- We had a good time but the competition in the area we picked was intense. Over 20 camps within a mile of ours. We had 10 other hunters opening morning on the same hill as us. We learned some things and will hopefully be better next time. Unit 21
Good video. Great trip with a great bunch of guys. Have to say very successful.
I've been here for 20 years and you take a big chance taking a two wheel drive in the back country.
Next time just hook up the four wheeler with a guy sitting on the front rack and it would help drag up the pick em up truck up that hill.

Did you hunt that wilderness? Because you're only allowed as a non resident to hunt it with an outfitter or resident guide
No sir Officer. Me and the guy in that part of video don’t even have a tag. We was scouting for our buddy who had tag and was not even on that mountain at that time. We cut through wilderness to get to another piece.

Elk can hear the common sound of a 4 wheeler for miles.... and shortly after that... they put on miles to get away from the sound of the 4 wheeler...
I disagree with the four wheeler noise running off elk.
If that's true than why do people mow them down with a car?
