Bro, I am so thankful you made this video! For a little bit into my new store, I'm only 2.5 weeks in btw, I had the mentality,"If an item has a good S.T.R, surely it's always a good thing." but I forgot one thing: The items I were selling didn't make much profit, aka while I'd buy something for $2, it would only sell for $5-10 and I'd pay shipping. Even though those items had good S.T.R, I was making literally nothing. Since I watched this video, my mentality has shifted and my profits are starting to turn around. Much appreciated, my guy! 4:56 is where the gold is
Hey David, just fyi - you probably already know this but in case others do not. If you offer 1 day shipping and print the labels/upload tracking within 24 hours eBay will not ding your shipment rate unless the item arrives after the estimated delivery date eBay provides. So sometimes you can get away with shipping within 2-3 days if your carrier delivers quickly. Of course this totally depends on the carrier/service you provide but it does give you a bit of leeway. An option you can do to trick the system is select a slow standard shipping service with lengthy estimated delivery days and then ship with a quicker service. Appreciate the videos and best of luck David
I ship same day as I set my storage visit to 11am to midday, my clothes are prepacked and the sku consists of weight too so I can print off my shipping labels before I go to my unit, the slap and ship an off to my mail store which is 150 yards from my unit, i can choose slower shipping but starting the same day is a head start.
You are the most sensible reseller I’ve run across on TH-cam. I’ve only been doing this, on eBay, for 2 months and in that amount of time, I can see exactly what you’re saying. You’ve helped me have a very successful first 2 months, over $3500 in sells. It stopped 2 days ago but I feel it’s just the holiday, people are busy. Everyone will be spending their Christmas money starting the next few days. I just listed about 45 new items. I’ve hooked up with an amazing estate sale company…the deals I’m getting are awesome, then they give me a good discount on top of that. Hope you and your family have a wonderful, joyous Christmas. I’m so thankful for you and your channel! 🎄
6 months in. Staying on my books is my biggest trade off between listing and doing the books. The books have been loosing out. Throwing a hour a day into bookkeeping which is 2 hours to playcatchup currently. Getting those numbers in the system and paper filed away is my biggest current hurdle. Double down in that dedication. I also have like 7000 30-70% nets to get up that I once again just need to dedicate to throwing 40 up on the weekends and 2 to 3 on my work days.
Im a ~$100K p/y seller, mostly physical media, pacing for $200K to end for 2025. I made my youtube a few weeks ago to explain that media sells fast and the way i do it.
Some of that advice I have to follow, I do this part time, but I would like to expand to full time, hopefully 2025 is a better year! Happy holidays bro! 🦅🦅🦅💪🏽
Test stations can help a lot..long table for vds with th3 screening wires ready, lingers with the paper and. horde of inks in your chosen series..batteries ready, et.i ca. test and have online in two hours for an item sometimes I have fixed things which just needed a new mini belt and I have a selection and turned a $2 broken item to an excellent pre owned $90 item.
you could buy a duplex then rent one side out, buy it cash then leverage it for the business..the rich might have fancy homes bht if they do pay cash they use it as collateral fkr loans for their investments...that's why when they fail it implodes...but as they grow they always pave the road ahead and don't wait for it to be built for them.
I'm in year 2 of eBay. I need to do better at book keeping and tracking expenses. Also need to stop impulse buying and only focus on the items that sell.
I do a 1:10 ratio. $1 in I should NET close $10 - a $20 media sale covers that (though I sell $12-$15 bread N butter disc media because it's still $5 net).
one day shipping has a cut off. just set it for 5am ship all items every morning like all sellers and your good. Your full time, got to raise the bar. Your trying to get to that next level, have to be the best or at least as good as the top sellers And your suppose to be paying quarterly, get a cpa and do it right, it will save you money
I don’t have to raise any bar, I do eBay to cater to my lifestyle and how I want to do it, that’s the beauty of eBay, my friend just did $700k this year and he does his shipping at 10pm and wakes up at noon, has 3 day shipping, there’s no one way to do it bro
@@Activeapparelzone yeah no prob. Can do it any way anyone wishes. Just was giving advice to get to that next level. I know u been grinding a few years. I'm on year 26. Sales at 8-9 a year. Was just advising. No prob
u lose ebay 10% seller discount by not shipping within 1 day. also your search ranking for that item drops significantly. no excuse to not ship within a day if you are a serious seller and have your inventory system in place to be able to pull items quickly.
I have been selling on eBay for over 10years and normally have 3day handling time with 2-5Business day USPS Ground. Now I don’t really get into the details but what you said has sparked my interest. Are you saying that eBay lowers seller fees if you have 1day handling time? most of my orders ship next day so this would increase profits massively for me! (If my fees drop to an average of %10 and not %12.5 then will save around $2,500 a month
@@AhmadMoneyit’s 10% off total seller fee, not 10% selling fee. Example, you sell $20, eBay takes 15% or $3. Handling time 1 day gets you 10% off $3 so your selling fee on $20 is $2.70 not $3. You also need to maintain certain other metrics to get 10% off such as low defect rate and certain sales volume.
@@Activeapparelzoneyou make good videos but promoting 3 day handling time for a full time seller is inexcusable. Casual sellers do 3 day handling time. Serious and larger sellers do 1 day handling time to take advantage of listing placements and 10% off selling fee. Look at the big sellers, you won’t find one that doesn’t do 1 day handling time and more.
How do you deal with electronic returns? Ive had a bad experience on ebay with this before. Even if you put all sales are final. Ebay always take side of the buyers. I stopped selling on ebay because of that.
HI I HAVE A QUESTION MY LIMIT FREE TO EBAY IS 250 ITEMS BUT THEY JUST LET ME TO PUT 9 ITEMS COST EACH ABOUT BEETWEEN 35 DOLLARS I DON'T WHAT HAPPEND PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHY????
I'm confused. You said on clothing you will spend $5 to make $30 with a 50% sell thru rate, shoes spend $5 to make $35, electronics $8 to make $80. But then you said you would spend $40 to make $100 if it sells within a week otherwise you would spend $30. That is 2.5 times your money if it sells in a week and 3.3 times your money if it takes longer. So what is the criteria you use to make smaller margins than the 6 to 10 times your money when there is a 50% sell thru rate.
Its clear to me when I spend more money on an item the faster I expect it to sell. Additionally I need to make a good amount more. I personally would pay 40 to sell for 100, but it had better go within a few days if not same day. Depending on size of item of course
You are young, take that extra money and invest it into Roth IRA and Index funds. Please research this and realize you will not have to work so hard as the money snowballs 20 years from now.
lol 850k sales in 4 years? You must not be making much % profit . Worried about $30 food for workers lol….what kind of life is that. You gonna be able to buy Starbucks when you 60? 🤣

There’s only one way to start and that’s from scratch! Give it a try
What should You Look out for buying if You are absolutely new to This? Shirts, Jeans, shoes ..specific Brands?
I have a video on 35 things to look for! Search up David pelayo bolo video!
