Thai Syam language is nothing more than Lao mixed with Mon-Khmer. This is why they have harder time understanding Tai Lue for example but Lao have no real issues with Tai pinong languages. It insult to label Lao Language as Isaan cause Lao is much much older with 4,000 year histories that is backed up. Thai Syam is new child language around the block.
