Our First Look At Disney's Food & Wine Festival At EPCOT! | Taste Tests & Food Reviews!

- In today's vlog we head over to Walt Disney World's EPCOT for our very first visit to the International Food & Wine Festival 2018! We started our day by getting a preloaded giftcard with the amount that we wanted to spend so we could stay on budget. It's very easy to over spend at these types of events (we ended up only spending about half so we'll bring that card back on our next trip). Then we started going around the World Showcase counter clockwise to try to beat some of the crowds and it immediately started raining lol, but that's okay it ended pretty soon after. We had lots of food on our trip around the world (showcase) and we had fun trying everything, even the things we weren't totally impressed by were fun to try. We did miss some booths on our way out so we'll be making another trip soon for sure! Is there anything we need to try next time? Let us know in the comments below! Glad you guys had a good time! I sold you the gift card and wanted to tell you how much I love your videos and would have loved to be able to talk to you guys longer but you saw my line lol. Also the strawberry symbol is for more kid friendly options!! and for your passholder cutting board you just have to come 4 days during the festival but they don’t have to be in a row! Your comment about the brisket seeming being at every booth reminds me of that Simpson’s episode where they go to a food festival, order very different items from different booths and they cut to a shot of meat being slopped out of one pot onto plates and sent to the booths.

One of the strawberry marked dishes in Italy had a Vodka sauce so I don’t think that was made for kids

The bakery kiosk in Norway is closed because the regular bakery reopened on Saturday
The little strawberry next to the food description means it's kid friendly, dishes designed with kids in mind 😀

Just don't come in summer and you'll hit a festival for sure. Personally Festival of the Arts is better to me. Food and wine is overrated.
I really enjoy the Flower and Garden festival in the spring. If you hit it just right (end of April/beginning of May) you miss the spring break crowds and get some nice weather.

YAAAYYY! The tropical storms are always bad in September and October which sucks because that’s when all the festivals and parties happen. But all the Non Floridians leave so its empty 😂 They run like the rains gonna kill them.

Coco is in my opinion the best Disney movie of this decade. It was so deeply moving; it made me think a lot about my own life and family. Also the music and the art were so beautiful, and the best-crafted villain in recent years.

The phosphorus drink in the light lab you do get to keep the beaker I think its close to 32oz also.

Dolphinmomcca1717 with how big the world pavilion is, by the time you walk to a booth you want to eat at, you kind of make room. You’re definitely too full near the end to eat some that you like. If you can go more than once it would be better, or just having friends with you to share, so you can sample more stuff than just doing it yourself
when i was younger, i loved the "bite of" weekend events, and especially, "bumbershoot", around seattle here. as i've gotten older, crowds bug the heck out of me. disney is crowded enough without layering on more reasons for lines
Wow! We went about 20 years ago to food and wine. It really has grown. When we went there weren't many choices. Epcot wasn't crowded at all. Thanks for sharing!

God, how I love Food and Wine Festival. I would likely time my next visit to WDW (the first in 20 years) to coincide JUST so I could go.

When I worked Food and Wine in 2013 (Disney College Program!), the signs for the "marketplaces" did open up and contained utensils, napkins, & other things we might need quickly! They weren't refrigerated 5 years ago, but interested to know if they are now! I mostly worked at Brewer's Collection (AKA the beer booth) over by Germany and I know the food for Germany's marketplace was prepped inside Germany's actual kitchen before it was brought out to cook and/or serve.
I get the Pork Slider every year as well, it has always been my favorite. It was the first food item I ever got at Food and Wine

Living vicariously through you guys this year! I usually go every year for my birthday ever since I turned 21 but my uncle who has worked at disney for 30+ years unfortunately was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and is now unable to work and he was always gives me his tickets. I'll be sure to save up to go next year, food and wine is always a great time, enjoy!

Boba pearls are what is used in bubble tea. They are tapioca spheres that you eat when you drink your drink. They float in the bottom of your drink and are usually flavored.
You literally ate your body weight in braised beef and sausage 😂 I would be all about the desserts. I could definitely eat all of them!

I went to Food and Wine when I was on my international college program in 2016 and my absolute fave was the crispy pork belly at Brazil! So beautiful!
Just want to take a minute and thank both of you for your videos. It helps us keep the magic while we are not there. In addition to being there for 10 days just after Thanksgiving, we will be there January - March at an RV resort 4 miles away. You give us many ideas of other things to see and do while we are there. Thank again for all your hard work.

Drinking the signature drink at every country around world showcase, bonus point if you can watch the fireworks stood up without falling over. But I know there are challenges that involve eating everything and both eating and drinking everything but I’ve only ever tried the drinking challenge, completed it when it was only the 11 country’s, failed during food and wine...
Lol, the blue champagne was BOGO at Publix recently so a bottle cost less than the light lab drink.
The Disney Food Blog tries everything on the first day, including drinks, but I think it’s a good sized group. So it can be done, but it’ll be expensive and a lot of food! Thanks for another great video!

I’m glad you all went and showed what is there this year. We are heading down there in 3.5 weeks. Last time I went 5 years ago I went around the same time as food & wine, but didn’t get to do anything bc it was sooo crowded! This time we are bringing our 2 year old, doing MNSSHP(!!!) and def gonna take an adult night while the grandparents watch the grands and go to food & wine! So excited!!! Love your vids and your honest reviews! :)

Trying everything is definitely a challenge. I tried to do myself for the Flower Garden and it took several visits! Heeey I love the mint pesto lamb !!
The Mexican booth was so great! The Spain pop-up booth also has a wine flight for $5.50 that gives you 3 different wines which was great! The paella was good too but definitely not a true paella with sticky rice. It was more of a seasoned rice...but still good!
I love when yall show these amazing foods! Always makes me hungry! If only the price to portions was better but still looks like a wonderful event or you two just make it look wonderful!!

YAY FOOD AND WINE VLOG! I love this festival, thank you for taking us with you! Also, i'm brazilian and that pão de queijo (brazilian cheese bread) is delicious. If you ever get the chance to try it, i would highly recommend.
Last year my husband and I went to Universal Studios for the Wizarding World and Magic Kingdom and Epcot for our honeymoon. We were lucky enough that our honeymoon happened to be during the food and wine festival yet we didn’t try anything because the heat made us not hungry. Watching this video brings back so many amazing memories for me and it does not seem like it is already time for Food and Wine. Our first anniversary is September 23! Doesn’t seem like it’s already been a year!

Just to let you both know, the shrimp sauce on the Beef Nigiri doesn’t actually taste like shrimp at all - it’s just the sauce that people usually dip shrimp into! We call it Thousand Island Dressing here in the UK, in which we use it in a dish called Prawn Cocktail, and the sauce is usually called Yum Yum Sauce in Japanese Hibachi. Its 2 main ingredients primarily consist of mayonnaise and tomato ketchup, and it tastes delicious! I’d highly recommend the Beef Nigiri; it was amazing! 😍🍣 Fantastic video, as per usual - absolutely love your channel! My partner and I ate so much around the world on the first day of F&W... I swear we were going food drunk! 🤪😂😋 Can’t wait to see more great content from you guys - have a magical day! ✨
