Honestly I was a casual fan/listener of BTS before I heard this song. I first heard his mixtape the year it came out because a friend told me to check it out, but I think it truly hit me a while later when mental health started becoming even more important to me on a general scale. There's a saying that you find BTS when you need them, and I feel like it's true? Like you might see them and feel skeptical at first, maybe even dislike them or not understand the appeal, until you look beyond that and truly want to understand their message and feelings that you might end up respecting or loving them because of that sincerity and honesty.

The song finished in a victorious not for me, he no longer fights with his dark side, he accepts his status as an 'idol' and is even proud of it, he is proud of what he has achieved, he is loved and loved his members and felt like he has found where he belongs. This song will always means so much for me. The way he uses the sound of his breathing, the character he plays with his changing voice, coughs, even his laugh.

Suga quickly became my bias when I started listening because he kept pulling my attention and writing things I related to and understood (Suga and RM constantly write things that matter and mean the world to me, I've listened to various rappers over the years but Suga and RM are the first that I really relate to regularly so while I love the vocal line and J-Hope and Jimin are amazing dancers, it's Suga and then RM who constantly bring me in and keep me).

I love all seven, I love BTS. There are many songs that I connect with, that have a deep personal meaning for me. But Yoongi, he just reaches even deeper into my heart, somehow. It’s like, he really sees us. And he shows us the parts of him that will help us look inward and face the darkness. He is holding our hands and telling us that we must try to be strong enough to keep going, to push through. He helped me through some really bad shit, and I am so grateful I found BTS - and Yoongi. 💜💜 You are strong, life will undoubtedly throw more shit at you at some point, but you know that you have emotional fortitude now, take the time you need, and just keep doing what you need to do. You are brave. I had never truly listened to rap before BTS. I discovered them though Agust D's Daechwita, then followed by First Love and The Last. I had never cried for a rap song before. That morning I knew something switched. I'm so grateful I've found them, or they found me, I don't know. The second part of the song is more cheerful, and Suga (thankfully) seems okay now. But the sad thing is the majority of people who had an episode of depression will have it again in the future. Especially if one was so depressed he tried to kill himself. Depression is not like a broken bone which will heal and you'll forget about it. Remission can last for years, but unlikely forever... I personally had it come back several times, and when I had a remission, I felt so relieved. Like I'm finally on the bright side and everything will turn out fine. I'm good now. But I know the shit will come back, just don't know when. I hope Suga's remission will last for many many years.

You can totally have as many biases/favorites as you want! ☺️ The deeper I went into BTS and each members’ work separately the more I couldn’t decide who I like the most, loool, they just all add so much distinct and personal flavor to their art and manage to blend it so well with another members’ own distinct flavor it’s just a musical masterpiece with so much appeal to so many different audiences of music, from people who prefer classical to people who prefer hip-hop. BTS, together, are utterly brilliant, I can’t wait for you to get more into each members’ personal stuff to see how their personal flavor is transferred to the group’s music because it’s just…mind blowing. Also their solo stuff is just so personal and complex you want to cry 😂 BTS and each separate member each have so much to offer it’s literally some of the best music, on par with Queen, Beatles, and perhaps beyond them to musical icons such as Beethoven and Mozart. I'm baby ARMY, I accidentally clicked a video for Butter's Billboard performance and Jimin's dancing interested me first. Suga quickly became my bias when I started listening because he kept pulling my attention and writing things I related to and understood (Suga and RM constantly write things that matter and mean the world to me, I've listened to various rappers over the years but Suga and RM are the first that I really relate to regularly so while I love the vocal line and J-Hope and Jimin are amazing dancers, it's Suga and then RM who constantly bring me in and keep me).

I love all seven, I love BTS. There are many songs that I connect with, that have a deep personal meaning for me. But Yoongi, he just reaches even deeper into my heart, somehow. It’s like, he really sees us. And he shows us the parts of him that will help us look inward and face the darkness. He is holding our hands and telling us that we must try to be strong enough to keep going, to push through. He helped me through some really bad shit, and I am so grateful I found BTS - and Yoongi. 💜💜

I had never truly listened to rap before BTS. I discovered them though Agust D's Daechwita, then followed by First Love and The Last. I had never cried for a rap song before. That morning I knew something switched. I'm so grateful I've found them, or they found me, I don't know. The second part of the song is more cheerful, and Suga (thankfully) seems okay now. But the sad thing is the majority of people who had an episode of depression will have it again in the future. Especially if one was so depressed he tried to kill himself. Depression is not like a broken bone which will heal and you'll forget about it. Remission can last for years, but unlikely forever... I personally had it come back several times, and when I had a remission, I felt so relieved. Like I'm finally on the bright side and everything will turn out fine.
I'm good now. But I know the shit will come back, just don't know when. I hope Suga's remission will last for many many years.
