The Swedish SAV 20.12.48 is a tank destroyer (technically I think it's an artillery vehicle) that fires 120mm APHE rounds every 1.2 seconds and sits at a relatively low battle rating of 3.7 in realistic battles. It was blatantly overpowered when it was first added, but Gaijin moved it up after a good while and eventually removed it from the tech tree, meaning it can no longer be purchased.

The APHE round is basically SAP, so it has enough filler to overpressure open tops like the M10... I love that feature. Honestly I'm pretty sure it is actual SAP, Gaijin just put it in wrong.

@@petrkdn8224 Is it a troll if their name says what they are? At that point I would sooner liken them to one of those commenters like Obi-Wan or Some Guy With a Moustache. Assuming this guy is actually doing that, that is.
That's what makes the vehicle borderline, if not outright, broken. It not only has AP with enough penetration to frontally penetrate most everything it shoots but can still kill things without a pen and basically never fails to one shot. It's fucking broken. It's one of those vehicles that was idiotic to put in the game to begin with. They at least should make it true to life so the barrel has to align straight to the autoloader for a reload making the reload take between 1.2-3.5 seconds or more depending on gun traverse and elevation. The thing is total bullshit at the BR and it doesn't fit really anywhere. Gaijin make stupid choices and it was one.
That would make more sense; this is a medium ranged self propelled artillery piece, not entirely a tank destroyer.
I'm really curious how gaijin thinked that a post-WW2 tank with auto loader would be balanced at 3.7 facing panzers 4 or shermans
It's to make of for the other Sweden tanks having paper armour and mediocre shell types. Which makes sense due to Sweden not making many during ww2

@@ThommyofThenn They really should have just left this one out. It just really, really does not fit in the BR's it plays in and any higher it is really at a disadvantage. Glad they pulled it from sale because it's been a huge fucking mistake since they added it but a little foresight would be better. But Gaijin doesn't know what that is.

I cannot take the SAV seriously since it means Service Après Vente in French, meaning "After Sales Support/Customer Service".

I think you should extend the Swedish streak by playing the Delat Torn. The 3 sec semi-auto loader as well as its mobility makes it very good at 5.0
When i first got it it had two huge issues, the stock ammo was garbage, bounced a lot and had low damage AND Gaijin refused to fix the ammop rack for months, it floated outside as the turret rotated so any arty, mg bullet of HE fired at you if your turret didn't face straight forward blew you up immediately.
And then follow it up the swede streak with the PLSS
I think he should go with the M-41 S-II. I would definitely say it's the best overall non-premium swedish vehicle for its BR up until at least 7.7.
i love delay torn i like 3 second reload but stick grind is a bitch but it is a very likesble vehicle

@@GalacticEmperorAstronomus Yes, I too can confirm it's over powered and broken even at it's higher BR and I don't own it. They could make it balanced with just a fire rate reduction it could probably even drop in BR again. But the ahistorical 1.2 second reload regardless of where the gun is facing makes it over powered in a BR that has nothing else like it. Nothing else fires KV-2 rounds at 70 rounds per minute.
@@ILoveforGames I either get tons of kills or get strafed/arty and blown to pieces in a minute. If I'm not blown to pieces, I can be clumsy and careless and still destroy a tank because I get so many shots so quickly. This tank is amazing honestly. Bought it during christmas when it became temporarily available.
After almost 1000 games in this thing I can assure you that it is very over powered
You gotta cover the Strv-103s, hull aiming is annoying on slopes but situationally, it can be unstoppable. 4 second reload, laser range finder, frontally immune from basically everything, APDS in the A, APFSD in the C. I love that thing
the best is just laughing at atgms. They do nothing.The can keep trying, but all they can do is kill the engine. They end up giving up after a while lol
they can't depress as much as they do irl so you always get shot in the lower front plate and instantly die
@@BobWill1846 I like to play the early German ATGM Tank (RakJPz 2) and if I see these things I just aim the rocket so it explodes on the ground under the Strv-103. Works every time.
@@MrTeddy12397 terrrain is your friend for that, as long as you can hide the LFP you are golden... unless someone decides to go for the commanders cupola and its pixels tall weakspot (that got em killed way more than LFP hits)

I think you'd enjoy playing the tech tree EBR and ARL-44 - the EBR suits a speedy playstyle, while the ARL is pretty nifty for penning everything. Or, if you're feeling spicy, you could also use the AMX-13 DCA 40 with its goofy 40 mil with a high fire rate

I agree with you the AMX-13 DCA 40 now has crazy traverse and all of the AMX-13's are now lighter and faster than they were in previous patches.
What i geniunely don't get is why the EBR 1951 is at 5.3 when the SARC 6lber, Puma, Chaffee, and other scout vehicles with around 100mm of penetration are significantly lower. It truly baffles me. I know it's a bit more survivable but can be .50 cal killed side on and at spots frontally i believe. It's one big advantage is it's dual drivers over the other vehicles and traverse speed. Does it make it 5.3 when the Chaffee is 3.7? Fuuuuuuuuuck no. Despite that, I've done typically well in it but it struggles to side penetrate a lot of tanks at that BR and you literallly just have to avoid a lot of battles, almost like uptiering a tank from lower in BR. Because it's basically just permanently over BRed. Because Gaijin balances minor nations at their peak of potential for some reason and other nations at their least potentiall.
ARL - 44 I think is fine at 5.3 though. They don't always get the wrong, but they do a lot. Whay's the AMX 13 FL 11 higher than the Chaffee? For no real reason honestly since they're about on par in performance when you factor in the .50 cal and 2 additonal crew members in a Chaffee.

I fucking hate that EBRs gun. I used the amx-13 with it when grinding france and failed to pen KV1s from a perfect 90° shot from the side at near point blank.
I'd personally love to see you play the (good) Type 60 SPRG tank in Japan (The twin-barrel recoilless rifle). It's an absolute gremlin at its tier and I think you'd enjoy it with the primary and secondary guns bound to different keys. Of course, this is in stark contrast to the bad Type 60 ATM but eh, Japan do be like that.

Spookston I think you should do a gameplay video on the cm11, it’s truly a hidden Jem, it has the m1 abrams firing system, and an m48 turret mounted on a m60 body. This gives it a faster reload than the m60, it also makes up for most of the armor loss on the m48 turret by suiting it up in ERA
Fun fact: the lower C cap on Domination #2 Golden Quarry, that big excavator, you can fit a BT-5 by wiggling it between the middle treads, effectively holding the cap. I did this at 9.7 (I was hunting helis with a biplane for god mode farming) so do with that information as you will
I'd also recommend ASU-57 for this kind of thing
The gun has more of a chance to score you kills and it's even smaller, although not as fast
I used this thing at 4.3 and 4.7 sometimes so I was expecting the br raise.
While Gaijin did technically remove the vehicle from the premium tree, they still bring it back for sale every now and then. That being said, I got it about a month and a half ago because it just came back randomly.

Picked up this vehicle during a sale semi-recently and i was mainly surprised by how often the APHE overpressures, it feels closer to SAPHEI than regular APHE in that regard.
Easily one of my favourite tanks in the game. I snatched it recently from the shop and it slaps so hard. Thanks for playing it Spookson
I love the sav, its aphe has more HE filler than a Sherman 75mm HE shell, so it just decimates open tops by hitting the ground next to it, you can also over pressure m10's by hitting the front plate

When this was 2.7 it was awesome. The first vehicle that was good enough for my cash.
Still good, shadow a heavy tank and provide firepower between their reloads. Also, great for dealing with rushing trucks, R3s, pumas and the like.
Beware of CAS. Use HE into the tree/building tops for last stand AA.

They just put this up for sale again. I still suck, but this is a hell of a lot of fun. So far I'm enjoying the Swedish tank tree, the Pbv-310 spaa is my favorite vehicle to play so far in the game. An AA vehicle that can bounce aircraft bullets combined with a very high rate of fire makes a fun game. This new-to-me Sav is a blast so far, although I am getting blasted a lot, like I say I'm kind of a newbie and I'm very much learning how to get around the maps let alone constantly expose myself to fire.
No idea about the T-50 but still always surprised it manages to last an entire battle while being hit 🙂🙂
Suggestion: try out the leopard 1, Its in a spot at 7.3 where it does very well, and in downtiers, faces WWII tanks that don't stand much of a chance, But also works decently well in upteirs against most vehicles due to the APDS or the HEATFS round it gets (I personally prefer APDS)

It wasn't a boulder until the crane was there & digs the surrounding, it moves by galloping really slowly.

Dude, as a German player I feel your pain. I just got the Leopard 1 and in my second battle I was one of the only people capping C, and I killed six people before the enemy team took me down with zero backup. Meanwhile my entire team was getting slaughtered on A.
I hate fighting KV-1s while playing Japan. You sometimes face them at 2.7 and they feel impossible to kill.
I got it when it came out and rarely played it. Then it was a BR orphan for a while. Then suddenly Sweden had a 3.7 lineup and wow! Its fun(ner) now. BR 3.7 has some really cool and slightly unique lineups in general despite all the overlapping vehicles.
The Command and Conquer Generals (Zero hour?) Music in the background is a nice touch

It's not an IFV. It's an APC. Because they didn't want to add a proper low BR spaag for some reason. Even though they exist.

@@popinmo That is not what defines an IFV. Usage does and this is strictly an APC. Plenty of vehicles with autocannons that aren't IFV's.

The SAV works well when the spawn rush comes in. The problem at that point is even when you have got 6 for 6, you get shot by 7 and 8 while being bombed. Great video. BTW. o7

I regularly take this tank to 4.3 and do very well. Pair it with the T18B with the 57mm cannon and you have great CAS support as well.
