    I would love to live right in the middle of a bamboo grove so stunningly beautiful and calming. I think it would do wonders for my anger and anxiety issues.❤

    I love the smell of fresh cut bamboo. Sort of a spicy, aromatic smell.

    Would this be an invasive?

    • @mlindsay527
      @mlindsay527 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Best way I have heard it described is that it is “locally invasive”. As in that it will dominate an area and exclude most other native species. However, it does not really have the ability to relocate itself outside of where it is planted, so it stops short of a true invasive plant. I grow bamboo as a farm crop and I would not recommend the running varieties for urban/suburban landscaping purposes. If clumping varieties grow in your area they are perfectly fine.

      People put a 25 to 30 inch plastic bamboo barrier in the ground to stop the ryzomes from spreading

      Bamboo can be used for a lot of things. Kudzu can't. And I'd rather have both than our invasive native poison ivy.

      People who dislike bamboo have real issues. They're often criminals, rapists or general psychopaths. When someone doesn't enjoy bamboo there's definitely something wrong with them. The Nazis didn't plant a single bamboo stem back in the 40s.
