Absolute pussy cat, but would not want to get on his bad side. Collapsible batons, even the high end can't reliably thrust, they collapse, then your dealing with a yawara. I think there is a difference between hitting somebody with an ASP and a Hickory/Oak/Cocobolo, 24-26 x 1" nightstick (or saps/jacks). Canes, I fight the same with night stick sized sticks as I do with my cane, BAYONET! Canes are longer then ASPs or night sticks (like your Jo vs your cane), and hickory or oak hits harder, then ASP's. Cops should have never given up their sticks. Hitting people with long heavy wood puts an end to things faster, whether taking the fight out of somebody for arrest or saving your families or your life. Purpose built weapons are mostly all illegal, but Bo/Jo (hiking stick), cane (straight or crook top> Kali stick/night stick ;) ) Thoughts please? As always, thank you. Regards, Jim
