Just showed this to my nephew, who's learning about the "glockenspiel" in school.
    Thank you, from America.

Overrated? Maybe to you. As kids, we used to time our excursions to downtown just to make sure we could watch this show. We marveled at it and never tired of seeing it.

I believe the comment was in relationship to tourism. I know I personally wouldn't cross the sea just to watch this. In that respect yes, perhaps it is overblown. Can't compare it to childhood reverie

I'm taking my 12 year olds soon and this is on my list. I am sure I saw it as a small child. I remember everything in Germany enchanted me the 2.5 years we lived there. But my kids...I hope they don't ho-hum it.

My aunt, grandmother, cousin and I are working on planning a trip to Europe. Munich is on our list of places to visit, and this is on my sightseeing list. I saw this on Rick Steves Europe a while back

Just saw this. It was an incredible coincidence because I wasn't aware of it but it just so happened I was exiting the underground right as it hit 11. Such an awesome sight

    I think it's a bit out-of-tune, or perhaps it's old WWII bomb-damage!?! *_:D_*
