Totally agree with your last statement: "The more I fly with them, the more I like them. Bought mine on the pre sale and god really worried when the reviews started coming out. But for me, that got these as my first set of goggles, they are all I expected them to be.
the great thing about the ev100 is that you can connect them to a pc quite easily so you can train in a simulator very easily. you just need an hdmi to AV RCA converter and a 3.5mm jack to AV RCA cable. If you decide to do that make sure the polarity from tip to base on the 3.5mm jack is left audio, right audio, ground, video. Very important is just the ground position, all the other stuff can be switched around manually. Oh, and they plug into the right port of the ev100, the left 3.5mm jack is for audio output.
This looks exactly like the eachine dvrpro in a different casing . I discovered that the vrd2 goggles also use the dvrpro as well . If you ever have to replace it, it's an exact fit and same connectors. My ev100 goggles should be here any day. I will comment about them if they ever get here. Good review.
Have had mine for a week loving them, my first pair were the VRD2 pros box goggles. This is way more immersive, I also have perfect vision and eyes line up well with these.

I've had my EV100 goggles for several months now, along with the DVR module that came with them, but I'm just getting started with FPV and have been playing around with sticking cameras on drones because the stock cameras on all of them suck. Luckily, the cameras available are waaaaaaaay better than those. I've been flying FPV pretty regular now I've gotten the drone to stop falling out of the sky for no reason, so I'm finally going to start filming. I love the goggles, and while I can imagine how other, more expensive goggles could have better picture I'm in no hurry to trade mine in. I'm a recreational flyer who isn't dodging obstacles at races, so maybe that has something to do with it. So now I've watched your video on how to use the DVR I'm looking forward to capturing my flights! Thanks for the video!

I am very happy with mine. I used box goggles before getting these and it took a while to get used to the small fov. But once you start flying I don't notice the small fov at all.The dvr works good too, but it would be nice to be able to tell if you are recording from inside the goggles. Nice job on the review.
Just got mine today fly twice and I love them haven't had a chance outside cause it's -2. At first my eyes wouldn't adjust to one screen but I adjusted it and now it looks awesome and anyone says the screen is small your crazy I'm 43 years old I don't wear glasses and I can see just fine it is a little different than box which I'm used to.great video I'm very happy with these so far can't wait to fly more.peace
+GrumpStump I’m afraid of peoples response to this one. There is so much hate for the EV100s. But I like them more every time I try them. We’ll see if that changes after I work on some outdoor reviews with them this weekend.
I'm just getting into FPV, and had considered box goggles because I have to wear glasses for up close work. I only need +1.00 or +1.25. With the adjustment, these might work. The DVR was something I wanted. This plug-in solution is great. Thanks!
DroneRacer101I have 2 of them and the second pair I was able to view it as one image whilst the first unit it was only 50% overlayed, so, partial double image. I haven't tried the first ones again but will to see if it's my failing eyes or the fact I easily go crosd eyed ;)
@GrumpStump . My eyes are +1.50 and these focus perfect with about half a notch remaining to adjust. I am very focus concious as I am a professional photographer in real life. Coming from the eachine Goggles 2 which I find far too big an image and a pain to fit my glasses I just wish these were just a slight bit bigger on the image FOV. But as was mentioned by DroneRacer....I am liking these more with each use.

Hai, I have fatshark Teleporter v3 n ev100. I love this ev100 bcoz the colour much better then fatshark n now Ev100 have extenal dvr much better. Still it not perfect but for now I loving it.
I had tried reading the manual and couldn't hook it up properly, but after a I checked and followed the steps in your great video here... works like a charm. I double sided taped it to the underside of the EV100s instead of the top and it seems to be a neater position with less overhang to bump, then I noticed it had to be on top for access to AV in/out #learningslowly . thanks lots, subscribed :o) tony

I bought the ev100 and they came w the dvr only sucks I got make a power plug from the inside of the goggles to the dvr because I got the battery pack without second plug for the dvr.
Removed the face plate and replaced it with a sleeping mask with some eye holes cut in. Two way tape keeps it in place. Greatly improves the field of view as your eyes are closer to the screens. Also has the benefit of being a much more comfortable fit on my face. Stuck two Aomway cloverleaf antennas on. Many people complain of video drop-out, but that's because they are only using one antenna. Use two of the same. Works best for antenna diversity. My DVR module is on the way. I like them a lot, I definitely don't mind the whole FOV thing since I used to own Teleporters and these are amazing compared to those especially resolution, and I don't use glasses so they focus good for me. I currently use these and a Modded Pair of Fatshark attitude V2 w/ faceplate and Nexwave (FSV2442) module hard soldered on.

Go to you'r order page and it should tell you the tracking # , copy and "search google" the number will come up with FedEx and USPS, click FedEx first it's smart post. There Called The Pros, or something Like that Now. I don't know if they deliberately left off true Diversity, and a built in DVR just to keep the price as low as possible, or if they were in such a Rush to Release the Goggles they Didn't have time to implement those two missing features?.?.? IDK?.?. I believe in the next version, or two they will closely resemble the amway's in features and appearance. As far as the shape is concerned. I'm pretty sure they're going to stay with the white, and black as far as color choices. As far as that connecting Jack is concerned you could get a really short one with different sized ends and maybe even try to implement some 90 degree angle connectors:). Just an idea because I think I was one of the first people to purchase a 12 inch lightning connector to USB when the Phantom 3 came out. I got a real hang up with chords being too long obviously. Lol

You should do a video on e010 motors, I got some racer star 67000 rpm (the purple ones) motors and I’ve heard some other motors from tiny whoop are great also. I’d love to see a comparison!
I like my ev100s, they are nice budget option for beginners(go mine, lightly used for 40$) and the screen is not that small as many say. Even tried some older fat sharks and tbh. i was not impressed at all, in fact it was impossible to tell the difference, and slightliy bigger screen is not worth the extra money at least for me. However getting skyzones v2 this summer as they suit my face much better(ev100s are hard on my nose), screen seems like 4 times bigger and price is not that bad either.
Have you tried to plug a balance lead from an actual fully charged 2S battery into this, instead of Eachine battery? I know you prefer the USB packs, but since I have so many 2S batteries that are still good, I don't want to replace them quite yet with those USB battery packs that you like and would like to get DVR into my goggles until I can replace them too...lol...
I haven’t tried it. But I 100% confident it would be fine with a 2S. That is all the Eachine battery is. Well maybe not 100%. You may want to remove the center pin from the balance lead just to be 100%.
@@SimRacer101 Thanks! Ordered one and also sucked it up and ordered one of the USB battery packs too. I'll just measure the output of that balance plug, fully charged. If it matches to my 2S, then I'll know I'll be good to use them:)
Hello. Just got my EV100 DVR today. Loving it...great add-on. One question though, how do you transfer the recorded file into PC or to your cellphone? I tried using a usb sd card reader and plugged it into my cellphone. I cant seem to find the video files to transfer them. Have you come across this issue? Thanks
If you plug the SD card into your phone with an OTG cable just make sure your phone supports OTG. It should pop up on your phone that the SD card is detected and you will beable to access all your videos easily
If your using a iPhone the file has to be name with 8.3 file name I think it is. Meaning 8 letters or number the dot/period then 3 letter file extension like .mov or .mp4 so open the card on computer or laptop change video file to Drv1225a.mov... hope that helps
Well, I haven’t had them in a summer to have to try that. But I did use them with a simulator inside for quite a long time and had to turn the fan on. Not because of fogging but just because it was getting hot on my face. In that case it worked really well. Not to strong but enough to make it pleasant.
Nicholas Heidl ....no. Most of these DVRs require that the recording to be manually stopped while power is on to save the file. From my experience, if you unplug before stopping the recording , you will get a corrupt file entry.
+PauL TerL I have no idea. :-). But my prescription in both eyes is -3 which is why I think I can see better in these than my Aomways. The diopters come in -2 and -4 and neither is quite right.
+Steve Fonger I am getting new glasses soon so I will get an extra prescription and see how much those are. I think I would be a lot happier with my commanders. They are good once I have them on for a minute and get focussed but the first minute is rough.

Either way I love the goggles, I was afraid I wasn’t going to be satisfied with the FOV, which is small, but once I’m flying I got used to it right away! The DVR is a little cheap and confusing to remember all the button sequences for the menu and everything else I want is to do. I want to add a true dual receiver diversity module for my antennas. I saw somebody do the mod and I already have the module saved on Amazon waiting to be ordered. You should do a video for that mod as I think you could do a better job at explaining the antenna receiver diversity mod. If you press the record button and the light stays red. What do you suggest??? I feel the button being pressed but it won't go into record mode. Any ideas???

You should do a video on e010 motors, I got some racer star 67000 rpm (the purple ones) motors and I’ve heard some other motors from tiny whoop are great also. I’d love to see a comparison!

I like my ev100s, they are nice budget option for beginners(go mine, lightly used for 40$) and the screen is not that small as many say. Even tried some older fat sharks and tbh. i was not impressed at all, in fact it was impossible to tell the difference, and slightliy bigger screen is not worth the extra money at least for me. However getting skyzones v2 this summer as they suit my face much better(ev100s are hard on my nose), screen seems like 4 times bigger and price is not that bad either.

Have you tried to plug a balance lead from an actual fully charged 2S battery into this, instead of Eachine battery? I know you prefer the USB packs, but since I have so many 2S batteries that are still good, I don't want to replace them quite yet with those USB battery packs that you like and would like to get DVR into my goggles until I can replace them too...lol...
I haven’t tried it. But I 100% confident it would be fine with a 2S. That is all the Eachine battery is. Well maybe not 100%. You may want to remove the center pin from the balance lead just to be 100%.
@@SimRacer101 Thanks! Ordered one and also sucked it up and ordered one of the USB battery packs too. I'll just measure the output of that balance plug, fully charged. If it matches to my 2S, then I'll know I'll be good to use them:)

If when you press and hold the buttons, there is no menu, It seems the dvr is deffective then, try to report it to where you bought it? :)

Hello. Just got my EV100 DVR today. Loving it...great add-on. One question though, how do you transfer the recorded file into PC or to your cellphone? I tried using a usb sd card reader and plugged it into my cellphone. I cant seem to find the video files to transfer them. Have you come across this issue? Thanks

If you plug the SD card into your phone with an OTG cable just make sure your phone supports OTG. It should pop up on your phone that the SD card is detected and you will beable to access all your videos easily
If your using a iPhone the file has to be name with 8.3 file name I think it is. Meaning 8 letters or number the dot/period then 3 letter file extension like .mov or .mp4 so open the card on computer or laptop change video file to Drv1225a.mov... hope that helps
Download mx video player app from play store it plays all video file types, u can convert the video to mp4
How does the fan work... I had to add glasses to my EV800d and in the summer my glasses fog pretty bad. Does the fan keep down the fog???
Well, I haven’t had them in a summer to have to try that. But I did use them with a simulator inside for quite a long time and had to turn the fan on. Not because of fogging but just because it was getting hot on my face. In that case it worked really well. Not to strong but enough to make it pleasant.
2 years after the comment I come along lol. Yes, the fan definitely works, even in a lot of heat. I'm really happy with my EV100S

Hi, if you accidentally remove power whilst recording, does it save the recording? My DVR has been shipped, so, looking forward to getting it.
Nicholas Heidl ....no. Most of these DVRs require that the recording to be manually stopped while power is on to save the file. From my experience, if you unplug before stopping the recording , you will get a corrupt file entry.
Just received my ev100's and the fan isn't working. I flipped the switch on the bottom a few times and battery is charged. Any thoughts/advice?
+Darren Reeves you could take the top plate off and see if it has come unplugged. Past that I think it is a return. :-(

+PauL TerL I have no idea. :-). But my prescription in both eyes is -3 which is why I think I can see better in these than my Aomways. The diopters come in -2 and -4 and neither is quite right.
+Steve Fonger I am getting new glasses soon so I will get an extra prescription and see how much those are. I think I would be a lot happier with my commanders. They are good once I have them on for a minute and get focussed but the first minute is rough.

Thanks I’d appreciate it but I don’t think there’s a way to. Either way I love the goggles, I was afraid I wasn’t going to be satisfied with the FOV, which is small, but once I’m flying I got used to it right away! The DVR is a little cheap and confusing to remember all the button sequences for the menu and everything else I want is to do. I want to add a true dual receiver diversity module for my antennas. I saw somebody do the mod and I already have the module saved on Amazon waiting to be ordered. You should do a video for that mod as I think you could do a better job at explaining the antenna receiver diversity mod.

Well, I listened to reviews from the shills and splashed out on a set of these goggles, and take it from someone who isn't getting free stuff to review. They're crap!
I don't own Fatshark goggles. I wouldn't pay their ridiculous prices, but I do own a set of Eachine Goggles 2, which are vastly superior to these excuses for goggles.
How can he talk about how good they are when he's getting dropouts where the transmitter is just a few feet away?!?!?!?!
