I feel like a draw between Aspinall and Wade was about right tbh. Both played pretty good. Nathan might rue the missed match dart for the win, but at least he got a point. Could be crucial. Clayton's form seems to be really up and down right now... it's impossible to predict what he'll do next. Losing to Jose was not good for him at all. Jose's getting results. Shame MVG and Anderson wasn't another classic. I always want a cracking game between those two if I'm honest. MVG did what he had to do though which is what really counts right now. Peter and Dimitri played the match of the night by a mile. Dimitri did not play poorly at all but Peter just reminded us why he's a world champion with that performance to come from behind and win it. Probably too late to make a playoff push but great to see him back on form.

Actually i kind of feel like he was playing great in the start but got beaten a lot because for some reason, everyone was playing their A+ game against him. Now he doesn‘t even play that good but wins so much because every player plays about 10 points below their usual average against him.

I notice a small change in Gerwen's throw, the way he moves his hand both before and during the release of the dart. Just compared it to 2018 PL Final and it seems to me I'm right, looked more elegant back then.
@@Adam-l2g you clearly don’t watch enough darts. When he’s feeling it he can wax almost anybody. He just doesn’t get in the groove enough matches to win all of them.

@@likilikiki very true. Gary performs consistently better at the bigger tournaments than most of the players below him. Sure, Mervyn King made it to the Masters finals and Bunting to the semis at worlds. But Gary finds himself in that last 16 and last 8 more than a ton of other players, which is why he’s near the top. Even without the massive winnings from worlds this year he would still be well within the top 12 or 16, where he belongs

I think he is now healthy. Professionals play through injuries and we all think they are machines. Peter is top class.
