I grad high 08 06with captain Jv basketball injury. I played this song thinking the worst and the best..now 15 years later my mom has cancer . Your amazing. Thanks 😊
Glad I searched your name on TH-cam. What a joy this showing was. I discovered art of motion back in 2009. That album has been on repeat since. Got me through college, medical school, and residency. Now a staple in my home and enjoyed by the kids. Looking forward to a new album and hopefully a live showing.
When I read this comment I realized it's kind of the same for me! Going back in time I bought Art of Motion because... I couldn't find it on Napster! Since then Andy's Mp3s are following me and like in your home also in mine my children are listening to it! Thanks Andy for your magic!
Gorgeous! Not sure why TH-cam wouldn't ever pop this up until more than two years later, but letter late than never. Some of those songs are pretty nostalgic for me, thinking back on listening to you as a teenager. Don't ever stop being you. :)
Commenting to boost Andy. Mckee Fever for life! My favorite songwriter and performer. Thank you for spending the time in between songs to talk about your life, experiences, stories behind songs, etc. You always inspire me to always keep pushing as a guitarist and human. Love all around
If all the people out there had just a small part of the soul and heart that you have given us all these years the world would be a very peaceful place. Thank you very much Andy
A few years ago a friend showed me you on TH-cam and your technique, the way of playing and songs with a fantastic sense of harmony, melody and rhythm, and at the same time I dream of this sound to hear your compositions played with the whole band or symphony orchestra, maybe someday we will hear you together with I wish you hearts and best wishes from Poland !!!

JUST discovered you exist TODAY because you posted something my guitar idol Phil Keaggy commented on and it sent me on a rabbit trail to find out about you. I mean if HE admires you, who wouldn’t, right? So glad I searched. I will listen to ALL your music now. Not only are you a wonderful artist, you seem to be a wonderful human being, period. Makes my day! Singer here, guitar teacher of only ONE, an 11 yr old wanting to become a worship leader. We are both learning fingerstyle guitar together and it kicks our butts but people like you will inspire us to keep on picking away at it!! God bless you.
This feel just like back in the art of motion days of TH-cam and I thank you for your craft. I’d listen to your music through so many of my younger years and now it’s something I come back to to remember
7-14 is a new favorite of mine Andy, hearing it again years later. I saw you in Eugene, OR. in 2016. Unforgettable! Glad to see you're touring England and Ireland this year.
APPLAUSE AND CHEERS AND SHOUTS of LOVE AND ADMIRATION!!!!! Wish I could help all your fans on here let you know how much we loved watching and listening!!
My son's showed me you on you tube many years ago and I couldn't believe the sounds one man could achieve. With 1 acoustic guitar. That was many years ago they are grown now but this video still shows how easy you make BEAUTIFUL music .You are talented ...God continued to bless you Andy
Thank you Mr McKee your tunage and time to make that new tune say something speaks to me only for new sounds can be made with understanding a sound that hasn't be tunes or detuned yet.om sorry when I played along with you I made some mistakes with baritone. It's B ounding structure I believe ING. I'm sorry for your father passing. If there's anything I can like not smoke just tell me again and I know what we should do. I'll quit again. I always just hoped someone had done something by now so I keep doing when I know I'm catching breath. But with all your heart you say so. Can I do it if you'd play with me and maybe teach me some more
Thank you for posting this! For people like me who might realistically might not get to an in person concert getting to hear amazing music like this done as a show is a real treat. You can't hear me clapping but the appreciation is still there :-).
I absolutely fucking love Ouray. Havent even listened past it yet. The bassy notes on 36.03 to 36.05. Two seconds of musical magic to me . Thanks Andy , I love everything I've heard from you
art of motion was the last piece of physical media that i have ever bought. even at the time in 2009 buying physical media wasn't really a thing anymore but i was so blown away by your skill and sound that i wanted to show my support and not just download/steal the album. It has been the soundtrack to many moments in my life and i continue to be inspired by your talent. Anyway just wanted to share that in case you read your comments. I enjoyed watching you play these songs that i have heard so so many times. Thank you sir
Although it was weird for you playing to a camera instead of a crowd, we could still totally feel the emotion and passion of your music. Thanks for all you do!
The Ninja Wizard Jesus of acoustic guitar playing. If this doesnt inspire you, we can never be friends. I first stumbled upon his playing when the vids from 14 years ago recording in a church (?) came out. I mean, you can watch him on mute and its still epic! Im a professional drummer but dabble in guitar as well and can honestly say, people who play at Andy's level (basically nobody) have put the work and hours etc in, and deserve all they get. Plus your stuff is just soothing and beautiful and always interesting to listen to. Thanks man.
Man Andy, my guitar journey over the last TWENTY YEARS has included you. We've come along way, sir since that first drifting video. Well... Better part of 20 years anyway
Dear Andy, thank you for doing this. I have never seen a live concert of yours. Have been a fan of your music since a friend of mine played me drifting from TH-cam four years back. Much love from India.
You know you are investing in your guitar talent when you invest in a Greenfield. Wow what a sound. The photo together when you came to SLC is a treasured possession I will never forget. Such a great live show!!
Andy! You should do this again live with a Chat so that you can get feedback and interaction with your fans! Your music is epic and incredible! So awesome to see this. Been a big fan of yours for a long time!
Ive been listening to your music for 10 years now... Thank you for all of the inspiration over the years! Your music has strongly influenced my guitar playing and has gotten me through alot of really hard times! Cheers man🤘😈🤘
amazing concert!! Been a fan since 2011 and you inspired me to start playing acoustic guitar, which has been a huge joy in my life and love playing fingerstyle. Your music is just as fresh, mysterious, and beautiful as when I heard it over a decade ago. Thanks for bringing such incredible music into the world Andy. Hope to see you in concert again sometime soon
Finally hearing the story behind your songs was wonderful. Over a decade ago when I stumbled on "Drifting" during high school. You were among the only musicians I listened to then. Excellent performance. Very nostalgic for me.
i can’t imagine what it’s like for you to be playing in front of a camera instead of an audience, we really appreciate it though! thank you for sharing this with us
To answer your question: I am on holidays close to Labin in Istria/Kroatia, looking just after sunrise at the mediterranian see and the islands across, listening to your concert and yes: your energy tranferes here and I hope it transferes back to you from here! Greeting from Lars
Because of you, many new/early and advanced guitarists will be inspired to write amazing music. Loved seeing you live in Denver a few years back. Absolutely unbelievable everytime I hear you.
From one Kansan far away from home to another Kansan: your music awesome. Thank you for doing a TH-cam gig with stories. 'Looking forward to attending a future live concert out West...j
This guy is great. But how do you create a unified list. Is he better than SRV? I love both of their music, but they are so different, that I really can't compare them.
thanks Andy. It's a while since you recorded this and though I hear your music all the time, your in my playlist mixes, it is good to see you again and hear you speak. I've been able to be at several of your shows and love your composition, playing style, and enthusiasm for the music. Peace.
I saw Andy playing at the townhall 10/2/21 NYC - he used a baritone guitar since his other guitar was damaged by the airlines - that Baritone guitar is super nice. . He did Rylynn on it and it was so great - like so different - I wish someone has a recording of that version or Rylynn it was so amazing and different than anything else I can find. It was the first time hearing it - a new convert - and it brought tears to my eyes. .I didn't even know the story
I saw him 10/4 in Gettysburg.... two days after you. Andy is amazing.... and there's nothing like Tommy live. I hope they tour together for many more years.
How did you not age, that's not fair. Tell us your secrets! I'm convinced you had a rock-off with the devil and won his golden guitar. That golden guitar is locked away in a safe and is what gives you your awesome guitar skills and immortality!
10:02 - Drifting. My absolute favorite, inspired me to start learn to play guitar, and was one of the best descisions I have made.
Anyone else who came here just for Ebon Coast? Incredible
Drifting is one of the best masterpieces ever conceived on the guitar
What a guy! Unbelievable. Almost no words. Except....what strong and gentle hands you have... perfect control.
I grad high 08 06with captain Jv basketball injury. I played this song thinking the worst and the best..now 15 years later my mom has cancer . Your amazing. Thanks 😊

Wow!
I'm glad I read this. I thought I was the only one who's been listening to Andy's music since college.
I wish you and your family all the best.

If electronics could only clap and scream. I saw you in Nashville. That's a memory. I can pull this up anytime. What a blessing!

Never knew about the Blue Liquid tuning story! So cool that one of my top favs happened almost completely by chance.
Awesome as ever Sir !! Admirer of You since mid 2008. Soothing in a very rough economic time for Me, back then and still. Since '08 - '09...
Andy's music got me through some tough times overseas over a decade ago. It's always so great to watch him play.
I haven't re watched this since live, and seeing the silent transition between For my Father, and RyLynn ... I forgot. ❤ I'm crying just as hard
My son's showed me you on you tube many years ago and I couldn't believe the sounds one man could achieve. With 1 acoustic guitar. That was many years ago they are grown now but this video still shows how easy you make BEAUTIFUL music .You are talented ...God continued to bless you Andy

Eric Clapton made guitars gently weep.
Jerry Cantrell makes a guitar scream.
Andy McKee makes a guitar the best dancing partner you could ask for.
World class guitarist, wouldn’t be surprised to see him in a best of list if not already there
This guy is great. But how do you create a unified list. Is he better than SRV? I love both of their music, but they are so different, that I really can't compare them.

Amazing guitar skills! I love it how you tune those pieces in different tuning arrangements.
