We're Making BIG Moves (FULL Offseason) - Madden 24 Franchise Rebuild [Year 4] - Ep.29

- Welcome to the Madden 24 Franchise Rebuild with the Las Vegas Raiders.
The Raiders are a team that's struggled for decades. Many have tried to fix this once great franchise but the Raiders have hired (and fired) 9 head coaches, have had 13 10+ loss seasons, all since their last playoff win in the 2002 AFC Championship Game.
There is a lot of dust in the trophy case as the Raiders last won a Super Bowl 40+ years ago. No team should rebuild as long as they've had to. Now I'm looking take them over to restore this Franchise to its' former glory.
On my MrHurriicaneLP channel I make sports gaming lets play series. My series focus on building teams and players from sports like baseball and football. I play games such as Madden 24, NCAA Football 14, MLB The Show 23 and more.
My Main Channel (MrHurriicane) - bit.ly/14Sgtdz
BIG fan of a Browns/Cardinals approach - I much prefer the faster pace, it gives these series a good contrast to the main channel franchise.
yeah
Agreed
100%
Man that fictional Florida State offense was apparently stacked! Jeff Jones and Tyrese Chambers at WR, Walter Barnett at TE, and Danny Adams (72 OVR RB taken by Miami in the 5th) in the backfield. Wonder if there will be a top rated QB from FSU in next years draft lol.
Pretty cool that you noticed that, you just opened my eyes to a whole new perspective 😂
Good draft, however the chambers pick confirms you either need to trade cooper or have him as 4th in the depth chart, only coming in for 4 receiver sets or when someone is tired/hurt (and even then I’d probably prefer Seymour). Your words, you need to build for the future, Cooper does NOT help with that, he will stifle your young WR development
Yeah I wouldn't trade him because he has that mentor tag. But he can definitely be hidden down the chart
Apologies if it's already come up in-video and I'm just forgetting, but if Stockton's going to have Superstar development, it might be worth sifting through all the QB Abilities to see if there are any that could feasibly help mitigate his recklessness.
Absolutely!
@@MrHurriicaneLP try to pick abilities that would realistically make sense on Stockton
@@MrHurriicaneLP deadeye abilities definitely help mitigate interceptions
I think the last time Cane nailed a draft so well top to bottom was in the Rhett Sheffield series. You did a killer job, Tim. Well done!
Cane, I think your one weakness is. overvaluing midround defensive linemen. This team will get abused pretty badly along the DLine I fear, but that's just what happens when you don't invest early and high. IRL there isnt a single defensive Tackle paid top 25 at the position who wasnt a 1st round pick (I think there's one 2nd rounder) and edge is pretty similar. You have to take those guys early or not at all. All these late round flyers cap out at a mid 70s overall nd that just will never amount to the impact you need in the game. There is a reason teams bust at edge and d tackle so often in the 1st round. They know the late guys just dont move the needle and take risks.
you are right for the most part chris jones was second round guy, justin madubiuke was a third round guy, javon hargrave was a thrid round guy, and those guys are top 10 in pay
dang madden 18 was 6 years ago
Massively prefer the faster pace less in game action tbh - more simming = faster seasons = more roster building
Watching Joey Porter Jr. leave Pittsburgh in this series to sign with Miami reminds me of Joey Porter Sr. signing with Miami after his time in Pittsburgh
You don’t say 😂
Getting a better WR at 37 than the one picked at 8 is the kind of draft savvy I haven't seen from Cane in ages. Hope he keeps it up tomorrow!
This is why my favorite time is the offseason. Lots of moves, shocking change ups and trades. And the best time in finding the future in the draft. These episodes are always my favorite
*sees Denver not draft a QB with the fourth pick*
*flips table*
*sees Denver not draft a QB with their second pick*
*unflips table*
*flips table again*
*sees Denver not draft a QB with their third pick*
WHAT ARE WE DOING!?
Raiders had a good draft though.
Oh, you didn't hear? Denver is user controlled trying to do the practice squad qb rebuild...
Reminder that my Bears had the opportunity to draft Stockton 1st overall at the very start of this franchise. They took a Tight End.
@@nicholasbuffone175 Oh quit yer whinin'. Drafting an 84 OVR guard while the Saints' guards are arguably the worst in the league more than makes up for that I think.
@@nicholasbuffone175 BTW you wouldn't be related to ex-Bears LB Doug Buffone would you? I think of him every time I see your name since I'm an NFL history nerd.
More sim yes, but we STILL want to watch games, presuming most who watch are actual football fans and not just video games.
This is why enjoy Cane's content so much compared to some others, he's prepared to struggle and do things "properly" rather than just try and build a juggernaut as quickly as possible. The series are so much more interesting when there's some struggle involved.
Michael Mayer wasn’t just Stockton’s Pro Bowl security blanket but he blocked for Jacobs. But I trust you bud.
He had no interest and wouldn’t costed a shit ton.
5:04 Cane actually using PFR and incorporating it into his videos makes me way happier than it should.
Don't think I've ever seen you approach a draft so intelligently, very good value picks! Every time I watch you, it helps me work my draft boards in my bills franchise. Love this draft, if Stockton can't win with these prospects throw the whole quarterback away 😂
Did a double take when i heard the name Tyrese Chambers. My school (FIU) has a guy with that name that was a 1k receiver for us. Transferred to Manyland and didn't do much since. I thought you had imported somebody's draft class or something.
Love to see Cane getting rewarded for making all these moves. Was only a matter of time before the draft fell your way.
Ooh yes wasn't expecting this video today. Love it. Good practice for the Saints offseason.
absolutely crushed this offseason, Cane, I'm bummed about Vereen, wish we had pulled the trigger to trade up for him, but can't be mad at the success of the draft, and I think you made some great moves in free agency as well, can't wait for next season!
You should play the rookie safety at ss and slot corner is you really want but the 3rd corner is a better slot than him.
Personally I’d keep him up top. With 48 blockshed, I wouldn’t want him in too many run fits.
Really enjoyable draft!
I agree that the midseason games maybe get a bit too much focus in the season. Loved the pace of old Browns series but enjoy even more this combo of sim/quick sim but jumping into slow sim if the box score looks interesting. Looking forward to seeing these rookies produce 🤞
That Cleveland Browns franchise series was a classic!
This is one of those drafts that can change a franchise, wow!
At least you took Cooper. Always good to have a mentor. 27:23
I honestly have a good feeling this season. So many weapons added.
Very excited to see how it pans out, lots of good prospects who with time can bloom and new receivers to help breathe some life into Stockton's game
Hoping Alex Ramsey is the next Dre Tatum of the texans series.
Please don't bury Keller or Chambers on the depth chart.
Finally caught up with this series and can only say Stockton reminds me of using Lance in my Vikings rebuild.
At lot of ups and down that made it a wild ride.
Move Alex Ramsey to ss to start and have him play slot
Boy 49ers still going all in, they broke as hell 😂😂😂 can they even sign that rookie wr
On a be interesting to see.
IRL I don't even see how it's possible to be over the cap just before the draft, let alone that far over.
Bruh how do they not see or think of these problems 😂. Shit ain’t a M24 thing either
loved the offseason cane!! you’re not giving yourself enough credit on the offseason grade. i agree that the 3rd round and on could’ve been better but it’s at least a B+. for the most part you had a plan and got it done. with some nice hidden dev prospects too. i think this offseason will look very nice in a few years. great vid as always!
Thank you for all of the entertainment, I really enjoy watching your content!
I like the format yo have now. The full Sim games are really a catharsis for me. But I will say that as you draft I feel like you blow through what actually makes a good pick.
That Commanders draft looked CRAZY i think
I finally can put my finger on who Stockton reminds me of. He’s literally an Andy Dalton with a Playoff win.
Good on you for going for Kader. I never sign receivers or defensive backs under 6’2. Short corners seem to get mossed so easily this year.
Kader Kohou is better than any CB Chris Grier has drafted since 2016, and DolFans love to pretend he wasn't actually the GM then so IMO that shouldn't even count.
Love the faster paced style for the sim series, more episodes means more storylines and it’s a lot more fun
I like the slower seasons honestly. I was a huge fan of the browns and cardinals but by going too fast the team changes two quickly. I think I’m older maddens when players would develop faster the faster pace worked but I like the longer seasons more.
This was one of your strongest offseasons in a while, particularly the top two picks. But you need to review how you evaluate edge rushers and stop over valuing only good athleticism and B pass rush moves with no block shedding.
Juan Beard had better block shedding than any edge rusher in his draft class and both Cane and I took note of that. Didn't exactly work out. Madden this year just decided to make all draft generated edge rushers suck. Even Bengal couldn't get any to produce for him.
B-? I think you did a great job this offseason. Smart FA signings and getting out of the draft with what looks like 4 potential starters is a job well done. Solid A.
I think maybe a prospect tiering or preview episode may be prudent. Maybe not to fall in love with dudes but just get an idea of what the draft is like.
Be aggressive Cane. Go and get your guys. I know you said you had like 110 players on your board but teams honestly really have half of that. Most of the late 5th-7th round guys are teams pretty much getting a head start on udfa's. I think we all knew that the edge guy and DT were going to be bad. If the position you want isnt there, don't force it. Still a fun off-season tho. You put a lot of work into it and we appreciate it.
What. A. Draft! WOW!
Great draft. Loved the trades. I'm not used to you making so many deals during the draft.
Nice off-season, somehow someone heard me talking about upgrading at Safety lmao. Losing Tyree Wilson will hurt tho, I think that was the only ill-advised move, especially considering the 3rd pass rusher pick didn’t pan out as expected
Solid off-season! I'm excited for next season
Great draft!
As a DolFan, I approve of the Kader Kohou signing.
Let’s gooooooo 🎉 been waiting for a new episode of something lol
Russell Bright would be an amazing receiving back that could develop into a pretty good running back overall
🚨PANTHERS DRAFTED A CLEMSON PLAYER🚨 believe it or not but that’s the first one in franchise history
Tyrese Chambers and Marques Cooper were both great options at 24.
I feel like the high finesse DTs are almost always traps. They're good at a skill that is uncommon among the position, and it never ends up as good as it looks. Kreuger's B grade was only 67, and with no block shedding or power ability, he's kinda stuck.
This the year fr.
That 49ers cap lol. Well good thing this isn't IRL being a niner fan lol
RANDALL RHODES AVATAR REMINDS ME OF THE LINEBACKER IN THE MOVIE "THE PROGRAM" THAT BLOWS OUT HIS KNEE. YEA IM OLD SCHOOL
You make good content I get impatient sometimes 😂
Greenberry was a top QB during his prime as well
I feel like the quality of this draft, is like someone else was hired (in the fictional life of the series) either a new GM or some draft strategy people from SF 😂
I think there’s a good mix of simulating and watching bc if you sim too much we dont even get to see alot of the players
Good draft, just wish cpu teams would trade with each other during the draft. I think they used to if I’m not mistaken.
cane finally cooked with a draft. i could shed a tear 🥲
Just started watching & already I'm hoping he drafted Tyrese Chambers & turned him into a running back 🙏🏿
Edit: Saw Chambers get drafted AND had a running back number confirms to me that he's a future RB1. Make it happen Cane!!
Honestly I like seeing halves of games through the season; if all we saw was Stockton’s production and ratings through simming we’d think he’s Justin Herbert, not rocket arm Derek Carr. Oh wait, what’s the difference?
Good draft
@57:12 🤣🤣🤣 -114M’s is Saints levels of finances
21:32 Out of curiosity…why did you trade him to a division rival?
I overlooked that. Didn't realize until the end.
coop has to be in that 89 !!
i’m really excited for this season but also, being a cowboys fan, i know what it’s like to have an amazing team not succeed in the playoffs so my hopes are too high
I think you have to really pay attention to players with A rankings, even if other ratings aren't great they at least have a chance to just have some elite rating that you can mold their career around. Seems to be a trend with some of the later round hidden dev players
Yeah there's something to be said about the A grades and the possibility of going way over expectations. I can't believe that 90 route running.
@@MrHurriicaneLP to be fair this was also just kind of a freak class, that number one overall pass rusher is one of the best prospects I've ever seen
"I really like Erick Sharp a lot."
I hereby dub thee Erick Sir Sharpalot, Order of Wide Receiving. So be it.
Has there been any changes to xp sliders?
Good off season. As for the season ahead, maybe watch four/five games and sim the rest.
21:27 was a move one offseason overdue. I was thinking Cane would never do it.
I'm sure Denver passing on a QB in the top 5 for a DE will absolutely not come back to haunt them, it never has before in recent memory like say 2018 right?
I THINK THE SHEPPARD AD JETT PICKS WERE A MISS BUT THE CHAMBERS AND RAMSAY WERE VERY GOOD PICKS
My only disappointment is no 5th/6th round RB
It’s now all on Stockton one bad season trade and reset it and build it around Clinton drew Keller and that new receiver Tyrese chambers
Really curious how the 49ers are going to handle their cap situation
Start all the hidden dev rookies!
Almost every super bowl champion of the last 10+ years had a QB on a big contract. Stockton is very good, and it makes zero sense to not pay him. People treat him like a below average QB.
4:31 Is Vegas not a big market?
are you ever gonna do nfl head coach 09
That was a solid offseason! What is the song you use at 40:35?
I'm like 80% sure it's one of the themes from cyberpunk
amari cooper tight end
commanders a+ draft
So no Joe Roberts TE1? 💔
You trying to sell us on Luke Weaver Cane?
-114M on the cap is outrageous 😂😂😂 57:12
Edit all the numbers and gear of all the rookies!
Cane can’t draft a good pass rusher challenge
Yes please focus more on the team building and a faster pace for the series! I like that we actually get to know the players but if I wanted to watch another mid season game I’d watch saints franchise!
I’m here for the team building. It’s the main reason I enjoy these rebuilds over watching users play the actual games. It’s all RNG. Would like the pace to pick up too
LOL Mock 4 are lies and Mock 5 are accurate picks until User makes their choices
Best Cane off-season of all time??
No, because tomorrow will be better 😎
Traded davante to a division rival 😭😭😭
Honestly I loved the cards/browns series. I personally struggle to watch so many of these cpu games. I think changing styles would be a gamechanger
Awesome offseason ! I’m really excited to see what happens next season with all the young hidden development talent! I just got to say I’m not a huge fan of bringing back cooper when you have Anthony Milton who’s shown to be a playmaker. Big arm qb + huge speed needs to be a mainstay
