    Why do you strip them?

      Hi Stephanie,
I strip them for 2 reasons,
      1. Promotes growth of the plant
      2. Gives that ladder / bamboo looking pattern..

Hi, Thanks for sharing the tip, I was thinking about stripping leaves of my lucky bamboo but didn't know how to do it. I also need your suggestion for one cutting that I put in water. It is the bottom part of 1 meter stick that I cut into 3 pieces. It does have bushy roots but it has not sprouted any leaves yet (It's been more than a month). The middle part is sprouting leaves and top part has already grown good roots.

Hey! Thank you for your comments..
Yeah.. the bottom portion is really tricky.. it did the same to me and sitting there without leaves for more than 8 months..
I have trimmed the top and applied some wax on the top to stop transpiration..
Checkout my video on Lucky bamboo propagation to know how to Wax the top.

      Cheers!!

@@Gardenified Inunderstand, but you destroyed a beautiful plant. Just little by little, not totally decimating the entire plant all at once 🤦🏼‍♀️.

@@noeliajaime7656she did not remove all the leaves ...she just removed the bottom leaves, which are the oldest leaves. And she did not destroy the plant, it looks much more nicer now and it will encourage new growth.🎍
