Thank you for this video. It came at the perfect time. Well, I should say I found it at the perfect time. My husband and I just bought a Lycatse Aromatica and it's still in it's dormant stage with no new growth. I couldn't seem to find a video on what amount of growth was right for repotting it. You just saved mine. It too is in peat moss and as soon as it's growing I will use the mix you just showed to repot it. Thanks.

I once heard from Wade that Lycaste was very easy to grow. However they grow too large for me, at least for now. But the flowers are very beautiful, so keeping my fingers crossed for yours and hoping to see her bloom, preferably very soon 😀

Thank you, Fernanda. I would like to branch out more with the deciduous lycastes if I get the opportunity to buy some.

Nice repotting video... I’m putting Lycaste on my wish list. I hope I can grow it successfully in my (Central Florida) climate. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for the video. I bought a small Lycaste last summer from a local grower (Clouds) here in Ontario Canada. This will be very helpful when it's time to repot. I love the look of Lycaste flowers, hopefully I can keep mine long even to see it bloom

Nice video demonstration, at what temperatures would you grow Lycate orchids at?. Thanks for sharing.

Good evening, Mick. I grow my lycaste at normal house temperatures, about 20 degrees during the day in winter and maybe 15 at night. I only have deciduous lycaste and, as you know, they are more flexible with temperature. However, it seems that this kind of temperature range would suit the evergreen ones too.

Now you have to hope it doesn't throw a new growth from the back side of the plant. So many plants I've had to repot after only a year because of that, I think they do it to get revenge because I've disturbed them.

Well, as I repotted, this thought did come to me. Some of the 'back' pseudos looked large and productive 🙄

I really like lycaste and would love to expand my collection if I can find different ones.

Thoroughly enjoyed this repot Rachel and you did a great job with the roots. I watch your videos but rarely make a comment.....I will alter that.!! Not so much of the unglamourous grower you should remove the first two letters you're looking quite dishy ( if you don't mind me saying ) Take care my friend.

Good morning, Ed. It is hard to find the time to comment on everything we watch but you gave me a big smile this morning with your compliments. Take care and love to all.
