As an American having served with Australians, I’m glad we’re friends. Warriors through and through!

A correction is in order for the official language of the US. While English is most prevalent, there is no official language in "America".

True, but English is well known to be the dominant and preferred language.

Although the USA does not have an "official language, all of the founding documents and legislation and court decisions are written in English. This follows the universal idea which the predominant language is used for all government documents - ie in France they use French, Germany uses German, Japan uses Japanese.

It's never been declared or made legally official; but in practice, English is the sole language of government.

@@jonadabtheunsightly Yeah they should just make it the official language, immigrants should learn the language (make it necessary), much easier to do business, and they could make more money if they knew english anyway.

I think topography is the reason Australia has so many fewer in population. Of course I’ve never seen all of Australia (film only), but it looks unwelcoming. When I think of Australia (other than you, Lyle), the top three things that come to mind are it’s hot, the soil is red and barren, and there are way too many venomous critters. Another odd thing is that Aussies seem to pay rent by the week instead of by the month (I watched a number of videos on poverty in Australia). Y’all probably live longer because you have “free” medical care. Medical debt is the number one cause of bankruptcy in the states. In general, though, people are people.

I think it's a tossup about which of us speaks something closer to English.

You said something that piqued my curiosity you mentioned Aussie Rules versus Rugby I didn’t know that there was a difference I have always thought it was the same

We have rugby league, rugby union and Aussie rules.

They're historically related. American football is also historically descended from rugby, albeit with significant rule changes (many of which were made in the nineteenth century, to cut down on the number of fatalities suffered by college players).

The US is 3.809 million square miles or 9.867 million square km in total area. The 3.532 million square miles number is land area only.

America doesn't have an official language, due to all the immigration, we don't like to foist English on those coming in. You can take your driver's license test in one of about 19 languages.
Not sure how they got that one wrong, but makes you wonder what else they go wrong. Your coat of arms is way way better! Love the Emu. My favorite movie is an Australian one, Muriel's Wedding. I've seen it about 100 times, I'd love to visit Australia!
