I'm sorry to point this out, but your background music is so loud, it's hard to hear you. It's totally unnecessary. Your voice is pleasant to listen to without the irritating background music. Please don't do that in your videos. Thanks. Always love your content.

I agree about the background music. I don’t know why this is such a trend to put music even in the background of teaching. it is not necessary. Is there a mindset that we have to be entertained or we will lose interest?! Come on now let’s get away from this soft living! We don’t have to be entertained like little children. If I click on a video that can teach me something I do not want the distraction of background music, please. Good information but the music is a detriment. And I’m a lover of music. ❤

Mayra, I am 80 years old this month (Jan 2025). I have been doing Carnivore to help maintain good health for the last two months. I have only lost 4 or 5 pounds but definitely feel the difference in how my clothes fit. I have read that when you are healing your body, you may not see much weight loss at all for awhile. When you are building muscle while burning fat as one does on Carnivore, you will not see much, if any, weight loss. I'm holding to this plan to rebuild muscle (particularly important for women as they age) and repair age-related issues. Also, hopefully, to heal thyroid issues of over 40 years. Much like you, I do a bit of "dirty carnivore". I've watched you off and on for years, am subscribed, and love your style. I'll be watching how things go with this new approach for both of us. It's great to have someone share their approach when it mirrors one's own!!

I’ve been carnivore for about 4 months. I’m down just over 50lb and don’t have cravings! I eat twice a day and, if I end up having a cheat day, I fast for 48 hours after to get back on track. It’s the only “diet” that has ever worked for me.
I’ve been overweight since middle school and I’m 47 now so this is amazing ❤️

@ I usually eat 3 soft boiled eggs with some cottage cheese around 2pm…for dinner at 5, I eat 3 scrambled eggs and 2 1/4lb hamburger patties with salt. Sometimes I’ll add a slice of cheese. I know it sounds boring lol but that’s what I crave now!

“Food can be more important than exercise”
    This is so true.
Lost over a hundred pounds on Keto in 9 months. No more diabetes.
Then I started hitting the gym. 15 minutes on the treadmill walking and about 20 minutes of weightlifting.
    Weekends off.
    Been almost four years now.

Exercise is not just for weight loss. Muscle building is very important especially as we get older. As you age exercise is good for your joints and helps them stay pliable and flexible. I wish people would stop saying you can reach your goal without exercise, of course you can. Are you physically healthy? You can loose weight and be too weak to pick up a 2lb dumbbell.

I have been keto for 6 years and over the last 2 years I have gotten too relaxed and eaten “bites” of sweets, chips etc and slowly about 15 pounds creeped back on, so decided to go back to the basics and day 6 in, I already feel so much better. Seasons change and so do we and it's always highly recomended in all areas of our lives that we re-evaluate what is working or not working, or needs to be tweaked, or needs to be kicked up a notch, it's good to be in tuned with our bodies and listen to what it's telling us that we need.

When I eat it’s eggs chicken burger steak. At 57 joint pain goes away. I have tons of energy. In the past I struggled with low energy also. It’s a great way to find out what your optimal diet is. Thank you

  • @Michelle-x5l
    @Michelle-x5l 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

Cool! Congratulations!! Proud of you!! Thank you for telling the world about this!
What you're describing "loosey goosey version of carnivore" is called ketovore, coined term by Neisha, Dr. Ken Berry's wife who still eats onion, garlic, ketchup, guacamole, etc like you. Carnivore ish is fine but I think that's a common term for it now. Or, at least, I've heard it a lot. Meat-based keto is another, but I've heard ketovore a lot, and carnivoreish, yeah. Way to go!! It sounds like it's really working for you!!
Personally I'm so glad I found out about the carnivore diet. I have been on it for 15 months! Most recently I switched to a specific , more strategic version called "no plant gaps diet" which is a more strategic version described in the amazing, famous book "gut and physiology syndrome" by Dr. Natasha Campbell Mcbride.
Basically she says the change is more meat stock, preparing it to be in a specific way: raw & meaty bones, not cooked leftover bones.. short time, not a long time... ex. 1 lb chicken drumsticks for 1.5 hours, or brisket/chuck roast/tritium roast and beef bones for 5 hours. It's done when the stuff can be ripped off the bones and the meat can be teared.
big bonus here: take the stuff you don't want to eat like skin, bone marrow, or jiggly bits stuck to the bones.. take that stuff off and put it in a blender. Puree it and strain it back in. OMG 5-6 cups of this per day and you'll be able to feel how dramatically better you feel. For me, I can feel my skin tightened when I wake up, and better sleep. For someone else it might be mood stability and peace and joy, or concentration benefits. Delicious and worth it!! It makes it creamy, so good! Salt, black peppercorns and lemon/vinegar help. If you want vegetables or spices, you do you! Add a few veggies, sure! I do mine plain and it's fine. The drumsticks turn out great every time.

For 6 weeks before the holidays I did a mix of keto/carnivore/fasting and I lost 25lbs and 4% body fat, ( I didn't workout either during those 6) I stopped for the holidays and my birthday month (December). I gained about 10lbs back because I was doing low carb/high protein but I had more cheat meals than normal because everyone spoiling me for my birthday, but I started back on track this week and started with keto/carnivore and ill work in fasting starting in February =) I lost almost 250lbs in 9 years naturally just doing high protein/low carb and having my cheat meals and dealing with 2 cancer scares and wrestling injuries over the years, but my doctor recommended keto/carnivore/fasting to get the last of my weight off and when all said and done i will have lost over 300lbs naturally =) Thanks for your videos they inspired me to make my own, always great knowing what you went through and what to expect in my journey, again thank you!

I've done both keto and carnivore (and ketovore, if you will- i can't adhere to the strict carnivore diet, either, bc this Mexican needs sabor as well 😅) I very much prefer the carnivore diet due to the lack of cravings, clarity of mind and lack of joint pain and inflammation. My mom has been doing a stricter ketovore for 3 years and she has lost 80lbs and reversed her Type 2 diabetes, hypertension, non-alcoholic fatty liver and much more at 72!
I'm 52 and my body responds VERY well to the diet. My flesh is weak and I have been eating my feelings, so I'm about to get back on it and I've started working out super regularly again.
I refuse to let my body determine my quality of life bc I don't take care of it. As a photographer, I need to be able to get on and off the ground and in weird positions to get my shots! The ketovore diet keeps my joints from screaming when I do all that! 🤣 Thank you for your inspiration!! 🫶🏽

I have a protein shake for my mid morning breakfast, then a hamburger with a slice of cheese for lunch, 2 slices of cheese for a snack and steak for dinner.. that literally is my daily meals! What’s confusing us is all the different opinions on the internet about how long you should do it and that it’s detrimental to your body if done for a long period. And recently that it increases your mortality rate 😳You’ve obviously been on it for years. Have you had a physical exam with a full blood work up? What does your doctor say? I love Keto and I want it to be our lifestyle. I’m 49 and my husband is 67 and has MS. Thank you for your time!- Kristin

Don’t listen to other people. Do what your body intuitively feels best doing. Your body will tell you if you’re doing things right. Because you’ll feel amazing. If you don’t feel amazing. It’s not for you.

Went on carnivore, gained weight, felt sluggish and had painful digestive issues. Went back to keto and once again feel great, taking the carnivore weight off. Macros, 75% healthy fat, 20% protein, 5% carbs and IF. It's certainly a personal journey for each of us.

      1. Oxalate dumping and sugar withdrawal from the few carbs you eat is why you felt the way you did. 2. You gained because you’re actually building muscle and bone density. Both things are very common in the beginning stages on carnivore.

Carnivore is fantastic for taking the extra weight off! I occasionally eat off, but am nearly 100% carnivore, but I do include dairy and I refuse to give it up, because it keeps this sustainable for me. I have been eating this way and haven't gained weight this winter, didn't last winter, either. Every year, I would gain 15lbs., without fail. 2 years ago, in February, I went a whole summer without losing weight. I gained over the winter and that's when I had had enough of the garbage and decided I needed a change of pace. My hormones have evened out. My weight has dropped. My chronic hip, neck and back pain is gone.

In my experience over the years, a lack of fat- & sometimes even protein- will cause me to crave sweets. It's almost always not enough fat in my meals. Agree completely that when I'm properly nourished, I do not want for ANYthing, sweets or other snack type foods, like salty things. So it's also important for me to make sure I'm salting my meat enough as well.
For me, exercise is also really important, & one of the best things about eating meat based is the extra energy I have~ along w/the motivation & mental clarity to know how important strength training & muscle maintenence is. You're absolutely right though, exercise is not necessary to lose weight. People should focus on what's working for them, as an individual, to improve their health as they go. Often, the exercise component comes naturally over time. I will say that when my protein & fat intake has been low, I tend to back off on exercise to counter that. My eating & exercise habits have become far more intuitive, yet another massive bonus to this lifestyle, imho. *It's also like aging in reverse, on many levels~ at almost 60 yrs old, I feel better than I did in my 30's.Samantha in AZ

My whole family is totally unsupportive of me. 3 months ago, I suffered a heart attack. I'm 42 years old. I have 3 stents in my heart. After getting released from the hospital, I started doing keto. My parents and both my older brothers keep telling me that all the fat from meat, eggs, and full fat dairy is going to clog my arteries again. I keep explaining that it's the carbs, sugar, seed oils, and processed foods that clog arteries. They just dismiss whatever I say. They're always eating pizza, pasta, bread, cereal, muffins, pies, etc. Then tell me that red meat and dairy fat is bad. LOL. My parents are also constantly tired all the time. I wonder why.

I say "Carnivore life style," NOT a diet. I've been eating carnivore for 8 months and I feel the best ever. Gained muscles, burned visceral fat, and got much more energy. I don't crave sugar or junk food anymore. In the morning, I drink coffee with raw cow milk, ghee butter, and MCT oil. Around noon, I eat my brunch- eggs, bacon, shredded chicken breast, or ground beef. Sometimes, I add half sliced avocado. Get through the day feeling great. Diner time between 6-7pm is ribeye steak, or picanha, or beef brisket, or pork chops, or salmon, or corned beef, or baby back ribs. Love, love, love it ❤

Back in the day the Carnivore Diet was called the High Protein Diet. It's great to drop weight fast but it's not good for you long term. I've lost 30 pounds just by cutting out sugar and reducing bad carbs. I still eat carbs and fiber along with protein and fat. I try to follow The Zone plan as I am diabetic and it helps keep my blood sugar balanced.

I did Carnivore, straight carnivore, for 30 days and lost 15 lbs but I got bored with just eating meat. I then turned to Animal Based diet which is Carnivore but with honey and fruits. But then being Latina, I missed tortillas and I love bread...so I'm trying to find my groove. I think cutting out sugar for the most part and making your own bread and tortillas helps. I make my own tortillas and bread with regular flour and it does not affect me. So anyhow, I'm glad to see you are trying carnivore. Protein is the key! I am 50 now so I need to find out what is going to work best for me. Myra, check out Dr Paul Saldino. He did carnivore then animal based. We are all so different so we all need to find what works for each of us! Just make sure when you eat, what you eat, you do it with gratitude Romans 14
