I was actually really surprised by how effective the UN has been in most of their missions. Obviously the news will explode any failure or even misconception as much as they can for clicks and eyeballs. But they have a pretty impressive success rate in preventing or calming violence. Something like 75% of the civil wars they've intervened in are still holding together their agreed ceasefire. One of the biggest misconceptions of the UN I think is that it's supposed to to deliver world peace by controlling or influencing the larger nations, the US, China, what's left of Russia, India, Brazil, Japan, the EU, etc. For the biggun's the UN is there to act as a permanent line of communication. That way there's always an open, if maybe backdoor line of communication open so shit doesn't escalate as much as it might. Considering where a lot of the funding, gear, and manpower comes from, the UN is fairly beholden to the larger nations, and as horribly undemocratic as the Security Council is, it's pretty much the only thing that keeps the big guys and gals seated at the table. Some pretty interesting stuff.
I imagine once the UN are added there will be special extracts for them or with them, probably depending on Peacekeepers rep. Also once story quests are implemented and quest lines are finished we'll probably get some answers on this subject.

I like to think the scavs who use heating pipe just yeet themselves over by climbing the pipes. Little things like this video and lore tidbits is why I love your videos

Yeah that part was a creative liberty I took to make the questlines seem more narrative and story-like. You'll see that a lot in this series.
