How cool you got it!!! I was telling my hubby, Ben that you won a bid and he asked me where the name Singer came from, which i didn't. He told me it started off by a Scottish man who immigrated in 1846 named George Ross McKenzie. When demand became great for these sewing machines, they set up a factor in Glasgow Scotland. There is a train station called "Singer" there. Congratulations!! I can't wait to see what you do with it! XOXO
Thanks T!!!❤ Yes!! These pretty little machines, (as many of the vintage Singers have) quite a history. I've wanted one of these for a few years, but have been seriously looking the past few months. Finally, I found one I really, really wanted. 😊 Thanks so much for watching, it means so much to me my dear friend❤
@@knittykatstudio I love watching your videos and I am so happy you found such a beauty!! The scroll-face is so elegant, so you! You have come so far and are so helpful in explaining everything. Even for us scaredy-kats! I love the LED light idea, to keep it all cool but give excellent lighting. And it works!! That sound!! I swear feelings come back from hearing that sound. All good and warm. I know you are going to make some gorgeous works of art. Congratulations again my dear friend. Thinking of you always! xoxo
Awww, thanks again, T. ❤️ You should grab a machine and give it a try. No need to be scared. It's so relaxing to sew...seriously! Even when I mess up and have get out the seam ripper, I just grab a cup of tea and have a seat. 😄 I usually learn by making mistakes in everything I do. Whether it's sewing, knitting or painting I've learned so much by jumping in and screwing up🤣 Thanks again for watching me as I try to work my way through the making of my channel. 🥰 Hugs!!
You're so right about the feet! Plus youtube videos showing how to use them. I'm sure Marcia treasures Grandma's Singer ❤️ These old machines are such a treasure. Thanks so much for watching! I think I need to come up with a name for her next...lol😁

I think Marcia has Aunt Norma's old Singer. I'll bet all the feet will be explained in your book. That is so cool to find a classic Singer.

My Pfaff is named Athena the godess of stitches.
@@bjkruse-ml4ov Oh my! That's a great name!
I'm still deciding on a name. I'm going to clean and work with her a bit. Maybe a name will come to me 😊
😂 So happy for you!!
Thanks Lily! 😃
