I had an issue with is being changed for the better and we're not even a week into the launch. Now they just need to fix the bow's jump skills. Hate how melee mobs can hit me mid air while I'm leaping above them.
Love how GGG listens to players, game is awesome.
The pace they deliver is godly. GGG
Nice, all my issues addressed.
If i could make 1 change though, i wish they would being back alteration orbs
I’m super happy with the way they are handling changes.
Ggg shill
@ how did you see my comment? I checked the box that said “intelligent people only”
@@MMoer lmao go back to d4
teleport and regal is the major point, amazing
Glad they change the boss drops. After fighting the act 1 boss for 3 hours and beating him. I got rewarded with 2 white pieces of gear and 1 transmutation orb. Biggest slap in the face.
This is game of the year hands down
I agree with value of a chaos orb, I really don’t see myself ever using one.
I thought they would wait a week to buff loot and stuff, but its nice that they got on it this fast.
Good to see quick response from the devs... d4 closed beta any feedback was just ignored
Great patch the one thing I question is the chaos orb change. I like getting more exalted orbs but if chaos orbs aren’t valuable shouldn’t they drop more… Again if it’s exalted vs chaos I want exalted. But you kinda need to spam chaos to try and fix a bad item.
Your take on chaos orbs is bang on. Zero point in using them.
To everyone being surprised by having such a fast hotfix:
Welcome to a GGG game.
I haven't found any chaos orbs, I have found 6 exalts though and I'm only in act 2 lol
I found my first chaos like halfway through act 3.
Yeah.. by cruel act 1.
2 chaos 3 exalts for me by act 1 cruel. unlucky on top of low drop rates -_-
I'm in act 2 cruel and have found 1 chaos lmao.
@@-__Shadow__- Only 10 exalted and 4 chaos? I am in cruel act 2 and i found 4 exalted and 1 chaos.
They absolutely needed to do something about the drops. Hopefully this doesn't make the game any less difficult. I like the challenge especially for an ARPG
0:40 people were exploiting an act 1 boss that is next to the waypoint, because bosses had boosted currency drops they did 1-2 minute runs and farmed tons of gold selling the crappy low level items as well as decent currency.
the benches were made out Titanium lol.
I did it for hours, lot of uniques, and useful early game items.
The chaos orb is one of the more useful orbs but I don't think I'd almost ever use one without Omens influencing which mod I'm trying to reroll. They're probably lowering their drop chance just to make it so that the rarity corresponds with it's usage as an "end game" currency
This is early release. I'm surprised how so many are surprised they fixed issues quickly.
Just so long as they don't get as bad as D3 did
This Beetles in Keth got my sorrc dead like 20 times, getting stuck is really flustrating and for me this is the best change in this patch.
1st patch and they fix the vast majority of problems i had, like with the dodge roll and the checkpoints teleport
Very nice quality of life update, hope they keep this mentality and don't fo stuff to lessen the game's diffculty because some ppl are salty they can't zoom across the map killing everything by spamming one ability.
Migration and Alc's need some love too😮💨
Speedy patches were expected but it seems they actually work through the weekend this time.
