  • In this video, I’ll be explaining all 20+ Affinity Designer tools and uses, along with a brief demonstration of how they work. Version 2 of Affinity Designer has much more to offer than just the tools located in its toolbar, but this tutorial should serve as a good starting point.

Man Serif really needs to step up their game. v2 is barely an upgrade over v1, all the more advanced options that professionals been asking are nowhere to be seen. After years with designer, I might revert to illustrator, due to stagnation

I am a total beginner with AD. I’m using it to manipulate digital sewing patterns, to prepare them to project them onto fabric and cut the pieces out. I have watched sewing-related tutorials about how to do this or that with AD, and they mention the tool they are using, but rarely say how to find it. So this video was a huge help! Thank you for being willing to teach such a basic thing.

Hello. You are wrong about vector brushes. If you draw something with a vector brush, and then go into the layers, then you will see that it says Curve, not Pixel. So what the vector brush draws is a vector object

I'm sorry, but I have a very hard time understanding this presentation for a few reasons. It goes very quickly, the presenter speaks very quickly, and I can't understand everything that is said because of his accent. His English is good, but the accent is too strong for me. Since I can assume is Affinity software available to an international market, perhaps Affinity could offer tutorials with an option to select a language for the presentation. As a side note, I have been working in graphics programs since the advent of personal computers in the design field: Pagemaker, Freehand, Quark Espress, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, PhotoShop, etc., so this isn't my first attempt at adopting a graphics program.

I was self taught (vinylmaster) then Affinity and been here ever since, but your statement towards the end about not showing this first time "student", learn as you "need"!!! One caveat to this is I find myself wanting to do a certain "task", only problem is a newer user (myself included might not be familiar with all the right phrases to bring up a good search and resulting video! One in particular for me was "embedded" doc's,.......Thanks for a great video. I'm looking forward to setting up my workspace the almost the same as this, there was a different one that I saw and was like I HAVE TO HAVE!!!!

Why sometimes with two figures side by side is there still a white thread? Yet there are no edges. As if it were a numerical precision problem in vector calculus
