    I grew up, spending my middle teen years and High School, in Hollywood, Florida. My first spear fishing in life was at those jacks, about 1968/1969. First trip to jacks was in a boat to the outer point. We used to walk up from the pier, (no bridges then), and line up with whatever trees it was then, and swim out from the beach. Some days it was so full of marine life, it was amazing.

      Thats awesome. I always wish I could have got to see the reef back then. I bet there was a ton of lobster then 🦞

    Quick question, how exactly would I get that location where the jacks are and how would I get to parking lot 1?

      just do it and keep your chin up and on the real sharks going to be closer to peer

      @@keithwilson9378 so basically I should avoid snorkeling close to piers and structures but reefs should be fine?

      @@alintudorstefanescu2083 no matter were u go you can run into sharks but the peir many fish off it and caught alot of sharks there i never seen a shark at that reef . but i feel reefs are safer then buy piers . unless you go further out to deeper reefs . and if you go to hollywood beach there are some reefs real close to shore too. i use to always go snorkeling at those reefs i seen a sand shark once in the 100 times i went . but been on that pier and seen sharks swimming buy it plenty of times

    Dumb question but what do u do with your car keys when u snorkel? Also how do u control your dive flag? Do u tie it to your body?

    • @desdigitals
      @desdigitals  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      miamiwax The best way to hold a dive flag is bring a friend and have them hold it lol. I carry my flag in my hand and use the plastic piece like an extension of my hand and use it to swim. My wife wraps it around herself. I lock my keys in my truck because I have a key pad to unlock my truck. Thanks for watching and please subscribe.

    Do you use a weight belt? If so how much weight?

    • @desdigitals
      @desdigitals  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Todd. I am a certified diver and I always use weights when diving. You judge your weight amount by your own personal body weight. I was snorkeling in this video. Follow this link to dive buddy to calculate the weight you should use. Thanks for watching and please subscribe. ►://www.divebuddy.com/calculator/weight.aspx

    Palm trees were cut last year. Now we can find them on google maps and create a coordinance.
