This is a 1982 Porsche 911 SC, still looking fantastic in Mocha Brown with a black interior. This 911 SC has a 3.0L flat-six engine with just 201hp but this is a little car with plenty of attitude and a recently refreshed G50 transmission with perfect ratios. The 911 SC was a wonderful car back in the day and an example like this one that has been lovingly maintained is proof that these cars hold up very well after 40 plus years on the road.

I didn’t think the g50 box came into until the 3.2, with the 915 for a 1982 SC. I bought one a few months ago, absolutely love it.

My first Porsche, was a 1978 911sc. I was only 17, but my friends dad trusted me enough to take out for a spin. I will never forget that moment!!!

This was another great video, Zack. Not just because of the car, but also because of your infectious passion. Every time I get close to selling my ‘87 Cab (just offer $45 - despite not for sale, yet) ... you put out a video and I reconsider. Thanks for confusing me again.

I got a 82 Sc targa about 6 moths ago that was kind of neglected and its just now in reliable running shape and I absolutely love the car! Its my first ever sports car and I couldn't be happier with me decision, Its by no means the fastest thing in the world. But with my new exhaust and the shop advanced the ignition by a few degrees the car has plenty of get up and go to be fun without being dangerous. My biggest complaint was the stock shifter, second gear is a pain in the ass sometime and I would struggle sometimes to get second gear to stick. But the shop I go to told me its a fairly common complaint and I am now getting an aftermarket shifter that should fix the problem and I can not wait! once this annoyance is resolved I dont know if any car will be able to compete in terms of enjoyment for dollar. In total after initial purchase and work done I think im just a tad over 40K into it. 40K buy a lot of things that are faster but they dont have the same mechanical feel that the SC has and nothing looks nearly as good in my opinion. I have people talk to me almost every time I stop for gas. And I have no plans to sell it any time soon but it is nice to know that the market even before this weird bubble we are in was trending upwards on these. It makes me feel less bad when I put money into it knowing while I might not make money on it I will most likely not lose money on it either. I highly HIGHLY recommend that anyone who is seriously considering buying one to do it! In 10 years I dont think there will be many left and the ones that are are going to be around will be worth a lot more then they are today. Only thing I will say is find a reliable shop that has experience working on them and make sure its a shop you can trust before buying one!

That story about your first time driving a 911SC is great! I myself had a very similar experience. I was a valet at Ryan's Parking which handled parking for Delaware Park which is also a horse track. I got to drive a lot of nice cars, albeit a very short distance, this was around 1985 or so. I've had my SC for 23 years and I'm very happy that I've held on to it. Great vid!

Jesus is the only way I thought it would never happen but right now I’m in the market for an air cooled porch again
