things like that just happened as common back in the old age ranging from EU to Asia, above 13 are like marriage age. Happened to my great-grandfather/mother as well. Toward the modern era, studies from both psychology and biology determine it would be the best for 18 and above. If people felt weird about it bcoz they used modern perspective to watch/ read, it would probably mean they fed too much craps from modern media and skipped history and literature classes at school.
