    I'll stick with my furibee VR01. As a quick question about those: how come some goggles seem to fade to snow when signal is lost whereas mine seem to lose frame sync with even a mild amount of signal loss. It makes me have very little conference when flying at any distance.

    • @Kabab
      @Kabab  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +LazerLord10 it's just the way the receiver works. The snow is usually preferred

      @LazerLord10 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah. Maybe I just need to get more confident in flying blind for short amounts of time. It's not fun when it goes out of range and just makes a flickery image for 5 seconds as you try to bring it back, though. Super annoying.

    Thank you so much for the tear-down of these, even if you don't know what you're showing on the board, it's a huge value to those of us who like to know how moddable things are before we buy (or don't)
    Now, an EE's perspective, if anyone's curious:
    The USB port does look like it has its data pins connected to the main MCU, so in theory, firmware could be modded/upgraded, if they allow it. The header on the board you pointed out are programming pads, which means even if the USB is locked down, someone with the time and desire to do so could potentially program the main MCU with custom firmware. Sadly, all the numbers of important parts have been rubbed off, so it's hard to say what the ICs actually are without dedicating some time to going through datasheets. My bet would be on the large IC being some sort of DSP or dsp/mc hybrid like a dsPIC. It could also be some sort of off the shelf binocular LCD driver, but I would guess those aren't a common thing- I haven't had a pair of fat sharks or similar to look inside of, so I can't say for sure. There's also a smaller conventional MCU off to the right side, I would assume doing general housekeeping for the unit so the main processor can stick to pushing image data.
    As for modding in a 5808/laforge/trueD, it would be piss easy. That flat surface of the top would make a super easy place to mount a header, and you could easily print up a little shroud to keep everything safe and secure. feeding in video would be as simple as hacking into the video in connector, or if you're feeling more frisky, you could totally bypass the DSP circuitry(avoiding the non-removable OSD) and feed it straight to the LCD modules.
    I would love to have a go at hacking these, I think if they drop back down to 100 USD or a little more, they could make a good value proposition for a hacker who is willing to invest some time and money into making them work well. With a rx5808, a the OSD mod, and perhaps some sort of decent quality magnification for the displays, you could have a sub 200USD, very usable goggle setup.
    Just a real pity to me they didn't ditch the internal module, and focus the extra money on better optics/screens instead.
    Apologies if I just missed it, but did you notice how they handle 16:9 aspect ratio? Do they allow letterboxing or is it stretch only?
    Thanks for the interesting video Bob!

    • @Kabab
      @Kabab  7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Chris Tate thanks very much for that. I think we need some better optics first before anything else. without a better FOV, there's no point in going any farther. they don't letter box. just squash the image like Fatsharks. if they did letter box the picture would be even smaller! at $100 I would say it's a good hack proposition as long as the optics exist. the real wonder is why on earth these companies don't just hire the hackers to make a better product!?

      could you please try taking off the foam and see if getting your eyes closer to the screen improves the screen size

    The screen size comparison and mentioning screen sizes of the various Fatshark models killed it... This is what I came here for. I like 16:9, fly a box now and want to upgrade to box-less goggles. As someone who has never had the opportunity to wear and try box-less googles, you do a hell of a job showing and explaining the differences!

    As usual, your straight forward opinion has been most helpful. I've been waffling on these for a while, but seeing that you suggest a box goggle over these tells me that I was right to hold off. Let's hope that this starts a trend though of less expensive goggles...at some point one of the companies will work out the kinks and we'll have something decent for a reasonable price.

    AWESOME review! This is the way reviews should be done, bravo sir, bravo! Seriously this is the best review of the product and I wish you disassemble every other product you receive. The only thing I could wish for is a full tear down so I can see the LCD part # and maybe a macro shot of the VRx chipset. Also a macro lens would get a perfect screen view, but you did a great job anyway. Next Aomway Commanders?

      they brushed off ALL letters and numbers on any meaningful chip. Kinda dumb of them, anyone that knows what they're looking at could figure it out. I was gonna take apart a lens module but I just didn't have time to do it. Barely had time to do the review so quickly regardless. I also kinda gave up after realizing the FOV was so crappy.

    Thank you so much for the review! To me, the biggest Fatshark "killers" are used Fatshark goggles themselves -- you can get a fantastic deal on an excellent set in the classified ads on sites like RCGroups. That's how I've been able to afford using Fatsharks in the first place, and IMHO it's the best value you can get. That's my recommendation to anyone getting started (or looking to upgrade).

    You know you shouldnt have to apologize to these people who are watching your videos because you give an honest opinion of a product. you are 100% right if you buy quality the first time then you will receive quality the first time if you buy junk the first time you will receive junk the first time. I just don't understand why people act and get all upset over somebody giving their honest opinion that they're coming to their video to watch to get an opinion then the opinions not what they want so they get upset because they wanted to hear it's the greatest thing ever and then when you told the truth then you have to apologize to them for it.This pair of goggles are low performance but made to look like high end product, the build quality is very good the viewing preformance is lacking in the aspects of FOV.. it's lacking a lot.. the edge blurring pretty rough like you said but usable imho.. I do agree that I would take a 5in screen big box set then I would these... however the problem is once you fly a flagship set of goggles it is very hard to deal with budget sets and be happy with the preformance.. I own a set of market ready preproduction Dom HD3's that I was given for feedback reasons, and my set of Dom V3's that is my main goggles and what I fly with most i just like then better then the HD3's.. I also own a set of Aomway commanders that I was given for feedback reasons that I absolutely LOVE... now I can't compare these EV100's to any of them as they are all multiple times the cost of the EV100s.. So I have a set of Teleporter V5s that are 180 dollar goggles and the Ev100s are 150 at BG so that's close enough and I bought a set of Eachine VRD2 Pro 5 inch screen for 85 dollars on Ebay.. so I pitted the EV100s against the VRD2 Pros and the Teleporter v5s so ones 25 to 30 bucks more then the Ev100s and one is 60 to 70 cheaper.. the screen to me looks bigger on the V5s then the EV100s but the EV100s has better resolution then the V5s.. the 5.8ghz receiver on the V5s had better reception with noticablly less flickering when flying through planted pine trees rows here in florida.. to me the V5s are better by a fair bit, much much more flyable.. the 5 inch screen on the VrD2 is night and day better then the V5s and the EV100s, they really don't even compare, much larger FOV then either of them crisper around the edges and just all in all better... yes they are big and bulky BUT they aren't that heavy (the comfort level of the non box goggles are far superior in every way then the big box goggles.. there is no debating that fact) if you are coming from a big box goggle/screen and buy the EV100s you will love the way they feel on your face/head BUT you will be very let down preformance wise... that is a absolute fact, the 5 inch screens on the big box goggles blows the V5s out the water and the V5s are a lot better then the EV100s so that tells you right there how much trouble you are in if you buy the EV100s.. I'm very happy to see other reviewers agree with my findings and Mr. Floss agreeing with what I found makes me very happy so I know it's not just because I fly flagship quality goggles that it spoiled me and anything but the best now won't work for me... the VRD2s aren't anything close to a flagship quality goggles and I enjoyed flying then very much, other then comfort the VRD2 Pros are very good i mean I had no problem ripping hard in then and adjusted very quickly to the difference in video and FOV over my normal goggles.. budget compact goggles aren't there yet, the big box goggles are FAR superior to these 100 to 150ish dollar goggles imho... someone will release a proper set of low cost intro goggles sooner or later but as of now if your on a budget don't buy a cheap set of compact goggles as you are kinda wasting your money... buy you a nice 5 inch screen big box goggles with diversity for 60 to 90 bucks and fly them until you have saved up to you get a set of premium goggles and you will be happy, or just enjoy the 5in big box goggles you got as they will preform very good for you for a long time...honestly I like my Aomway Commanders very much, they are the number two goggles I would tell someone to get if they are looking for a high end set of goggles with number 1 being the Fatshark Dom V3s, I really do like the HD3s very much to, for some reason tho I prefer the V3s I really can't tell you why but I do, the video quality on the HD3s with my Runcam Eagle and Eagle 2s (I fly Eagle 1 and 2 on most of my quads, I do have a few Foxeer Monster and HS1177s laying around that I use here and there but I fly Eagle 2s on most of my quads and a few Eagle's.. The Eagle 2 is THE cam of right now IMHO) is slightly better with the HD3s over the Dom V3s.. I can only assume I prefer the V3s over my Hd3s just because that's what I fly the most.. I honestly can't tell you why like I said.. the slightly cheaper Commanders over the V3s is only like 40 or so dollars HOWEVER the Dom V3 need a must have upgrade with the Laforge V3 diversity module that runs 100 to 120 dollars.. the Commanders can be had for 310 to 320 usd.. the Dom V3s run 340 to 350 usd... then the Laforge V3 diversity unit is 100 to 120 bucks... so the V3s aren't really only 30 to 40 dollars more then the Commanders they are 130 to 150 dollars more because the Commanders have a FAR superior receiver out the box, V3s with a Laforge setup do out preform the Commanders and to me it's worth the 130 to 150 dollars more not so much for better video quality but rather the Laforge is rock solid video link and to me out performs any other receiver that I have tested and that is most of them... if I had to take a stock set of V3s or a set of Commanders that wouldn't even be a question of what I would take, it would be the Commanders hands down... the Laforge is what makes the V3s better then the Commanders, the Commanders have a VERY good diversity receiver in them, it swaps from receiver to receiver seamlessly and quickly.. something that can't be said about a lot of 5.8ghz diversity receivers out there.. anyhow I guess I got slightly off topic there... point of this long post is to absolutely confirm what Mr. FLOSS said.. he is absolutely correct with everything he said... maybe they should have not worried so much about making them look at feel like a 400 dollar pair of goggles (even tho it's nice to have something that looks and feels premium if the preformance isn't premium along with the look and feel then the product is a flop) cutting some cost of the looks and putting that cost in to preformance.. I know they have premium quality goggles to look at and see the screen preformance and they should have worked on getting the video preformance as close as they could to premium goggles and then worried about making them look and feel premium.. that would have made for a FAR better far more usable product.. rather they made something that people are going to buy to replace their big box goggles for a more comfortable pair and then fly them and before long they will be using their big box goggles and these will be put up because they can't fly these nearly as well as they can their big box goggles.. end result wasted money and pissed off customers... only only people that will be ok with these goggles are people that just got into fpv and this is their first pair of goggles and they have nothing to compare it to and they will think this is good until they try a nice pair of goggles or a 5 inch screen big box goggles then they will hate these.. it's a step in the right direction to bring a budget streamline pair of goggles to the market and they could have done worse that is for sure but they could have easily done much better.. as it sits this pair of goggles is not a value at 100 dollars, it's horrid at 150... I would say you got a deal on these at 50 to 55 dollars, even tho a 50 dollar big box goggles will out preform these.. 50 bucks is as much as I think they are worth because the preformance is so lacking.. rant over lol...

    • @Kabab
      @Kabab  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for that. Many people have called me a snob because I like the Dom V3 when in reality, as long as the screen view is comfortable I don't really care. As you said, there are mid level goggles out there that are fine and like you, I prefer the Dom V3 which is not the highest end pair, I just like the view better. I actually think the Commanders are the best goggle available right now. The fit and finish of the goggles is superior to my Dom V3 and the only thing it's lacking is the external Rx module but the built in one is as good as laforge or furious. The thing about the EV100 is that if they put a lens on it that gave a proper FOV, it would rival the highest end Dom HD view. The screen resolution is good, the picture is good, contrast and colors are good...the only thing the Dom HD would have over the EV100 is the DVR, external module and a little higher resolution (which really doesn't make much difference) and a little brighter backlight. So I'm gonna be giving away the goggles to someone that will make an effort to do something about the optics. I will also be giving away some other things to the same person as 'payment' for their efforts since I'm going to hold them to it. I'll try to make a video about this today if I get a chance. Everything about the EV100 is good except for the FOV and edge blurring. I think it's possible to mod and stick in a better performing lens but it will take some doing.

I have the vrd2 pros due to the fact I just got into the hobby and now am very addicted to flying but watching your review and telling it how it is made me feel much better just wish I could save up!! I love how you did state your experienced opinion and didn't over hype these! Thanks for telling us what THEY REALLY ARE... A decent first attempt that just missed the target. Yes, not hitting the bullseye, but also not hitting the DART BOARD! If you can't see clearly out of them, the screens are too small, and the field of view is only 28 degrees, are they truly worth owning? Isn't 28 degrees the least field of view (FOV) of any goggle on the market? Guys, listen to this man... He knows his shit! New and cheap and super hyped doesn't = GOOD!

    Have you tried those fatshark teleporter goggles that come in that really cheap kit? I've seen a lot of kids get into the hobby with those. They also are like looking at a tiny square a million miles away, but they're really cheap and people buy them all the time. I think the competition to this product is the Teleporter v5 or v4.

    im looking to get into racing, but motors are tripping me up. given that i use a floss or floss 2 and an emax magnum tower, and a tattu 1300 45c 4s, would 2307 hyperlites be a good option? would they kill my batteries too quick? Also, any other reccomendations? thanks, any help appreciated

    • @Kabab
      @Kabab  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      the 2307 is good. I personally like the 2207 more for racing. And honestly, the Aokfly 2306 2650kv is awesome. It's difficult to justify spending twice the price on motors but the more expensive stuff is definitely better. Hyperlite 2207 2522kv, ZMX FinX30 2207 2600kv, the Tmotor 2207 2600kv is where it's at. Sergio and I agree on this....and we fly everything...not to mention Luke Bannister agrees.

    I love how the cloner company Eachine scratched of the names of the MCU's to make it harder to clone their goggles :D
    I wonder how much the long and thin antenna cable will attenuate the signal of the second antenna.

      Seems like a proper shielded cable thing so attenuation should be minimal I'm guessing.

    Hi there from across the pond.
    Ev100 does not have proper diversity. If I had to take a T adaptor and put it on the antenna and put a clove and flat anntena on the one pole and leave the other blank would that increase the strength or break it. Please let me know.
    Thank you

    • @Kabab
      @Kabab  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      TheMascaras33 yeah I tried but my fatshark DVR wasn't having it. the screen brightness cuts in half and contrast goes out the window. it's just splitting the signal. not sure how it would be with an actual DVR only however because for my Fatsharks to work, it also needs to display on the screen.

      dutchRC also received today , it seems he tested external DVD : "a small update on my findings with the EV100's.. I have 4 of them here, which is offcourse unusual, but gives me (for a change) to see if 1 is better then the others.. I really can't see any difference in the screen's performance..
      I allso plugged in an external DVR, and apart from a small screen-glitch while plugging the DVR on, the screen stay the same..
      Screen size: yep.. it's pretty small (even with a PAL camera).. These won't be my next daily driver.. the focus (really crispy) does make up for the size a bit.. It's flyable, and work out better then box-style goggles (for me!)"

    • @Kabab

      Dashz these numbers are kinda misleading. the commander and Dom V3 are supposed to have the same fov but the commander is significantly larger when you compare. every manufacturer seems to use a different scale.

    • @Kabab
      @Kabab  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      it's not drastic but it's MUCH better. at least you can see the screens without blurring. Problem is that it's extremely uncomfortable and my nose is still in the way so I couldn't even wear a minimal faceplate version. If you have no nose, maybe it'll work out.

    I have the ev100 ordered out of curiosity. I have looked before as the relationship from 4:3 with 28 fov to 16:9 with 32 fov (my Aomway Commanders), in the theory is the difference of this both not very large, because 4:3 has more area in the relationship to 16:9! but when I saw the direct comparison, I was shocked how small the pictures of the ev100 are...

    • @Kabab

      I only recommend the Dom V3 or HD0 for a goggle. Not having a removable module is quite annoying and all the other low end options are not as good as cheap box goggles. The eachine ev800 or 900 (I forget the number) is a really good value and is definitely usable.

    Great overview Bob, but I think it's main downfall is the fact that it has only one receiver utilizing antenna switching, so it's not a true diversity setup. They have also increased the price from $99 dollars to around $160 dollars, which to myself isn't worth it due to lack of true diversity, no dvr, and the much smaller screens. Personally I'll stick to my Aomway Commander's and Eachine VR011 Super Transformable goggles that I recently did a TH-cam review on.

  • @jbofae

    Hey Bob....Jason Faenza here....i messaged you a few days ago about the mod to increase the field of view on the new evi 100 goggles. I can't seem to find that same video anymore so I apologize for messaging on a different one but I have changed my TH-cam name two Yaw Crazy. I was just curious if some of those new mods videos helped out? Or if you were able to find some type of solution on your own? Let me know when you get time curious as to what kind of results you found. Also I had a question in relation to some suggestions. I noticed that you don't seem to be extremely fond of the pre-built racing quads like say the furibee fuutons or the B fights210s of the world. So if and when I was able to get the funds together to really dive into this I know your philosophy about transmitter first and simulators but what quads or what build elements would you suggest for a beginner but yet on somewhat of a budget. I would rather save a little bit longer van rush out and buy something and then be kicking myself in the ass in the months to come there after wishing I would have just waited and gone with something of better quality. I understand you're a busy man and I appreciate the time you take to answer inquiries I'll look forward to any input you may have thank you a ton oh if you get time you should go over to my TH-cam channel and check out I did a short little video at my cousin's place you can see some first-hand how bad Florida took it on the nose it's pretty impressive stuff man. Hi! Thank for the review. Coming from a box google user. I think this will be worth it. Its a pain the a... to carry around the box style. They are selling dvr for this google for 15$ and i think the price will most likely be 100$ because the demand is so high right now they just jack the price up. 8000+ preordered. They already sell that dvr. I have it and after updating the software, it works great.
    Try with the goggles to power first the quad and than the goggles and see if it still crops the image. I noticed with the eachine dvr that it does that but as you forst put on the quad and than the dvr, than it takes the image the right way and than it does not care if it is 16:9 or 4:3.
    I think that the dvr can even be build in the goggles. It has a part where you can connect it to a fc or own buttons. That way you can control it on a plane or quad or with external buttons that you can place where you want. Just solder the video and audio in on the vtx.

Aside from the fact that the screen is to small to fly with I was also seeing double, I couldn't get ride of it even though my IPD is within tolerance. Kabab FPV, thanks for doing such great work. Im always impressed with your attention to detail, so please don't stop. I know these EV100's are on sale right now, but the normal price is $350 which is outrageous considering the fact that it doesn't even have diversity and built-in DVR. Once I saw that, I immediately gave these things a fail. I'll admit that I really like the design, but that's it.

      Xudus FPV looking forward to the top sky. only thing I wish it wasn't black or red. white or otherwise a light color is the only color for goggles in the hot sun. the reception on the eachine is surprisingly good. pretty close to equal compared to furious V3

      Xudus FPV yeah I think those are the ones linked in my description. that's what's coming to me as soon as they are released. I have quanum v2 pro goggles and I haven't tried any other goggles ever so I can't imagine how big the screen actually is, because I don't have another point of comparison. Based on what you said (going from box goggles to dominators and then to these) I'm starting to think about refunding them because there is no point in buying a pair of goggles that you won't feel comfortable flying... please help me out on this.

    • @Mantarr1
      @Mantarr1 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I still used my quanum v2 pro box goggles until very recently. With a good diversity receiver these are great. No way I was going to pay for fatshark ripoff prices, so I waited and waited for a competitor. Everyone laughed at my quanum's but they work really well. I knew the EV100 was coming out and at $99 was so tempting to pre-order. However luckily the Aomway Commanders had excellent reviews even though it was impossible to get your hands on a pair. Eachine generally make low quality stuff so I was wary of getting their goggles unreviewed. I am so happy with my Commanders, big investment but they work great with new antennas. Highly recommended. Still I cant work out why UAVfutures and Bob here can give such different reviews, Stu talks everything up it seems no wonder he got his EV100 for review early... I think Bob here will be off Eachine's christmas card list forever for being so brutally honest.

    oh yes and the new topsky goggles - they look perfect- they could get a decent review from my channel just from the specs :) on paper it looks like they make just everything right. even the fatshark module bay! cant wait to see your review!

    Try pressing and holding both the channel up and down buttons at the same time to turn off the OSD.

    If I didn't already own the Dominator SEs I'd be using the code 'doit' and getting $89 AUD off the Attitude V4s on banggood right now. The SEs are almost identical specs to the V4s except the FOV is 52 degrees whilst the V4s are 38 ... I believe. Not sure I could ever comfortably go down to what the V4s offer, let alone the EV100s.

    I am responsible for them being manufactured in the color white, what do you guys think about them?

    • @Kabab
      @Kabab  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      ZEBRUH FPV white is required. black or dark colors should never be used on a product intended to be used in bright sun.

    It isn't a balance lead, is a power lead of the DVR for this goggle released by Eachine that's is sold separately.

    Holy cow they scrubbed all the markings off of the chips. Interesting... After seeing your video and a couple of others, I decided to cancel my order of two pair.
    I really appreciate the internal look at the device and especially a good look at the eyepiece. My VR D2s live on! Really, the FOV looks like the 'screen down a corridor' view that my no-name "personal cinema glasses" that were my first FPV experience had. The VR D2s strain my eyes a tiny bit, but the image is nice and big and pretty immersive. And I already have my own pair of 'screen down a corridor' goggles.

    press the up and down button at the same time to take the channel and battery off the screen. press them again to make to the channel and battery reappear. the usb cable is for charging the battery and updating firmware on the goggles.

    Finding an entry level pair of googles is too hard! Frustration level over 9000. What do you recommend?

    • @Kabab
      @Kabab  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I still recommend the Dom V3 over all else right now with the HDO in second place. None of the other HD's have good optics to me. Not even good, just adequate. That's what the V3 and HDO have. That being said, there is one goggle project that's in the works. Maybe a release date in six months? Also, as a beginner pair, I'm shocked to say that Topsky might have the best option. They have a $100 pair you'll find on Albert Kim's channel. I've got a pair on the way as well. I haven't used it but I was impressed with what it looked like. The biggest issue might be an enormous FOV...

    • @Kabab
      @Kabab  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I started off that last response with Dom V3 and HDO because it's probably more worth just investing in a good pair up front than re-spending in the future. My Dom V3 are over 3yrs old and they're still the best option on the market IMO...but I also understand the desire to keep it cost effective at the beginning while you start your addiction :-D

    Is the fov specs wrong or is there that big of a difference from 28° to 30° fov?

    • @Kabab
      @Kabab  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Marquis Hubbard these numbers are somewhat meaningless. the commander and Dom V3 are supposed to be the same fov but the commander is significantly larger when you compare side by side

    Can somebody help me, i wanted to go for a Eachine OTG Phone receiver, turns out it's around 100MS latency.
    Looked at this EV100, turns out to be small as fuck... Now looking at Aomway because for 220 it apparently is amazing.
    But i need to know if there is a cheaper option, i need low latency monitor instead of goggles.

    • @Kabab
      @Kabab  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The cheapest good option is the Eachine ev800 I believe. It's sold several several thousands on banggood. I believe it's $45? It's a box goggle but you won't find a better goggle deal anywhere. Otherwise I'd wait doe the orq1 goggles however they will likely be about $700

    I've never tried the Dom v3's, tried the hd's, hated them. I started flying with fat shark attitudes, then quanum v2's, got some attitude v3's, but just could not go back to the smaller FOV. Purchased headplay SE's and love those things. Best fit of any box goggle i've tried. Now i can't go back to the smaller FOV of the quanums. bigger is better.

      Kabab FPV lens system is made by oriscape. They can be purchased on ali express. I wont know exactly which model will fit until I get my ev100 in hand. You can buy the screens with video controller attached or just the screens alone. Screens alone are much cheaper than buying the assembly. Ill add a link here to get you in the general area of where you need to be. Those of you with the goggles already will be able to find the screen before I do.

    This is not an upgraded version of Fatshark. It is an usable pairs that easy on pocket for beginner. Then they will decide later to pay 4 times more expensive or not. We never have this kind of option before. It used to be 300$ to 500$ for beginner or go another way round buying box goggle.

    • @Kabab
      @Kabab  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kriengsak Wangdulyakiti I would recommend box goggles that are 1/5th the price over these just because of the crazy small FOV.

  • @SuperFlaqs
    @SuperFlaqs 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have been using these now as of October last year, first i thought, Damn that screen is small and the blackouts etc from the first batch. Fixed all of them and then it was better.
    Overall after 6 month of regular usage, all i can say is.. damn these are sweet for the price and i have become so used to this small screen. When i am focusing on the screen, i really do not notice it being small anymore at all. I come from Box googles that had a huge screen and it was so hard to fly for 3+ minutes with the big screen as my eyes started to hurt. With these, i can cruise for 10+ minutes without issues.
    Regarding the OSD, yes, it chops the screen but you can adjust that as well as symbol size in Betaflight and make them super huge if you need, 1 size bigger is already enough for me. Also did the Drone Mesh mod with external module, using that when i do some further flights with my 2500mah battery and it works just like a charm. Overall consider me as crazy but i like these EV100 as my first fatshark type goggles.
    Planning to upgrade to Flysight Falcon but definitely keeping these as a backup or for my GF when she wants to have a nice scenery.

    • @Kabab
      @Kabab  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have heard so far only good things about the Falcon goggles. Not sure if there is anything going to be released for similar price category. Also i like that i can power the Falcon goggles with a 4s battery and no need for a 7.4v battery.
