Motion controls take time to learn, so if someone is only playing for a small amount of time, learning how to use them may not be worth it, but if someone plans to spend time playing, then they should absolutely learn motion
@@raviolinoob4435 Motion doesn't have too much of a learning curve, there's a reason valve just throws you into the deep end in first party games on deck

As someone who has played Splatoon for 7 or 8 years, use motion controls. Everyone sleeps on motion controls. They are like the mouse of controllers: precise and fast when you need them to be. Someone sneak up behind you? A quick flick and they are now in front of you. Need to hit several shots in a row from a distance? A slow, sweeping motion will provide all the precision you need.
Edit: Side note, this game has 0 aim assist of any kind. You have to be godly at sticks to keep up with any moderately good motion player. You can still have fun playing with sticks, but if you want to really improve, the learning curve of motion is well worth it.

I compare a lot of things from Splatoon 3 to COD a lot. I call splashtags calling cards and I once compared the Glooga Dualies to Akimbo Deagles at one point.
The little sister introduced her older brother who plays COD into the world of Splatoon and he did not enjoy himself too much. I am sure after a few hours / sessions he will enjoy Splatoon.
COD and splatoon are SO DIFFERENT especially the motion controls > analog controls part

I feel like the dissolving in water thing is just a gameplay mechanic because when you jump onto the net behind spawn on mako mart your inkling dissolves in the same way and it's not like they're allergic to nets. Plus it would be a little insane if you were playing football or something and one of the players falls into a pool of lava that was just right next to the pitch for some reason and then nobody is even phased by the fact they died.
