Great tour of the garden and it looks really well. I find with tomatoes no matter what different varieties I try to grow my default varieties still always produce so like yourself I think next year I will just stick with the 3 or 4 staple varieties that do well.

Thank you, Ali. I thought I was the only person in the world who didn't rate cherry tomatoes. Far too much skin and seed compared to the flesh. Ok for a quick nibble while walking around the garden but other tomatoes are much more useful.
Yep I agree a faff at best and a pain in the tucas as well 🤣. I can cut up a large tomato for salad but Ali ing and grilling for my breakfast just isn’t happening with a cherry 🍒. Have an awesome weekend Lin hope it’s a nice one.

Hey Ali 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻 Out of all the marigolds I threw around the garden like you did, I didn't get one to grow, french or African..😢 Wow, I have never seen a real life humming bird before, there was a time when I thought hummingbirds, seahorses and unicorns were mythical,.🤣😂🤣😂 You just reminded me to plant some bush beans. Oddly enough the marigolds are putting on a big show on the patio in pots but like you the in ground ones are crap this year. But hey what isn’t crap oh right he trombonchino 🤣🤣. We are very blessed to have 3 or more hummingbirds here all year long. Gerald bless his little cotton socks feeds them rain shine or snow ❄️ he’s out there looking after them. Oh wow,we had some thunder the other day but no lighting. It’s now back to low 30’s here and may cool down 🤣🤣 to high 20’s in a few days. I find myself hiding in the house until the sun drops behind the back trees. I am starting to see slight blushing in the beefsteak tomatoes 🍅 but nothing like last year at this time. Oh well that’s gardening I guess. Thank you Steve means a lot that people even watch. Have a super weekend if there is such a thing for someone as busy as you 👍👍

Thank you so much it took a while but I’m glad that’s over 🤭🤭 I use a GoPro and I find it gets hot if you film too long. Plus I’m old 🤣🤣 so doing anything long term on one day is not a good idea. It can get confusing however if I forget to mention the day I am actually filming. It is sunny again so I’m trying to get 2 or 3 big jobs done before it changes again. I’m happy your enjoying them 🙏 have a marvellous weekend

@@myrustygarden I planted cocozelle a romanesco type after the squash vine borer were supposedly active, however smack at the height of powdery mildew season. I have a cool one Nanou sent that is a yellow vine type...alas nothing happening. Not meant to be this year. Not yanking though as we are supposed to have a milder than normal temp range in Sept. and Oct.. Often the summer squashes muscle thru the PM and produce.

Oddly enough the marigolds are putting on a big show on the patio in pots but like you the in ground ones are crap this year. But hey what isn’t crap oh right he trombonchino 🤣🤣. We are very blessed to have 3 or more hummingbirds here all year long. Gerald bless his little cotton socks feeds them rain shine or snow ❄️ he’s out there looking after them. Oh wow,we had some thunder the other day but no lighting. It’s now back to low 30’s here and may cool down 🤣🤣 to high 20’s in a few days. I find myself hiding in the house until the sun drops behind the back trees. I am starting to see slight blushing in the beefsteak tomatoes 🍅 but nothing like last year at this time. Oh well that’s gardening I guess. Thank you Steve means a lot that people even watch. Have a super weekend if there is such a thing for someone as busy as you 👍👍

I love sedums too, last week I swiped a few leaves from the neighbourhood and am having a go at propagating them, they’re doing OK, I’ll show you in my next video.

I use a GoPro and I find it gets hot if you film too long. Plus I’m old 🤣🤣 so doing anything long term on one day is not a good idea. It can get confusing however if I forget to mention the day I am actually filming. It is sunny again so I’m trying to get 2 or 3 big jobs done before it changes again. I’m happy your enjoying them 🙏 have a marvellous weekend

Oh I will definitely taste them and my daughter will love them for soups. I am hoping I get Mascotte before the cold 🥶 comes. Can you not grow zephyr because of vine beetle? If you want to try I’d be happy to send you some seed.

@@myrustygarden I planted cocozelle a romanesco type after the squash vine borer were supposedly active, however smack at the height of powdery mildew season. I have a cool one Nanou sent that is a yellow vine type...alas nothing happening. Not meant to be this year. Not yanking though as we are supposed to have a milder than normal temp range in Sept. and Oct..
